Season: Two, the Bangel through the first half is great. Then the story line with Angelus was amazing, leading to Spike and Buffy to team up, seeing how Joyce reacted to Buffy's being the slayer(not a great reaction but what'd we expect) were all highlights of the series.

Episode: Once More With Felling(interesting how it's my favorite considering the start of Spuffy at the end) I just loved the songs, loved that the scoobies finally found out that Buffy was in Heaven
(so like Buffy, that it would take a demon who made them sing the truth for her to tell her freind. She doesn't like to hurt them.)

Character: Buffy, she has been through so much and survived. She still cares about her friends, who are more like family.

Season: 6 - definitely love the darkness, the magic and trial of life as adults.
Episode: The Gift - it has so much and always gets me teary.
Character: This changes.. at the moment it's Willow, I think she has the most development through the series and I adore all seasons Willow :D

Season: Without a doubt, I'd pick season 6. I love the darkness and major character development in the season. Plus, it still has a lot of great Buffy humor in it to keep things balanced.

Episode: Now that's a toughie... I think I'd have to go with Once More With Feeling though. I'm amazed with the amount of work Joss and the whole cast/crew put into the episode. The episode dealt with so much but at the same time it was just so fun! I could watch it over and over again.

Character: Willow, it's pretty much always been her. Like Nikki said, she's developed so much over the series. She's just so adorable, funny and overall, I just find her very interesting.

Okaaaay...Let's see if I can do that one answer thingy :p

Season: Usually, it's season 2. I love all the Spike and Dru stuff. I love those two together. Not huge on all the Bangel stuff, even though it was a huge part of the season.

Episode: Now this one ALWAYS changes :lol: But right now, I'll say Selfless. It's Anya-centric! And I just really enjoyed it. It made me laugh, it made me cry.

Character: Anya! No Drusilla! Just kidding, just kidding...I know I can only pick one. :lol: It's Anya (though Dru is always a close second). I loved her when she first appeared and then they kept bringing her back! She can be hilarious, extremely useful, childlike (in a good way)...in my eyes, she can do pretty much anything! And she's the only main character I never disliked at any point.

Oh boy. Difficult...
Season: 5 - epic. You can't get any more human than this. I love Buffy's character development here as she's told she's meant to be alone, having to kill the ones she loves to save the world - and then finally taking that whole prophetic tradition and smashing it to bits (which was one of the mission statements of the show: defying genres, defying trite storylines of the lonely hero...). Dawn was great as well as pretty realistic, although she sometimes acted younger than would be plausible. Willow also had decent character development but Xander didn't - one of the few flaws of the season.
Episode: The Gift. Easy choice as I haven't watched Chosen :lol: and as I've said many times in other threads, we get magnificent closure to a few arcs (Glory, the Key, Buffy's identity crisis, insane!Tara) and open others (Xander and Anya's upcoming marriage, Giles' dark side). The ending breaks me apart, every time, which is why I seldom watch it.
Character: Buffy, although Willow and Xander are very close at second and third respectively. Buffy was a hero and a Slayer, but no matter how many times we heard that, she was above all human. She had flaws, she grew up, she dealt with real-life issues - and kept on fighting. Willow and Xander epitomize these traits as well, and I wish we'd got to see more of these three.

Season: Ooh hard - 2, no 5, no 6, ok 2. Loads of things about all these seasons that I love but in the end season 2 with Spike and Dru first coming to Sunnydale and Angelus popping up so unexpectedly has clinched it.

Episode: Becoming Part 2. Buffy's life changed irrevocable due to events in this episode (like how she could never really love like that afterwards) and it is just so powerful, upsetting, moving, funny, action packed - well you name it, it's got it.

Character: Willow. I loved GeekWillow, CoolWillow, AddictedWillow, DarkWillow and everything in between. Her character changed and grew and even when you thought she'd done changing, she'd surprise you again.

"Best of" Polls have been thrown around from different sites since 2004 and they haven't really resolved anything. And since not all Buffy fans really go to the same forums, it's very unlikely we'll ever get an accurate statistic. The only reliable "Best of" Buffy poll we have are the best of DVDs and Buffy mag's top fifty, and though official and the most comprehensive, is outdated.

I think by 'best of polls' the member meant that it has the best of everything. Usually we'll have one poll asking who everyone had as their fave character, another on their favourite episode or season. This poll incorporates all of this, which is probably why the member felt to give it such a name :) I'm not sure it was ever designed to be statistically accurate, some have already mentioned "at this time" implying that their opinions are likely to change. :D

Speaking for myself, this is entirley a moment thing because my favourite season and episode changes on a regular basis, the only thing consistant is my favourite character.

Fave Season: At the moment season three. The characters were so wonderfully quirky during this season, the writing was as witty and powerful as it ever was and IMO was the best out of all seven seasons. It had steller episodes and I can't think of one I don't like and you could feel the energy in the show, it was Btvs at its prime.

Fave Episode: Currently, it is The Gift. This episode just has so much, the wonderful and exciting starting, Buffy's ultimate sacrifice, the exciting confrontation with Glory, a wedding proposal, a sign of Willow's true potential, Giles killing Ben and even a Spuffyish moment I didn't hate ;) Buffy shined in this episode, she was amazing.

Fave character: The only consistent answer I have in this post, it has to be Buffy. I sympathise with her character the most, she's been through so much but pulled through and the things she did for her friends and the things she had to go through made her an unbelieveable character.

Wow wow...I don't want to do any statistics or conclusions, I didn't do that poll to say "Okay, the best season is season 6 and the best episode is OMWF" I just wanted everyone's opinion, because it's interesting to have different prospects, that's all...

Ok, here are mine (though most of you probably already know, LOL):

Season: 4 - Not easy to decide though... I like a lot seasons 2 and 5 too.

Episode: Hush - Not easy either... BtVS ahas so many great episodes. I guess this is mainly due to the fact that I'm a Ruffy shipper and this is Buffy/Riley's greates ep, IMO...

Character: Buffy!!! This is the ONLY easy choice :D

Episode: Tabula Rasa (and if this were the Angel version it would be Spin the Bottle. Those two episodes are just awesome. If I had to choose between the two I wouldn't know what to do, I think my brain would combust!)
Character: Eep! 1? Seriously? Probably Faith... oh I don't know! Cordy, and Anya are close seconds... I loved Cordy in BtVS she rocked, and Anya totally filled that hole after she left, they were both really great throughout the series. But Faith always has that spot in my heart, she just rocked. :P

Season: 2
Episode: Innocence, this episode is my favourite because it's the first episode of Buffy I had seen on tv, so it's very close to my heart.

Ultimate Season: Season two is the ultimate season for me. I can watch the episodes a million times and never get tired of them. It has all the great moments: sex, death, loss,fighting. I love watching Buffy and Angelus fight, so season two is definitely my pick.
Ultimate Episode: The ultimate episode for me is the Gift. I know its not ranked high up there for some people, but the death of Buffy...come on...it has to be the ultimate. Who would have ever though that Joss would actually kill her? Plus the shots right after, well that just sums it all up. Only Joss could pull of that kind of emotion.
Ultimate Character: Buffy Anne Summers. Hands down she is the ultimate character. Like it was said in the beginning. Buffy is about showing that the pretty little blonde chick does not always have to die (which is odd, cause SMG plays in quite a few movies where she dies). Buffy kicked butt and showed the world that she just wasn't another stupid blonde.

Episode: Restless because it's different and weird and wonderfully surreal. Getting into everyone's head for a little bit is awesome. Plus it has wonderful music and imagery (such as the fight scene with Buffy and the first slayer).

Best season: Season five had good stand alone episodes, great arc, and interesting relationships. Long live Glory:) !!!!

Best episode: "Once More With Feeling" was a beautiful, dark musical that at one time I watched over and over again.

Best character: Spike is the best. He had so much depth, such versatility in fanfic and essays, and you can pair him with practically anyone :lol: . Fantastic :hf2: .
