Robbie sounds great! It's good to see a real football fan opening the World Cup!
Never much cared for picket fences, anyway. Bloody dangerous.

Port Vale?! That's pushing the definition of "real".*

*Conflict of interest. I'm from Stoke originally.

I didn't know that, they're not talking about it down here, apparently. The commentators say team 2014 was better, but Germany has good chances this year.

I put my money on Brazil, Spain or France.
Yeah, France is one team they say has chances, at least to be among the three final teams.

You shouldn`t underestimate the home advantage
Sometimes it doesn't mean much... 2014

I can understand the feeling, and "dystopian alternate timeline" describes it perfectly. In 2014, I think Brazil qualified only because the country was hosting the Cup, and for 2018, I remember we had some hiccups in the beginning (before changing the coach). It would have been a tragedy if we didn't qualify. We - Italy and Brazil - love football and we are Champions.

It's probably weakest team Russia ever. To make top sixteen would be success already. Top four is absolutely out of question.

Well...maybe I was exaggerating. There were tears and then our chancellor stepped in and gave them a pep talk. Must be a national crisis. No, it mus be THE national crisis. Who cares about dieselgate or punity tariffs, when two members of our national Football Team are in distress?

Well, if Neymar hurts any part of his precious body in these days, we'll sure have the biggest crisis of all; I can picture some commentators having a stroke live on TV, and saying "everything is lost now". It happened with Ronaldo in France (?) (and all was indeed lost) - our "Neymar dependance" is really... sad? But it's just one month, and soon enough we'll be back to more depressing issues...

The Spanish coach crisis is all over TV, and last week they said Saudi Arabia's players would be feasting because of Ramadan so propably they wouldn't be fit for the match (5 x 0!). Maybe the crisis with the German players will be mentioned in the day of Germany first game.

This match'll be the death of me!

LOL! The Guardian final comment "Full time: Portugal 3-3 Spain The World Cup? Bloody hell."

Paid journalists couldn't come up with a better comment than me!

    That was STUNNING!
