Enoch and Fitz's escapades have a Blade Runner feel about them, and are enjoyable. It was a nice twist to have Enoch lose at gambling, instead of always winning as a robot might have been expected to do. Also enjoyed 'the brothel' was not an option and the 'robot' didn't understand why that was. It was odd later that he wasn't comfortable with this level of intimacy when Fitz rebooted him. Maybe the Kitson brothels aren't about sex, or maybe he doesn't see sex, 'sensual gratification' and intimacy as the same thing.

I liked Jemma whipping out her mobi to show the alien customs officer a pic of Fitz. They're travelling through space, they are future-themed, and she's still got her Samsung handy, with pics of hubby on.

Now I get a friends banner! Jemma and Skye hi was fantastic and it gave them an opportunity, for a few minutes, not to be constantly talking about Fitz. I would not have laid on that club floor though, god knows what's on that carpet.

That guy in the casino bugged me, his voice seemed so familiar - was he in Buffy/Angel? OMG he's the guy at the Palace who asks Buffy if she'd like to look inside his ears! It's his voice. Just looked him up, his name is Douglas Bennett and the character on Buffy was called Philip.

    - - - Updated - - -

Ep 4 - DEKE! He's become a gaming billionaire, with his mushroom pellets and his looks straight down the lens Sequioa's insta at the end was brilliant.

I had to google boba teas, which are actually bubble teas. They may contain tapioca, and that alone puts me right off.

Wow, you really know all the minor characters from BtVS?! I can't even remember what you're talking about, LOL.

I didn't get any Blade Runner vibes. Just Guardians of the Galaxy/Star Wars (original 1977 movie) from the storylines in space. And this episode was also obviously inspired by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but I've never seen it, I just have a general idea what it is.

The stuff on the ground has so far been much darker.

So, what's up with NotCoulson? Multiverse shenanigans? Weird temporal anomalies? Doppelgangers? Why did he seem to be repeating the same lines Coulson once said? May's scenes in 6x05 were really strong. SciFi shows really love that "character having to deal with facing a villain who looks exactly like their dead loved one" trope (see also: some of the latest episodes of season 6 of The 100), and it works really well. What an emotionally difficult situation.
You keep waiting for the dust to settle and then you realize it; the dust is your life going on. If happy comes along - that weird unbearable delight that's actual happy - I think you have to grab it while you can. You take what you can get, 'cause it's here, and then...gone.

I only remember this guy because he's got a very distinctive voice and it must have stayed with me.

Yes there was a very Star Wars-y vibe about it too. I thought all the Neon and signage was very Blade Runner, while the casino was meant to be the canteen in Star Wars. I did get Fear and Loathing too, but I've never seen the full film either, just snippets. It was an homage of an episode.

So, what's up with NotCoulson? Multiverse shenanigans? Weird temporal anomalies? Doppelgangers? Why did he seem to be repeating the same lines Coulson once said? I don't know! I'm thinking alternative universes, but it's weird that the name Coulson rings a bell with him, that he says some of the same lines, that he's a very similar personality type. He's essentially Coulson. I have enjoyed May's reaction to him, as she's usually so professional and emotionally cut-off.

I am enjoying this season a lot, and can't wait to see where it goes. I didn't mention it in the review, but Keller being taken over and having to be killed was really strong too.

Inescapable was decent. Enjoyed the flashbacks though Simmons demon dark side was a bit random. Though even the worst parts of them are attracted to each other.

    Badass Enoch!

So the Shrike and Sarge were on the Chrichom planet first...

I liked Fitz's reactions to all the big revelations he missed.

Still, the Earth storyline is way more interesting.

You can kinda tell they had to do a complete revamp after S5, maybe that's why it feels disjointed in parts.

I thought this was a fun episode.

Liked how they handled all the reveals to Fitz.My favorite though was Fitz learning he had a grandson at the end of the episode.lol

Can't wait to see if he gets to re-meet Deke at some point.

I assume the earth and space stories will converge by the end of the season.I think they started setting that up with the Chrichom planet

being visted by Sarge and his crew.

Quite possibly the best episode of the last 3 seasons! Young Jemma arguing with Fitz was a definite highlight!

Ep 5 The Other Thing - it definitely feels like there are two separate stories going on here and I'll be happy when the team can be reunited. It's all very romantic with Mack/Yoyo, (Keller/Yoyo) May/Coulson and Fitz/Simmons. I enjoy at least two of those relationships, but it's all getting a little too turgid for me. I like May/Coulsen, but the flashbacks just felt unnecessary. 'He was your dream, I'm your nightmare' was too much.

I am still loving these Shrike parasites. They are exciting to watch and I like that they are aligned to the monoliths and I'm looking forward to seeing who their creator is. Is if Fitz? Simmons? Daisy? The Chronicoms?

Some lovely double entendre Chronicom speak was fun. Enoch is just too good.

    Yer an odd duck!
Any theories on WTF happened to Son of Coul? I'm thinking that Thanos' snap & reversal had something to do with it...

Ok I thought that was because Thor was Scandi/Norse and that's what Coulson means to a Scandi person . . . son of Coul.

If your name was Mattison, they'd think you were son of Matti . . . it's just how their language works. I didn't realise it meant anything else.

But Thor and Sif are not Norse. They are Asgardian.

Ahhh, of course . . . but maybe their language has developed alongside the Norsemen and so have picked up the same tricks?

    Toldja was very good.

Fitz's scream at the guillotine ha.

If this is the last of Enoch, I'll miss him. Though I winder if they'll call him for info on how the Shrike destroyed his planet if it was in fact them.

A couple nice character moments with Mack, Deke, Daisy and Agent Khan came back too.

Jaco breathes fire?! So he's a dragon alien?

No gathering the Shrike together. Wonder how they'll avoid that if there's supposed to be a battle later on.

    Izel's "artifact" the Shrike?
    Spoiler:
Oh nope, next week's promo shows she's after monoliths

I'm going on vacation so I'll miss next week's episode so will double post later.

Ep 6 - Inescapable - Fitz and Simmons sharing their minds was great, little Jemma was adorable.

The Box Monster was fantastic and actually scary.

Why does Fitz support Manchester United?

(And does anyone else think they were quite Spuffy-ish? . . . Just me then)

I knew Enoch would come through at the end, he is officially my favourite.

Saw Collision Course Part 1 in part thanks to YouTube when my recording crashed.

I go from liking Deke to being disappointed over Snowbunny to liking him again over "A truck we can't stop, with a bomb we can't find, a girl who can't quake and I gave up 10% of my company just for the experience!"

Go Elena, being able to shove Jaco back. Shame it didn't matter though.

So Izel destroyed the Chrochom homeworld all for monoliths. Not really feeling her as a villain yet though. Talbot, Hales, Kiassus, Aida and maybe even Eli were more impactful/interesting for me.

Lol at Fitz being jealous of and having to top his own wedding night performance. Feel a bit bad for the space thieves being hosts though.

I'm too familiar with TV to know Mack will get around the choice rather then lose anybody on the main team.

Most exciting thing to me is the aggressive Chrichoms can do a reverse Framework on Fitz and Simmons.

Ep 7 - Toldja - Felt sorry for Deke being left out of the loop and getting nowhere with Daisy. Sad to say goodbye to Enoch, hope we see him again.

I enjoyed Sarge coming face to face with Coulson. He's intrigued, you can tell. They have the same DNA and talks a lot like Coulson.

The Guillotine game was fun, especially those terrible metal baskets the prop department thought would add something, though I know not what, to the scene.

What a piece of luck that Izel wants to go to Earth. Is she 'the maker' of the shrikes Sarge mentioned? Why don't Fitz or Simmons seem in the least bit worried about what Izel wants to do on Earth?

Basic error putting both shrikes in the same cell when you don't understand what they are. It was a stupid thing to do, and sending the soldier in there to shoot them was the dumbest thing ever. I'm putting this down to bad writing because I don't believe the team would do this, not with all their experience.

The lack of curiosity by Fitz and Simmons and the stupidity of Yoyo and May annoyed me about this episode. I think it was the worst of the season by far.

I think Fitz and Simmons are just desperate to go home and not be fugitives anymore. And I think the team only had 1 containment cell.

I think the one containment cell was part of the issue, when they knew they were picking up two shrikes. It just seemed really bad agent-ing. A police officer wouldn't put two suspects in the same cell before questioning them, and I expect better from SHIELD agents

Izel turning up at the perfect time, needing Fitz and Simmons help to get back to Earth, was pretty convenient, although I agree Fitz and Simmons were desperate to get home. Though once again, as agents of SHIELD I just thought they'd ask more questions before joining Izel's crew

    Collision Course Part 2

Whoa what and ending! Though the promo from next week sheds more onto it.

    "You smell nice." Oh Fitz.

I actually felt a little bad for Jaco; not Pax though.

So I guess Izel got away on the Quinjet?

Bobo lol. I was wondering earlier in the season if they were talking about Daisy being unlucky in love to pursue the Deke thing, I guess not this season.

Speaking of, so Daisy had disintegration vibration powers now?

    Nice little Tolja comeback.

So...sounds like Sarge and the rest got implanted with a bunch of fake memories but why would Izel create a team that just wants to hunt her?

So Izel started the destruction on the Chrochom planet but Sarge made it worse from the sounds of it.
