I've just found the following on one of my shelves at work: "Sweet Talk: The Secret History of Confectionery"; "Hungry for You: From Cannibalism to Seduction - A Book of Food"; "Food, Sex & God: On Inspiration and Writing" and "Consuming Culture". Ironically, they're all on the same shelf as Orbach's "Fat is a Feminist Issue".

If I thought I'd read these - or even read and remembered them - I'd claim greater wisdom but I can't - so I'll just say - with no supporting evidence - that a) you're wrong b) being bitter and horrid is so under-rated!

I've just realised there are Ready Meals in my fridge that might have a longer expiry date than some BtVS character. That's kinda sad...(the expiration. That Ready Meals are sad goes without saying).

New neighbors (as of yesterday). Apparently they have a dog. Think it needs xanax. It seems to bark at everything. Heard a gust of wind earlier. Swear to gawd even that set it off!

Aww poor dog, it can't help it. You should try making friends with him, he's probably nervous and lonely

Dogs just do that to show that they're defending their home. I live in an apartment on the 11th floor, and my dogs immediately start barking whenever they hear that someone is in front of the door, or even getting out of the elevator. And when someone enters, they keep barking at them as long as they stay there, unless they pet them or give them something to eat. Then when they stop petting them, they continue barking.

You can sometimes be callous and strange . . . poor dog! He's moved home too, he doesn't know what's happening, all the smells are different, his family probably don't have time for him because they're moving into a new house . . . he needs lots of fuss and treats Metda, and you could become his best friend if you provided them

Eliza Dushku has tied the knot!

On Sunday, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum, 37, shared the happy news that she married Peter Palandjian in August.

The Emmys once again prove, as so many times before, that they're a total joke. They had the one last chance to FINALLY recognize The Americans, one of the greatest TV dramas of all time, for its stellar last season. But instead, they had to suck up to GoT some more, because apparently, it has to win the main award for each one of its most disastrous seasons.

They did give the writing award and lead actor to The Americans, though. Apparently, Emmy voters think that The Americans and The Crown had the best writing, directing and/or acting, but GoT is "Outstanding Drama" for... reasons? Is it the CGI? The dragons? It's the dragons, right?

Or maybe they think that "Outstanding Drama" means something like "outstanding debt" - it's annoying and just won't go away?

But anyway, I've believed for years that most Emmy voters don't even watch the shows they're voting on.

Yes - it's the dragons. Did you need to ask?

I am loving the Captain Marvel trailer. Am I the only one who sees hints of Buffy?

I'm afraid this is the first Marvel trailer thats not blown me away. I love the score, very effective, but I'm afraid I'm not sure of the lead. We haven't seen enough of her in the role yet I know, but her emotionless face doesn't work for me.

Of course they don't. They watch an edited-together reel of "best" moments and vote on that. The voting is based on small instances. 1 script that is submitted, not overall seasons.

    And, of course, ratings.

When I woke up this morning, I immediately went on this forum to get the latest news about issue 4 and left it to my husband to make breakfast for our six year old and get him to school. I told him, I don`t have time for this today because it`s the final day of 12 seasons and twentyone years of Buffy. He asked me"What are you going to do with all your free time from now on?" And after a moment "How about another baby?".
