O.k. so must people say the put up with dollhouse. I have not watched the very last episode epitah but will soon. I must say I loved Dollhouse. every charcter every episode. I am sad to see it go. I got lost when ever I watched and forgot everything going on around me. few shows do that. Is joss making anymore tv shows or movies? Or will he just be a comicbook guy now?

Dollhouse was definitely an amazing show if you actually took the chance to watch it, especially once it got to the second half of s1. I really wish it would have continued, as this season was just so full of awesomesauce I could hardly contain myself every week. However, I also wonder how much of the story for s2 happened this year because they had to wrap up the show, and what we would have actually seen revealed had the show gone on for another season.
I watched Epitaph 1 prior to the series finale of Epitaph 2, which if you can watch it again that way I fully recommend it! It was an awesome way to watch the show end, and E1 goes perfectly with E2. As far as Joss's future in television, I'm not sure if we will be seeing that again anytime soon. After Firefly and Angel, Joss was ready to move onto movies. If it wasn't for Eliza coming to him and him thinking up Dollhouse, he probably wouldn't have came back. So while I'm not holding my breathe for his return to tv right now, I would still love it and watch his next show if he does. There is still some talk (though its few and far between, and something else I wouldn't be getting my hopes up for fear of disappointment) about the Ripper series which would be focused Giles' character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Before Dollhouse came about, Joss and Tony Head were discussing doing something with the Ripper idea. There was talk of it either becoming a BBC series, mini-series, or TV movie. I know I've read an article recently that was an interview with Tony Head saying that Joss had shown him a story that he had written for Ripper and that Tony really hopes that it is still something they can make one day because it was a really lovely story for this character. Talks of Ripper stopped once again when Joss got the greenlight for Dollhouse, but it is possible that discussions will begin again since Dollhouse is now over. *crosses fingers without getting my hopes up once again* Joss also will have a horror movie coming out in 2011 that he co-wrote with Drew Goddard (who was also a writer for Buffy and Angel). The film is called "The Cabin in the Woods", and has been something I have been looking forward to for the past year now. It was suppose to be released this year, but it is now being pushed back to be released on Jan. 14th, 2011 (as of now) so that they can make into a 3D movie. The film will also star Whedonverse alumnis Amy Acker (Fred on Angel/Dr. Saunders on Dollhouse), Fran Kranz (Topher on Dollhouse), and Tom Lenk (Andrew on Buffy). He is also suppose to be directing an upcoming Glee episode. And then of course there are always the comics that Joss works on that will continue.

FX, which carries 'Rescue Me,' 'Nip/Tuck', 'Damages' and 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia', is interested in a Joss project. They were also the cable network that used to broadcast two BtVS eps a day -- this would remove the content limits that the Joss & ME faced with its previous ventures.

I love Dollhouse. Not as much as Buffy (btvs is my number 1, so no one surpasses it), Angel and Firefly/Serenity but I love it.
Almost every episode is super interesting and it makes us wonder about life, free will and just everything in between. The characters are also wonderful, a Joss Whedon speciality. Most people were mad that they didn´t have any character to root for, so they disliked the series for the most part but this show wasn´t meant to be likeable. I loved Echo or Sierra or even Adelle but the point was to show the various uses of power, and how people manipulate each other to use it and to have it. Dollhouse was showing how these people were surviving in a stranger world, in an ugly world full of corruption and greed, so this was not a happy show. And this fascinates me! I love Dollhouse and I cannot wait to buy the DVD to own and have rewatches. |

I hear what you are saying. But I found echo to be the hero. She took lemons and made lemon aid. I watched each week to see how she would handle the next thing thrown in her way. I loved the way she took everything in stride. I still cannot figure out if what made her that was caroline underneath or she became someone new. THe only thing lost on me at this moment.

I'm loving season 2 at the moment - I can see what you're seeing about the Lemons comment ImmortalJedi!
As for having people to root for - Sierra and Victor are there for that; Echo and Adelle are there for power and Boyd is there for conscience. Topher is the brains and sometimes the comedy. Kind of like in Angel - where each person has their roles.I think Season 1 as with most shows is there to set up the story - this is what the Dollhouse is; these are the characters; oh, and these are the big bads. Season 2 is usually where things get going, unfortunately for Joss, it's also where he's also had to end it all too. It would have been interesting to see where he would have gone. |

I don't like boyd, but those others are decent. Echo to me is still the hero. I liked toni but don't look at him as a hero. Topher ia a lot of fun.

I'm looking forward to finding out what happens at the end of all this - it's really difficult for me (and my nosey nature) to stay away from spoilers!
![]() Anyway, on our Sci-Fi channel, they're doing a Dollhouse season finale- the last 3 episodes back to back! It'll probably be nearer the weekend when I get round to watching them - but I still can't wait. |
