You'd like to pour tadpoles onto Willow?
For shame
And after saying she's not sexy!
You don't like her much do you?
I actually like Willow, especially in seasons 1-4.
And she is actually quite pretty. I also like Tara, but cant say the same for her
Tara is sort of like Willow in s1 2 and 3
but cant say the same for her
her beauty is quite subtle.

Hey Everyone.
Lo Basak.
Does anyone have a sport only played in their country. We have aussie rules.
In Ireland they have Gaelic Football (sort of a cross between rugby, soccer, and WWF wrestling) and Hurling (like field hockey, only cooler, faster, and more violent. And with soccer/rugby goals).
However I'm not living in Ireland anymore so I'm not sure that counts as an answer to your question...

Hey Basak a question. Over in Turkey are you on the asian side or the European side? and also when you watch buffy do you watch it in Turkish, English or both? Because you should see it in english definately.
basakbangel
19-06-08, 05:54 PM
Hey Revan!
I of course watch it in English. The channel televises in English with Turkish subtitles. As a mather of fact; It'd be unappealing to watch it in Turkish without hearing their real voices. Right?
I had lived in the european side for 15 years(from my birth till this time) but we moved out 6 months ago and started to live in the asian side. But my school is in the european side so, like nearly everybody here I also across the bridge like everyday:)

Basak
Not hearing their exact voices is why I thought you should watch in english.
I don't know if you have experienced anything else but what's it like living in parts of both regions. In general not as in the diff between euro and asian side. Because that's pretty unique living in 2 different continents. Like in australia we are a melting pot for example where I go to school we have people from every ethnicity. 58% supposedly not from a english speaking background.
basakbangel
20-06-08, 05:01 PM
Revan,
Yeah of course that's not the only reason of watching it in English.
It's different and unique as you said. Every place has its own atmosphere. Istanbul is a high-populated city *well more than necessary:lol:*(13 million people live here.) and when the "different continents" factor adds up, It's pretty a mixture of the cultures of Asia and Europe. but It's cool and different to see them together; how they can suit and and how they can be different from eachother at the same time. Also, you figure that there are different lives in the 2 continents but It's really interesting that both places are in harmony in a way. The reason why is that, people just can't live being bound to just one side; think of someone residents in the asian side but they have to go to the european side for work. or maybe someone residents in the europe side but they have to go to the asian side for school for example. Things always work like this, so there is always rush, crowd and energy. I don't know if I was clear enough to explain it though.

I'm going to become a Register Nurse. I don't think there is a difference really between the two. Both are options you have after the required school years. Other countries just call them different things I guess. :p Although here in the U.S the colleges called University's are usually State schools, they're run by the state and can get funding from the state and most of the time have the states name in them. (ie; University of Minnesota, University of Florida etc.) University's can however be private schools as well but most are state run. :o
I am lost! Should I?

Sometimes i hate my lover.. but i always love him.. because hes my lover.
Also, i don't understand reputation points. When do you give them, when dont you.. how to go about receiving them.. i dont get it.
Has anyone else noticed that many of the supposed fun things in life are actually not really fun?
But you don't really hate him do you? You just dislike or disagree with him. You know you love him. :xd
I have no Idea if I put my foot in my mouth on these topics. So be gentle
Also, i don't understand reputation points. When do you give them, when dont you.. how to go about receiving them.. i dont get it.
You can give rep points whenever you want to, you can also take them away.
If you see a post of somebody's you really like or agree with then you can give them rep points then, for example, say you really like somebody signature or avatar or both then you can give them points then, even if it has nothing to do with the thread.
And you can take them away if you don't like or disagree with something.
You receive them when people like or dislike something you've posted or done.
holypotatoes
10-08-08, 04:40 PM
And you can take them away if you don't like or disagree with something.
Well just because you disagree with something doesn't necessarily mean you should down rep them. People have the right to have their own opinions on the topics here but if someone is being hateful about other people (whether as a general group or specific person on the board) then you can downrep them. The thing about downrepping is that the mods actually look to see why you downrep'd someone. If they don't think it was necessary then they'll give back those points.

When I had a big group chat, I became God. And I made up my own ten commandments. But it ended up being the Twelve Commandments. Enjoy! Most of them were private jokes...
Hey, I was Oz!!!
1. Thou must not use moi name in vain. I know its sexy, but it's illegal.
2. Thou must love thy neighbour. If not, love me.
3. Thou must not murder. Unless its REALLY important.
4. Thou must jump off the Tyne Bridge if thou is a geordie. ( )
5. Thou must not mock me. I get angry easy. And looketh at Commandment #3.
6. Thou must worship thy Lord. Just because I say so.
7. If thou are not Ewan, Johnny, or Jensen, I haveth no interest.
8. Thou must love me and respecteth me. Thou does not want to get on the wrong side of an almighty woman. With the power to do Commandment #3
9. Thou must not make up Commandments of thy own. That is what we call, Treason. And thou shalt suffer the consequences of Commandment #3
10. Thou must give Thy lord presents. And in return, thy shalt blow. ( Private Joke)
11. Thou shalt not refer to men as 'Heaven on Legs' It's 'Sex on Legs'
12. Thou shalt speak to us, if thy name is either Enzo or Amy. Not to do so is counted as treason, and thy shalt suffer Commandment #3 (Private Joke #2) :D

Bad move Sherbatsky.
I agree by the above. Pity the queen is Ari so she is the lord.
What's with 4? Leave the Geordies alone!
7. Jenson? who's Jenson? and I thought there would be a James. Don't tell me you would deny Spike.
And as for 11. I really think the women should be refered to as the *insert witty yet tasteful remark here.* Yeah how's that. Aren't I inventive :)

Okay since I posted this in the VIP section I thought I'd share with the rest of the forum as well. :D Just follow the steps and don't look under the spoiler until you've completed all of the steps.
Try to take this test mentally.
Dont write anything down .
1) Pick a number from 2-9.It can be 2, 9 or anything in between.
2) Take that number, and multiply it by 9.
3) That should give you a two digit number. Take those two digits and add them together.
4) Take the resulting number and subtract 5 from it.
5) Take that number and correspond it to the alphabet, numbering the letters A=1,B=2,C=3 and so on…
6) Take your letter, and think of a country that begins with that letter.
7) Take the last letter in the name of that country, and think of an animal that starts with this letter.
Now, take the last letter in the name of that animal, and think of a color that starts with this letter.
Note : There are no Orange Kangaroos in Denmark ….

For the purposes of being random: Do novels labeled 'young adult' transcend the age barrier? Because many a time have I found myself reading fiction with 'for ages 12 and up' stamped on the back cover. Quite frankly, it's usually more interesting than other literature. Or perhaps I haven't been properly introduced to the world of 'adult fiction'...I'll have to get on that.
