    Default X Files Season 11

Finally watched episode 1 of the new season. I don't know how I feel about the big reveal, bit of a shocker. Wonder what sort of monster they've created

What someone wrote on Wikipedia under "Reception" for this episode (it has since been removed, of course) sums it up pretty well.

You keep waiting for the dust to settle and then you realize it; the dust is your life going on. If happy comes along - that weird unbearable delight that's actual happy - I think you have to grab it while you can. You take what you can get, 'cause it's here, and then...gone.

Just watched episode two and I really enjoyed it. Thought it was creepy and weird in a perfect way. Great to see Langley again, and references to previous seasons are always great for the fans.

Yeah, this episode was much better (not that this was a hard task, considering how awful the opener was). It was actually fun and enjoyable. Probably because it was written by Glen Morgan, rather than Chris Carter. Last season was the same, all the episodes that were any good were by writers other than Carter.

I enjoyed episode three, it also felt like an old-style X Files. I liked that they discussed age and mortality, I felt they need to as they are older and it seems silly to ignore the fact.

Did not like Ep. 1. Was OK with Ep. 2. LOVED Ep. 3. I don't ever choose to rewatch X-file episodes, but I'm going to watch Ep. 3 many, many times.

Episode 4 The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat is one of the most beguiling episodes of tv I have seen in a very long time. Darin Morgan deserves all the awards for writing something so perfect. It was whimsical and erudite and just beautiful in it's foolishness. I loved it.

I thought it wasn't bad, but felt this time round they were over egging it.

I think I prefer 'Mulder and Scully meet the were were-monster' by the same writer, which was also very humorous and self deprecating but to me didn't feel so heavy handed.

Still the best episode this season though.

Oh no, I thought it was near-on perfect. I need to watch it again, and my view might change, but I thought it had an old fashioned feel about it that I liked, very much an homage to The Twilight Zone. It was magical realism meets satire and I thought it worked brilliantly.

Finally caught up with episode 6, Kitten, which was okay but not one of my favourites. I like Skinner and it's nice to see some of his back story, but it wasn't particularly interesting or enlightening. I did think Haley Joel Osment was really good and the best thing in the episode, he played his character just the right side of weird.

The most recent episode (Rm9sbG93ZXJz) was really weird.

I think that this season's been much better than last season. I think the 3rd, 4th & 5th episodes were quite good.

I think compared to some of the earlier seasons It's not that great. Some of the story ideas are very ho hum, but after all this time I think writers fatigue has set in.

By the looks of things this season is definitely going to be the last.

I don't think that that really is an issue seeing as how there was a 14 year gap between seasons 9 & 10.

Well then they've just lost the plot yet again as that started to happen towards the end the original run sadly.

Well episode 8 was distinctly average. It's something we've seen before so many times, it must be a trope by now; childrens tv characters coming to life and harming children. It was actually quite dull and if it was attempting to scare, it failed.

Aww I rather liked it. Yes the story was ho hum, but I loved the design of this creepy bugger.
