I would have to say Buffy's home. Its been in the series since the first season. Also so many thing has happened in the Summer's house. Also I love the 7th season and the house wa the main base ground for the Scoobies and the Potentials. The house is also a character it self, it also reflects on Buffy's home life.

I agree with all of the above. Buffy's house had been destroyed so many times and rebuilt so many times on the inside that it had been made fun of throughout the series. It is its' own character for that reason! It has been the only thing that's always remained the same in Buffy's life no matter how screwed up it got. Even after all the furniture/doorways/stairs etc. had been replaced, it still looked the same. Plus, it's command central. Can't forget that. :D

Tough, man! I was just thinking the other week when I was watching some season four ow much I love Giles' house and how little we see of it outside that season. I quite like the place. But overall I think the Magic Box had terrific scope, color and space so I wet with that. It was an excellent addition to seasons 5 and 6. :)

I can't vote! The sets on this show were amazingly crafted and did a great deal to advance the theme.
The initiative comes to mind, with its coldness, ruthlessness, huge size, secrecy, hidden agendas,
and paranoia. The bright surfaces, cells with force field barriers, and experimental (torture) areas served to underline this government entity as impersonal and totally devoid of moral compass.
One set that isn't in the poll is Spike's crypt, which mirrors his character development quite nicely. At first it's obviously dirty, cobwebbed, and littered with human remains in stone coffins. As his love of Buffy grows, the crypt becomes more and more like a human habitation, with comfortable furniture, a tv, a refrigerator, rugs.
I'll think more about this topic-----actually there wasn't a set on Buffy that I didn't love. Oh, Angel's mansion with upper-class taste in furniture, as well as art and books was beautiful and reflected his character. The vampire factory in The Wish was amazing and truly horrifying.

yes.. I'm sorry about Spike's Cyrpt. and also master's place..:p While I was doing I thought there were some things missing, maybe It's because the idea wasn't really new that I've done that poll before..thanks again for the warning. (guys If you wanted to vote what I forgot, then you can vote for "other".)
I'd say Sunnydale High. and there are lots of reason why I love that place so much. Firstly I love the first 3 seasons as one of my favourites. Secondly library, classes etc., seeing those makes me happy, reminding me of the early seasons and my past. But to mention; as you said every Buffy set is awesome!!

Yes, Buffy's home is also different and perfect. As you said a LOT of things happend and maybe It's the place that nearly everybody entered:p. Guess It's the only place that had been used all through the series isn't it?

Giles' home, It was fun.. It makes me remember Pangs:) and I love the fact that it's a crossover. It's like it's a silent and relaxing place with the garden.

Fun thread ;) I liked many of them, but had to vote Bronze, since it's where there's the dancing! Plus, I like that it's used in all of the seasons, whereas UC Sunnydale and the high school had limited shelf lives. I did love the library though...

I'm going to go with Sunnydale High because I'm assuming this also includes the library. I loved the library, I think it is the set most people associate with Buffy and I think it was the best looking set and the most homey of them all.
I personally hated Giles' apartment as a main set during s4. As a everyone once in a while set I didn't mind it, but actually thought it was a very ugly dull and boring set in comparison to the library, Magic Box or even Buffy's home. :D

Yes It wasn't easy for me to choose too. But I did choose Sunnydale High because of many reasons like It was the set of first 3 seasons and etc. The Bronze is fun and energetic place. The place that; people dance, talk and It worth watching.

Yes, sunnydale high!! Firstly I'd write library for a different option b/c I was important and very much sety set:p. Personally I don't like Magic Box that much b/c I thought It was replacement for library; I don't say I hate but though that place didn't impress me that much. Maybe It's because "magic", I personally love the nerd, "study-hard" Willow. That was when they were high school student..

I had to go with other...cause what about Spike's ever-changing crypt. I mean first of all-how convenient was that place-multiple floors, electricity, and sewer access! But mostly I like how it went from containing nothing but a sarcophagus in mid season 5 (Crush) to fully furnished by the end of season 5 (When Buffy leaves Joyce and Dawn there) and then seemed oddly empty again for Once More with Feeling. Also special points for the random skulls, the mad quantities of candles, and the overlapping rugs. (Mostly cause the idea of Spike collecting said furnishings amuses me.) Finally-most of my favorite scenes: Spuffyness and other (gotta love Spike telling Dawn monster stories about himself) happen there. So there it is: one write in for Spike's crypt.

I voted for Angel's mansion, because it's so beautiful with its light and the flowers. Also, now that it's been called to my attention, I agree that Spike's crypt was where most of the best action was.

Sorry for not writing Spike's Cyrpt, but there's "other" part fortunetly:p. Sometimes Spike's Cyrpt impresses me in a way that I don't understand, different.. I love the Spike character, he is funny and that place is fun. But still not my favourite.

Angel's mansion is really full of solitude and relaxing especially in season 3. Maybe it's a dark place but still It makes feel better:)

I can hardly decide..every set actually, I voted for Buffy's home, but I actually love Willow's room in 3rd season, whats more Spike's crypt is great too! I voted for Summers' home because I like seeing buffy escaping from the roof + in 1x07Angel, Angel stayed there but Buff's mother didnt see him and thats a thing I can never do,I live in an apartment and mum would definetely see him, plus sometimes Angel climbsup the roof which I always wanted to do. In conlusion her room is so private for her and I love that, and it's escape-able=)

Good point there Selen; I love Angel(1x07) but never thought of the episode's adventures to love the set but cool, that episode reminds me happy times:)

The Bronze sort of became symbolic in early episodes. So yeah, that gets my vote. That's also where several major events took place.

I had always wished that in Chosen when the town is crumbling we saw a shot of Buffy's house and the Bronze come crashing down, they were both so symbolic of the show and it is a pity we didn't get to see them one last time.

1) angel's apartment. it's sparse and bleak, but there's something about the dingy gray walls, the red bed cover, the old fridge, all the antiques and pictures on the wall. i always missed it when they moved to the mansion. i just love how the red bed cover is about the only color in the room.
imo, is it sad that of all the great sets, that's the one that would feel the most homey?
2) the factory. metal spiral staircase. industrial meets gothic. again, a lot of black, gray and red.
3) the master's lair. stalagmites and stalactites. pool of blood. dripping water. old gothic church elements.
4) the sunnydale high library. you can smell the musty demonology books. plus, there's a cage. the room is old and woody. i also love the bell tower. what an amazing looking high school.
5) downtown sunnydale. the sun cinema sign. the dark alleys. the clock tower.
6) the bronze. especially that chair that darla sat in and the balcony. hated that they changed the sign. liked the place most in the early seasons when it kind of seemed dingy. there was less lighting in the bronze early on. but the hanging chair was the best part. it was also awesome in the wishverse with the cage.
7) the mansion. hate the outside of the building, but the garden was great. lots of ivy. it got a bit more character when the door was boarded up and angel always had a fire going. the chains on the wall improved it a bunch.
8) spike's mausoleum and restfield cemetery. very gothic, yet has a tv and an armchair. the sarcophagus is even occupied by a skeleton. all the mausoleums looked great, though.
9) buffy's home. it's just so typical middle-class california--there's no set designer artistic statement about it. it looks like it could be lived in. i love the gable, roof and porch.
10) the playground with the wind blowing the swing set and the creepified spinning thing (loved that shot in lie to me).
and on ats, there was the hyperion hotel. love the pouf in the lobby and the use of reds, greens, purples and parchment color. the coolest thing that probably ever happened in that lobby was angel getting hung. billy made great use of all the narrow hotel corridors. and of course, the big metal cage in the basement. angel's first apartment (specifically the basement) was also awesome with the elevator and sewer access. very similar to angel's first apartment.
also, shout outs to all the graveyards, alleys and sewers. i also loved all the historical sets. marseilles, galway, london, the roman sewer, china meets mexican village set, and holtz's home stand out.

My favorite was The summers house cuz it was the site of so many important scenes and events
I chose Angel's Mansion; why? Because it's gorgeous. Even if I wasn't a Bangel shipper, I think I would still pick that set just because of how beautiful it was. It had such an "Angelness" to it that you couldn't help, but love it. Unless you hate him, that is ;)
I chose the magic box; I allways liked it. Well, first it has magical stuff.. My choice may also get my votce cause I'm watching season 5 atm.

I voted for Buffy's home. I just love it there...it feels like home to everyone. Joyce did a really good job of turning this house into a home and making everyone feel comfortable. Then, after Joyce dies, everyone still either lives there or spends most of their time there.

I voted for Magic Box. When I first saw magic box, I liked the place a lot. I don't know the main reason but I like the place so much... Maybe the magical things are sold in that place so that's why I'm interested in it. Also, I should add that when I think of Magic Box, Anya comes to my mind so it may be one of the reasons as well. B/c Anya is one of my favourite character because of her reactions, money love, etc.=)

Yes, it would have been very nice if they were really sold:D . I mean that would have been great, Id have felt in the set of Buffy. What about the name "MagicBox2"
