It's the British Commonwealth, dude! They also (some folks anyway) drink tea there... I have usually been able to request electric tea kettles at Canadian hotels in lieu of coffee makers. Try that in a US hotel and you just get a dirty look. Or utter mystification.

After watching NCIS of the 'kill all the womens' and 'tragic manpain' and 'the villain comes after Gibbs again', I actually think Supernatural would probably be an improvement. At least their nonsense is fun... (at least the first 6 seasons were) And they don't seem to think women are stupider than men... or just screech owls that die when men need crises.

Since Spike is my archetype for sexual perfection, I totally agree with you. They're too big. Just not compact enough... I like my men with a bit of naughty grace. They are more like football with a side of basketball, but with none of the endorphins of either. They are two steps up from Riley, but that's about all the good I can come up with! I don't watch for their hotness... Castiel on the other hand... has possibilities... and cuteness. There ARE a lot of men on the show. Some are yummy.

As far as I know they watch coronation street everywhere. It's the dr who of soap operas.

I don't find the leads hot but I still enjoy the show. Is it the best writing. No. But is it fun and entertaining and has great running guest characters yes. I loved Felicia day as Charlie Bradbury and ostric chai as Kevin tran. There are some great highlights that make the show very watchable.

Misha Collins rocks - and I mean as a human being. I love his politics, his humor, his youtube videos cooking with his son (who was about 3 at the time), and his work with various charities. He's the actor who plays Castiel, the angel. I'm not a fan of the show, but when I'm bored and looking for something mindless I've been known to watch it on netflix. I don't think there is anything to follow - and they have jumped the shark so many times the shark is bored with them. C'mon - they have fought against God, and then arranged to have God and his big sister go into family therapy. They've fought Satan, beat him, and left their little brother in hell because the show just dropped the storyline. At this stage it's mostly lampshading from what I recall although it's been a year or two since I checked it out.
Bottom line is, even if you see them coming, you're not ready for the big moments...The big moments are gonna come, you can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.

It's funny, but throughout this forum, within most threads, there is a pro-Canada post. Some are just buried within a bigger post, some are videos, but they are there, like subliminal advertising, it's subliminal Canadanism . . . this forum is either very pro-Canada or the Canadians are taking over!

There is a not so evil plot a foot for Canada to take over the world. We're pretty sure we can make some improvements. I'd tell you more but then DanSlayer would have to apologize to you until your head explodes.

There is subliminal messaging in shanaia's music. Known anyone recently controlled?

Oh don't worry, I think Trump is just going to be floated out to international waters and left there, as no one would claim him

The best thing about the handmaids tale is how good it makes Canada look. However, seeing as the author, Margaret Atwood, is Canadian it's not really an impartial view point. I can only hope that Canadians would act as portrayed in S1 E10 around the 37 minute mark to the 39 minute mark. That's what I aspire my Canada to be. Exactly like that.

If that doesnt get DBJ and Priceless and some of my buds moving here or at least dropping by to visit their old pal GoSpuffy I don't know what will.

That is a great scene GoSpuffy, considering the hell she'd come from

I'm definitely up for a visit, especially if I get all the mac & cheese I can eat

Ha! Currently I'm on keto. Previously I was a vegan. Either way mac and cheese has been seriously missing from my life. How do you feel about broccoli and cheese as a substitute?

    What is keto?
"The ketogenic diet (or keto diet, for short) is a low-carb, high-fat diet that offers many health benefits." You and google fallen out again? The secret is to look it up and then pretend you knew it all the time! I'm on "eat what's in the fridge and going out of date". Don't bother to look it up - it's chilli/rice and cheesecake followed by chocolate covered marzipan, salt & vinegar Ringos and Red Leicester mini chedders. The last three were in date but I'm a pig!

Well I think you've hit all the major food groups there; cheesecake, marzipan and mini cheddars

I'm too busy for google right now! I'm watching Big Brother for gods sake

Now I don't keep up with the modern ways of thinking, but 'high fat diet' seems like an oxymoron

Nah - "a high-fat diet" is where you throw a bar chocolate onto the top shelf so it's out of sight. Unfortunately, it's not out of mind so you expend energy climbing a step-ladder to retrieve it. Big Brother?! Are you the reason it's still going?

It's the last series I'll be sad to see it go. I know you'll be interested, so I'm now watching Big Brother's Bit On The Side with Rylan
