    + Fear, Itself
    - Wild At Heart

Fear, Itself : "Actual size." - Giles shows Buffy the page on Gachnar that illustrates him to scale, she shrugs and closes the book. - 5

Wild At Heart : (There are no lines over the final scene) - After leaving Willow crying, Oz puts his bag in his van, hesitates, then drives away. - 2

Hush : "I guess we do." - Buffy and Riley sit facing each other, having agreed they need to talk but neither saying anything. - 5

Doomed : Spike tries to persuade Willow and Xander to go out demon-hunting rather than watching TV. - "Oh come on!" - 3

This Year's Girl : "Five by five." Having smashed the gizmo after knocking Faith out, Buffy's reply to Joyce and her following smile looking down at the fallen 'Faith' as the police arrive, implies the body swap that's occurred. - 7

Who Are You? : "Fun." - The combined shot as Buffy contemplates Faith's exit fades to only show Faith as she is leaving town in a cargo car of a train, alone and looking lost. - 5

New Moon Rising : "Right now?" As Willow's smiles/nods at Tara's response to her offer to make it up to her right now, Tara blows out the candle. - 5

Primeval : "Burn it down, and salt the Earth." - After discussing the events of the initiative and deciding to shut it down, the tv screen that had been showing some video footage of the battle goes static. - 6

Restless : "You haven't even begun." - Buffy, drawn to the darkened bedroom as she recalls Tara's words, is framed in the doorway then turns and walks out of sight. - 7

I don't expect Doomed to last to the reset, but I'd keep it above Hush, and New Moon Rising personally, although I accept the latter is most likely a very unpopular opinion.

I'm afraid I'm the total opposite. I find "New Moon Rising" to be really sweet and emotional whereas "Doomed" is funny but nothing particularly great.

    + New Moon Rising
    - Doomed

Fear, Itself : "Actual size." - Giles shows Buffy the page on Gachnar that illustrates him to scale, she shrugs and closes the book. - 5

I agree Doomed is mostly just a funny ending, but I suppose I feel it has a little more as it is really key for the character to regain some of what he's lost and show an inclination to get involved if he can indulge what he enjoys in the process. I don't think it has as much going on for it as Fear, Itself perhaps even, I just personally prefer them both to Hush/New Moon Rising, which I think are the other two weaker ones left. I didn't expect to find possibly any agreement re: New Moon Rising either, just going from what had been said about it earlier. I'm happy to accept it is far more likely to get through the reset than Fear, Itself or Doomed. I actually still find Willow/Tara a little hard to connect to at times when they are first getting together/earlier on in their relationship and find them/Tara far more engaging from Tough Love onwards.

I'm actually the polar opposite when it comes to Willow/Tara The only time I really connect with them is in Season 4 and whilst I have no problems with them in Season 5-6 I'm pretty apathetic to them overall. Their story from "Hush" to "New Moon Rising" is the only time that I can actually relate to them as a gay person. The secrecy in their relationship, Willow's avoidance to show intimacy in front of her friends, and especially Tara's hurt and confusion, are all really relatable to me. Once they actually get into a relationship and come out I find their transition into a public relationship to be too easy for me. Not that it can't happen like that (I would hope for most people it did) I just personally can't relate to it myself.

"New Moon Rising" is the one episode I connect to Tara more than any other. I could probably write 5 essays on that scene where Oz shows up at Giles' house just all on it's own. She really speaks to me there. Plus in general I just love the way the Oz/Willow/Tara triangle is handled (especially in comparison to Angel/Buffy/Spike).

I am somewhere in-between on this—

I am very much moved by the end of NMR

And by the Willow-Tara arc in S4—

Although not gay, I can, for other reasons, very much
connect to the struggles of hiding, fearing loss (Willow
of her friends—and the self she knows, Tara of Willow),
confusion, all of which vampmogs writes so well...

(For similar other reasons, I also connect to their arc
in S6, with Willow's betrayal and deceptions and abuse...
S5 Willow-Tara are charming and culturally significant
to me, but they are not as interesting... )

On the other hand, I also very much adore the end
of Doomed for the reasons Stoney has given:
it marks, with its tinge of awkward humour, one
bordering on desperation, a turn in Spike that will
be crucial to his arc throughout the seasons to come—

Between the two, I think my heart will go to NMR

That look on Tara's face as Willow blows out the candle...

But I would want LtF and Hush to go first:

The former has a certain humourous depth, but it simply
does not resonate, for me, as profoundly as do the
other remaining episodes; the latter... I am rather
surprised it has remained untouched—I do not think that
there has been a single vote for or against it, which
implicates me as much as everyone else in its continuing
thereness—but I find it at once utterly significant and
utterly bland... It had been my plan to go after it next...

Well, that's gonna change now. Hush was going to be my next target.

    + Fear, Itself
    - Hush

Fear, Itself : "Actual size." - Giles shows Buffy the page on Gachnar that illustrates him to scale, she shrugs and closes the book. - 6

Hush : "I guess we do." - Buffy and Riley sit facing each other, having agreed they need to talk but neither saying anything. - 4

New Moon Rising : "Right now?" As Willow's smiles/nods at Tara's response to her offer to make it up to her right now, Tara blows out the candle. - 6
