I've been glued to the TV/Twitter/MSM all day watching the UK Supreme Court / the Labour Party Conference and the UN Summit. I've done nothing and I'm bloody knackered...It'll be the death of me!

    Verdict:

    Supreme Court: (Spider) Lady Hale
    Labour Party Conference
UN Summit (the POTUS) (the delegates); Boris

Well, now the queen has said yes to an unlawful act. That must be a first for her...

Yeah - and had to warn the PM against using language to incite. I had to switch off - it was car crash TV. It reminded me of the "Hitler Rant" in Downfall. I honestly can't see the country ever coming together.

The Tory Party Conference (supposedly) begins on Sunday in Manchester - that should be fun.

Aww flow, that's the kindest thing to say, thank you

I shall post some pics when I get them home on Monday. They're middle aged cats, not kittens, but no one wants older cats and I felt sorry for them

Good on you Pricey, it's great when people will take on older pets.

What's currently on my mind is how fed up I am of the road works crew cutting through the phone lines and how I really should get a bigger/better phone because this teeny screen is barely usable for the Internet and is giving me a headache. Yeah I'm in a sulky place today.

When it first came out I got a Samsung 9 Plus purely because it's got a big screen. People comment on how big my phone is (though it's slim) but I say it's because I'm blind and I read a lot, so I need the biggest screen possible. There's probably a bigger screened phone available now, but I do love my 9+

I've got a really old phone, a Samsung from back when smart phones were just starting up and it was a 'mini' one too, so the screen really is tiny. It doesn't usually bother me as I don't use it much and I have my laptop that I have with me 24-7. But that does me no good when the phone line gets chopped up. I probably should look to update my phone but it's only times like this when it frustrates me and it's just another cost I could live without.

They aren't cheap, that's a fact. I dropped mine recently and to replace the screen was so expensive, I'm hanging on until next year when I can upgrade for free.

I'd suggest one of those hard glass coverings. You can get them for under $10 on Amazon. Example: https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Sli.../dp/B07W9KNMGM

In Canada it's a harvest festival, it comes earlier than the more known one in the states because we are in the north with an earlier frost. Typically it consists of a family dinner, turkey with all the trimmings. The statutory holiday is on the Monday but most of us do our dinner on the Sunday so we have a day off before heading back to work.

Happy Thanksgiving GoSpuffy! And all Canadians on the forum!

How do Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving? Is it Turkey and fireworks?

You've answered my question . . . but no fireworks? Of do they happen when all the family gather together?
