The TARDIS warped into view. Martha rushed down the path from her house in a flurry of excitement. She hadn’t seen the Doctor in…wait, there was writing on the outside of the blue box. Some isolated words, then, at the bottom: “These are the people who die in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”
The Doctor popped his head around the door, pointing at the names. “In case you needed a hand getting over me… reminder of what a bastard I can be.”
Martha sighed. In all his years travelling with humans…he really hadn’t learned the first thing about women.
