Stressful times at work so I'm deliberately trying to watch happy, light hearted shows to pick me up. I've been rewatching glee as it was something I watched with my kids when they were young. I knew it was coming but it's still so profoundly sad when Finn dies. RIP Corey Monteith.

I like who I am when Im with him. I like who we are together.

I couldn't get through the first season, but it was very sad when Corey Monteith died, far too young.

Corrected it for you. It's 22 here - cloudy with heavy bursts of rain.

    Well it's 92 (that's 33.33 C to most of you) with a 'real feel' of 112 (44.44 C) in oHIo right now!

    Wish y'all were here!

28 forecast here for Tuesday (that's in the north of England - possibly higher in the south but - meh - I don't care ). Humidity 91% to 54% - what does that even mean? Why can't they say "double up on anti-antiperspirant" or "expect to sweat like a pig"?

Over 90 again today but less humid. Was like 90% yesterday! Lemme see... Right now it's 96 with real feel of 116 (that's 35.56 C & 46.67 C for all you metric-ers out there ) Tomorrow's supposed to be 90 again, but thankfully the rest of the 10 day forecast is mostly 70s & 80s for highs.

Oh...that's bad - but the good news is, the highest recorded temperature in oHIo was 113 F (45 C) so you've got a way to go yet. Carry on doing the math - it looks cooler in Centigrade.

Ummm...haven't you got a rather large lake and several large rivers you can swim in?

Yeah we have a Great Lake (Erie) which is basically a mini ocean. Dunno if you'd really wanna swim on some of the rivers, tho.
Supposed to cool down tonite. Then not supposed to get over 85 the next 10 days! Yay!

Well technically, don't you have half a lake? Lake michigans yours but I believe the border runs through the rest of the Great Lakes.

@GoSpuffy: Why? Can't a slug have a preference for the better things in life? Leave two saucers of beer out - one a super-market own brand, the other a craft beer. In the morning, check which saucer has the most drowned slugs - then you'll know whether you have slugs with a refined palate. Regardless of whether you have common (or garden) slugs or hipster slugs, you can blame it on the US.

You could then drip the preferred beer over your weeds.

30 in Manchester today. 32 forecast for Thursday with 37 in London. As if Boris wasn't enough... I blame Metda for this debacle.

Actually really nice out here, now. Been mid/upper 70s for a high with a cool breeze.

The border stayed in the same place and we burnt down the White House. I'll take that as a win. Really a British victory but largely fought by those who became the first Canadians so we always consider it a Canadian victory.

But I've heard mixed reports about the quality and expense of Audiobooks. What do you think?
I often listen to audiobooks on the way to and back from work -- it's the only time I get around to "reading" anything that's not for work and that's not fanfic. I enjoy it but the experience really depends on the skills of the narrator. Not surprisingly, JM --to mention a non-random example-- is very good at it, especially for the Dresden Files. (I'd normally wholeheartedly recommend those, but I suspect they're not your cup of tea because the main character's views on women are on the cave-mannish side.) But I've also listened to audiobooks where the narration was incredibly dull, despite being done by a professional actor.

Audiobooks tend to be expensive but there are also sites where you can download them for free, like librivox.org. Those books are read by volunteers, so the quality of the reading varies a lot (but some of them are really good). Also it's limited to books that are in the public domain, so no modern literature that's still copyrighted.
