EVERY SECOND

This will serve as Inspirations for a fic I'm planning to write... here is a little Intro.

Somewhere high in the desert, beside a curtain of blue and past the exits to freeways that twist like knots on the gut is a place who offers a disturbingly gentle company as it tells its story with hollowness that haunts you with brightly lit streets and dirty boulevards. Its Where the burning decay of nameless corpses who littler the crimson streets severs as the red carpet to hell. Its a condemned land who has yet to elect an individual to blame for its downfall and so instead it damns every lost soul that wonders into its cobwebs.

The naive will call it Los Angeles-Home to heavens Lost Angels. But the Angels call it L.A-the Devil's whore house.

And the foolish individual who dares to take a drive there to breath the air of ashes is merely in need of place to go, a home. Its always someone who needs to beg, steal or borrow. Although sometimes they are looking for the runaways of whom they lost among the withering palm trees and spilling blood. Because in LA its the mortals who creep out from alleyways and hide in the dark corners like frightened vermin, since this beautifully dark city is the new nesting ground for demons, vampires and all other creature of darkness.

Although, Its sweet and bitter taste serves as ditch of iniquity and tears, its where the strongest of champions are made to crouch in all fours. Its A place where you'll hear forsaken lives whimper in the breeze and watch shotgun roundabouts bend in the haze. Its where the relentless sun holds no regrets and the bleak stars fall from the sky while the Angels are driven insane and palm tress are candles in the wind. But this sinfully beautiful city is more than a crumbling concrete nightmare. It’s a City where the billboards keep on warning you; if you don't keep moving, you'll get stuck in this place where nobody gets out alive.

Los Angeles, eh?

Oh how I love this town. Every last single stinkin' rotten bit of it. It's the one place on earth a feller like me can really relax. I mean REALLY take a load off.

And how often can you say that these days, hmm?

There is not a thing here that I could wish different. I love it's cracked old walkways. The dirty beaches. The bent politicans.

I was about to say but most of all, I love the deep, dark underbelly of this town. The delightfully morbid, unavoidably putrid, seedy, festering underbelly that keeps a big ol' grin on me grizzled fizzog.

But then that wouldn't be quite true now, would it?

Because the thing that I love most of all about LA, is the people. Their indefatigable hopelessness, and willingness to accept everything jus' the way it is. Almost every last one of them, a lost, wandering soul, with nowhere to go.

City of Angels? Pull the other one.

This is MY town.

Lilah let out a small groan as she moved under the covers. She wriggled her body into the arms of the man lying next to her. Even after all their late night activates, which worked up a sweat, she could still smell the cologne he wore, the one that drove her crazy, and invaded her senses like nothing else ever had.
She felt his hand running through her dark hair, which hung lose down her back, and she forced her self to open her eyes. As she did she was greeted by his smiling face. “Hey” She spoke, her voice still edged with sleepiness, but she looked up and placed a kiss on his jaw, which was rough with a days worth of stubble. She then moved up, as he wrapped his arms around her and nibbled at his ear, until he playfully tickled her. She moved away and playfully hit him. She grabbed the covers and snuggled down deeper into her bed and looked around her messy apartment. , the clothes which they had both worn the day before scattered around the dully lit bedroom. Lilah didn’t care about the mess. In fact her whole life was a bit of a mess right now. The one thing that only seemed to fit and be right was her and Wesley. And well that came as a big shock to her. Lilah didn’t do feeling or emotions, she was out to gain for her and her only. Other people never filtered into her equation of life…that was until Wesley walked into her life, and changed it completely, and secretly, part of her liked the effect he was having on her. Though shed never tell him, or anyone else for that matter. But she did care for him…love him in fact, and she was pretty sure the feeling was mutual. But even with some one in her life, lilah wasn’t going to change her out look. Her number one priority was always herself. She shifted her legs so they entwined with his. “up for round 4...or was it 5?” She teased as she felt him slid his hands down her back.

Illyria sighed as she looked around this godforsaken place. She smiled... Well there was a god now... And she would make her presence known. The blue godess walked around the town watching the humans just walking there. She watched them disgusted. She shook her head slightly leaning agianst a wall... She was gonna have so much fun here... that much she knew. She scanned the area again a smiled still on her lips. Yes, she could learn to like it here.

Connor sighed as he looked around LA, his town. He narrowed his eyes shaking his head. He had learned the hard way not to care about what was going on around here. The teen looked around eyes hard wondering what he was gonna run into. He brought a cigarette to his mouth taking a deep drag as he strolled the streets not bothering to even look at the f*cking mess it had become... or maybe almost been... what the hell did he know...?

Vitor woke on the bed in his run-down apartment, in the drug-pusher end of town. Blinking the morning sunlight out of his eyes, he turned and looked at the clock. It was around ten in the morning.

He had a busy day ahead of him.

Sitting up and rubbing his face, Vi reached over and extracted a Marlboro from the almost empty pack that lay on his bedside table, and fumbled unproductively in the semi-dark for a lighter. Unable to find one, he stood and walked over to the dresser on the other side of the room, where he located a box of matches, of which he proceeded to remove one, strike it, and light his first smoke of the day.

Choosing not to bother with breakfast, he showered and dressed, fixing his rapier in it's scabbard with a leather belt around his waist, which he deliberately offset at a jaunty angle, and, picking up his tin of tobacco and a pack of skins, he made his way out of the door, returning only briefly to pick up the twin Glock automatics that lay on the key table by the door, and place them in the two identical holsters that he wore under his jacket.

It was a sign of the times that a man could walk through the streets of Los Angeles with such poorly concealed weaponry. The police had long since given up and left town, or else were now themselves tools of the corrupt city officials. Or drug addicts.

See, there were no decent districts in this city. Not anymore, at least. Between the warring gangs and factions, the Mafia and the drug barons, there wasn't much of the city left for the innocent.

Oh...and then, of course, there was the South of the city. Downtown. Where the OTHER major shareholders in this god-forsaken hellhole chose to lead their "lives".

Vampireville.

Jessica lit a cigarette as she walked the streats of her new home. She put an arm around her little sister as she let some guy fly away from them. She had only just found out what she could do and was now enjoying the freedom it gave her. The little girl at her arm just smiled at her "eindelijk" she said and Jessica nodded "ja... het werd tijd" she sighed running a hand through her long black hair. She then walked into some appartment kicking the ones who were in there out "it's ours now" she simply told the people as she waved her hand throwing them on the streets. She then put her sister to bed and stood by her side keeping watch as she stared out the window...

At the side of a dusty highway, Dawn waited for a car to drive by. She knew it wouldn't be long before some dirty old man stopped to pick her up. She was dressed a bit like a hooker, leather pants and a short red top. Her hair was down, straight, the way she'd always worn it since she was a kid. She still looked pretty young- but that's never stopped any guy from trying to take advantage of her before. Little did they know, she could more than take care of herself.

Just as she expected, a pick-up truck pulled up beside her. "Need a ride?" an old guy who kind of looked like a farmer asked. He didn't look like the nasty leeching type. She was glad and happily climbed in next to him, nodding a thanks. "Where you headed?" he asked after a moment of silence.

"L.A," Dawn responded dully. No big deal.

The old farmer took his eyes away from the road to take a good look at her. "LA? Are ya kidding me? It's not safe. Does your family live nearby? I'll take ya there."

Dawn shook her head. "Just take me as close to LA as you'll go."

The farmer sighed. "You remind me of my daughter." He paused. "She's gone now. The world is a dangerous place, hun. Just go home, will ya?"

"Whatever," Dawn said and looked out the window at the fields flipping by.

"I'll take you to LA," the farmer said softly and the rest of the ride was silent.

He dropped her off at the outskirts of the city. She confidently ventured into the city, confident she could deal with anyone- or anything that would come across her path. She lit up a cigarette and inhaled deeply, smiling slightly. This was where she belonged.

Cool and composed as always, Oz killed the engine of his growling van and looked over to Giles, who sat in the passenger seat wearing a frown. He followed Giles' gaze to the building that they were parked behind, Caritas, karaoke bar belonging to a demon named Lorne.
'Are you sure this is the right place?' asked the former-Watcher.
Oz observed the building for a moment. It looked fairly rundown and as though it had seen a fire or two in the recent years. He wasn't sure whether it would be a bad thing if this wasn't the place they were looking for but he decided to stay positive.
'Pretty much, yeah.' he nodded, taking the key from the ignition.
'Come to think of it, I'm not sure what I was expecting for a demon hideout,' Giles murmured as pulled a hankerchief from his pocket to clean his glasses.
'No time like the present.' Oz opened his door to get out but before he could step onto the ground and breath fresh air again, Giles grabbed his arm. Passing him a stake, Giles nodded, 'Just incase.'
For a second Oz wondered what use a stake would be against anything other than a vampire but he wasn't in the mood to discuss this, he just wanted to get what he had came for. Though on second thoughts, a stake through the heart of most creatures tended to do the trick.

The watcher and the werewolf pulled themselves from the seats they had been sat in for what seemed like days and once again felt the ground beneath their feet. Though as they approached the building, they got the distinct feeling that their journey wasn't going to end just yet. In fact, quite the opposite.

Wesley didn't even notice Lilah was there after their 5th time. He hadn't noticed her for a very long time. He lay there panting and sweating whilst looking up at the ceiling. He did not bother to answer Lilah's unworthy question. He stared and stared at the ceiling until his eye caught a fly that had perched itself where he was looking. He stared at the fly. He did not want to go to sleep, for when he did, he had nightmares.
He looked to his left and saw the side table which had lying on it a half empty bottle of vodka. He knew the other several bottles were lying on the ground somewhere, and a few were in the bed, if you would call it a bed anymore, and a tiny bit of the contents had spilled on the sheets but honestly, he didn't know if it was vodka or c**, mostly it was all the same thing now. His heart had been beating fast but now it was going slow. He needed another swig of drink. He reached over and lazily snatched up a bottle and drank it down. The taste didn't bother him anymore, in fact he ravished it. He threw the bottle down and then without looking or thinking or feeling about her, he kissed Lilah hard. He felt nothing...

DARLA

I never was Maternal. Always hated the mere existence of a child and anyone would have known it; that is if they had the Ill-luck to meet me and its not like they’ll ever live to tell. So, it comes in strange when I think of myself as a mother. I can’t quite understand the concept of it, what it’s suppose to mean to me or what I’m suppose to do about it.

I sometimes dream about a woman, the woman who made me but that memory is vague and the girl she whipped was not me, not anymore. But when I think about that woman, it reminds me of who I might of have been, a oddly prominent part of who am and that’s a whore, the daughter of a whore.

So maybe the skill of motherhood was never blessed upon me. No whore in the face of existence is capable of raising a beautiful child, its simply impossible. I know that better than anyone and believe me I’ve tried to spawn at least one of those cherry-cheeked-smiling children but somehow my efforts escaped unnoticed.

Here I am, watching what came out from my womb, what I given birth to as they play and I can’t help but Smile when I realise that I have spawned something more than special. Truthfully, I gave birth to beautiful creatures. Like my Darling boys-Angelus and Connor. Both mine, both been inside me and are forever-for keeps. Yes, they are made in two completely different manners. Non the less, its all birth to me.

Like any Feline, I had expected my kittens to find a pride of their own and much to my dismay they did- Angelus had done so. While Connor is still learning how to be a Lion, waiting for that faithful day where he’ll fight his father for the pride and I too cannot wait till my Angelus comes home.

Although meanwhile, the Pride Rock and the Pride itself belongs to another deadly kitten form my litter box. William. Now, that had been unexpected and yet its fitting. So maybe, I might be maternal after all- How else could have I given light to the most lethal pack of predators walking the earth?

I had always known birth to be painful but had never believed it to be this fulfilling

DRU&DARLA

“It’s a pretty world” Dru murmured, giddily. Her dark eyes wide with innocence and broken sanity as her wine dress swayed with her hips, flowing with a child like grace. “Don’t you think Mummy” she asked the older vampiress standing beside her-who was watching the waste land unfold before them.

The blond simply nodded. “Yes. Yes it is Dru” Darla eyes burned on the her boy leaning against the wall, across the street. She knew he wasn’t aware of her watching him and she wanted to keep it that way since the boy doesn’t take it too lightly when he finds out that she has been stalking him but then again wants a mother to do? He’s young. She then frowned, catching on what she just been referred to-as “and stop calling me that!” She snapped.

Drusilla jumped a little and then after a second she giggled. “Oh. OK. Pretty daughter” she corrected innocently.

Darla's frown deepened and she rolled her eyes before turning to face her gran-childe yet weirdly her sire. “Why don’t we go get ourselves a lovely little girl to eat then?” She suggested, a icy yet pleasant smile creamed on her lips.

“Will Spuky come?” Dru asked, eyes widening with excitement.

“No.” Darla began the opposite direction to Connor. “He has something to tend to” She informed, feeling Drusilla pout and hurry after her whist wining. “But…he needs to find me the dolly I want”

“Well. Mrs Edith is alright for now” The blond muttered in response, still prowling within the shadows as blue eyes scanned the surroundings for a suitable meal.

“No. not Ms Edith. I mean the naughty one…they made her…” Drusilla stopped and began spinning around on the spot whist staring up at the black sky “She’s so shinny and alone”

Darla glanced over her shoulder with an expression that’s more than irritated. “Dru. Whatever it is William will get it for you. Now stop dancing on the streets and start hunting like the good girl you are”

Dru beamed at her Grand-sire and nodded. “I am a good girl.”

Darla smiled and reassumed her pacing. “Good. Come on then”

“I’m A good girl. Daddy said so” Dru added for herself.

“yes he did and yes you are. Now come on” Darla assured and ordered softly.

Strolling unhurriedly down the sidewalk headed towards the south of the city, Vitor felt uncharacteristically content. The sun shone brightly down on the largely empty streets, and a gentle breeze caressed his face. It reminded him of his first home back in Spain, where the sun beat down relentlessly in the summer, but was so often countered by the light, cooling winds that blew in off the Atlantic.

Puffing on his cigarillo, Vitor often enjoyed the daytime. Being half human, he didn't have to worry about the sun. And it was always so much more peaceful than night time in this part of the city. Without the mayhem and chaos that sun-down brough, you could almost believe that LA had once been a beautiful and vibrant town. Almost.

Pausing to sit on a long-disused bench, one of the few that still remained out of the many thousands that had once been scattered around the city, he reached inside his jacket and extracted one of his customised automatics, removing the clip, checking it, and replacing it.

In truth, he only carried guns out of spite. Very rarely was he bothered by any of the humans in this town. He had a...reputation, shall we say.

He had long ago learned that guns can't kill a vampire. They just hurt like hell.

Wandering a little further now, he was close to the centre of Vampireville, and was more than a little surprised when he came accross a young girl wandering the streets with a vague smile on her face.

She could have been no more than perhaps seventeen or eightteen, and was strikingly pretty. Her clothes didn't leave much to the imagination either, and Vitor found his eyes roving greedily over her body. She still hadn't seen him.

Now here was a chance to do something that he really enjoyed. Scaring the living crap out of people.

Ducking into the shadows of a few nearby trees, he became all-but invisible. One of the upsides of being a half demon...he could simply fade into the shadows. Disappear whenever he felt like it...

Jumping up into the branches, he waited for the girl to walk underneath, going a little way past him, before speaking...

"A little off your patch this far south, don't you think, querida?"

And, seeing her look around confused, he let himself rematerialize again, appearing in a crouched position on a branch above her head, with a gun in either hand.

The girl is Dawn, btw. Just for Laura's benefit =P

Connor leant against a wall blowing out some smoke when he felt eyes on him. He sighed, he knew that feeling. It meant his mother was close. He glanced around but was unable to find her presence. The boy shook his head He had spent most his life in quor toth with Holtz listening to stories about what his mom and dad had done. Then he had found a way back only to find this f*ucked up place wasn't any better then that damn hell dimension... and then Holtz died so he now was alone. He now was unsure how he felt about all of this... his mother this close... he just didn't know.... It wasn't like any of it really mattered though... nothing did, that is what he had learned at a young age. He threw away his cigarettebut stamping it out before continuing his walk.

Jessica stared out the window. She actually needed to stretch her legs for a bit. She glanced over at the little girl on the bed before letting her eyes wonder outside again. It wouldn't matter... She could protect her sister just by thought alone and so she stepped out on the streets lighting another cigarette looking around. There was some blond chick talking to a brunette walking by. She smirked shaking her head slightly pulling her butlong hair back in a braid as she leant against the wall of their building the shadows slightly hiding her as she took a deep drag before releasing the smoke into the air...she was finally gonna enjoy life and live it to the max. And the best part was.. there was noone here to stop her... her lips formed into a smile as she stretched her body

Lorne was panicking.

Now this wasn't anything particularly new. In itself, anyway. He did quite a lot of panicking. He considered himself a seasoned professional at it. He even found himself panicking for other people sometimes.

It was the reason for his panic that worried him.

Stalking around the room, or lounging lazily on various chairs, or sofas, or chaise longs around the main stage, were several vampires.

Again, this was nothing new. When you own a demon bar, you have to expect the odd vampire or seventy. In fact, some of Lorne's best friends were vampires.

But these guys...these were new. Lorne didn't recognize any of them.

And that would probably explain why they had him locked up captive in his own bar.

As the last vamp that had sung walked up to him, he wished vehemently that they would just go away.

"So...what's going on with me?" he growled.

Lorne sighed.

"Ehhh...your head is all over the place. You don't know what to do now that you're a vampire, and you can't get used to the blood lust and sucking on people who might've been your friends once over freaks you out. Nothing more serious than the vamp equivalent of teen angst, I'm afraid."

The vamp reeled a little, stunned.

"Oh, and I also predict a horrible, dusty, fiery death in your near future", added Lorne, sardonically.

The vamp mused on this for a moment, and then growled again.

"You lie!" he shouted, grabbing Lorne by the throat.

Eyes wide, Lorne just about managed to speak again...

"Y'know you guys are in SO much trouble when Angel gets back!"

And with that, he passed out.

Willow trailed her black nails along the crumbling paint of the factory walls. Letting out an exasperated sigh, she tilted her head, letting her red locks slide over her porcelain shoulder.
As she glided towards the two vampire guards at the end of the hall, she ran her pale hands over their chests and walked through the cold steel door. She stood there a moment, transferred her weight onto her right leg and gazed over the dark room. She slowly navigated her way to the other end of the large room, taking care to smile politely at the many men and women hung by their arms around the room. Some had enough life in them left to slightly shrink away from her lingering touch, but most just looked at the vampire with cold, hollow eyes, no longer caring about what might happen.

Willow unlocked the cage door and stepped in. She was immediately met with howls and deep growling from the three werewolves chained at the neck.
She tilted her head to the side and an angelic smile played at her dark red lips.
“They still haven‘t changed. I‘m glad. How long will they stay like this?”
At her question, a small man emerged from the shadows. He was of slight build and held his petite hands close to his chest. Another rodent of L.A.
“Err…heh…the, err, Initiative were only in their very early stages with the, errr…technology. I’m still not positive how the serum will effect individual wolves.”
“Ohh, that‘s OK, practice makes perfect,” said Willow as she leaned closer to one of the wolves. “Besides, I haven‘t broken necks in a while.”

He lay there for a while. That time wasn't anything new to him. Nothing that he hadn't already done before. Wesley briefly looked over at Lilah, but no emotions arose. He wasn't under the blankets anymore, in fact the blankets weren't on the bed, they were on the ground somewhere. Oddly enough, he didn't care. He didn't care about a lot of things anymore...
He got up off the bed and walked over to the window and peered out of it at the City of so-called Angels. It was night, but then again, it was always night. Not literally, but his world had turned a dark shade of black. When was the last time he had slept? Two, three nights ago?? He wasn't sure of it.
He heard Lilah in the background but ignored her. He looked down at his arms, which were covered in tiny cuts and teeth marks. He had got them from fights, well, either that or another form of fighting. He didn't think to deeply about that sort of crap anymore. Not like he used to anyway.
"Get out." He said softly and gently. He was speaking to Lilah, but deep down, he could hear the words sit somewhere in his soul. If such a thing still existed in this form. He didn't hear any reply and hoped she had just left.
He stood there, not knowing what he would be doing next, but he felt in the mood for getting wasted. The vodka obviously wasn't strong enough since he still remembered how to feel. He could feel the hard wood under his hands. he could still feel the floor underneath his feet. He could still feel that something wasn't right. He didn't want to be able to feel such things...

Dawn heard a voice and she stopped dead in her tracks. Even though she put up a badass front, she was still as weak and scared as any human inside. She frowned a little and looked around her for where the voice could have come from, confused. There didn't seem to be anyone around. She had always been taught to look up. She looked up just in time to see a guy materialize out of thin air into the branches above her. He held two guns. She immediately put up her hands.
Fu*k, don't shoot," she said. If only this guy was on the ground; she could probably kick him in the nuts or bash his head into the sidewalk before he even realized what was happening. Faith had taught her to use her human strength to the fullest.

Giles couldn't help but feel there had been some history in the alleyway they stood in but his memory failed him. Giles looked down the dingy road and then up into the clouded sky. The sun was still up, the bar wouldn't be open yet but he would be here.

The pair, weary from travel but determined none-the-less, looked at each other for a moment, the kind of eye contact that can only happen between close friends. They were finally going to get some answers. They proceeded to force their way through the old rusting door into the back of Caritas.

They found themselves in a dark room, this wasn't particularly unusual amd neither were the noises coming from deeper in the building. Drunken chants and angry voices. Vampires? Demons? Whatever it was, they didn't sound happy. The two crept towards the opposite doorway and Oz, in a seemingly professional manner, got himself flat against the wall and peered his head round the corner. Giles felt the tension in the air rise but it soon disappeared when Oz announced,
'Okay. Thats just another room.'
They headed through the second room, which was as badly lit and empty as the first one, and into a corridor that appeared to lead to the main part of the building. They headed up through another backroom and silently hid behind some boxes at the side of the stage. The two nervously lifted their heads to take a look at the situation.

On the edge of the stage laid a bright green demon, looking somewhat dead from Oz's perspective. Stood near him was a particularly mean looking vampire who was addressing a rabble of a crowd sat around various parts of the bar.

Lilah knew Wesely was distant from her. In some form it bothed her, but mainly, she didnt vare either. Deep down she knew that. She didnt love him, for a while she may have thought she did. But really...he was just another notch on her bed post. He told her to get out, and she was willing to do that. She slipped her black dress on, throwing her panties into her bag. She ran a hand through her hair, and grabbed her shoes and sliped them onto her feet. She said nothing to Wesely as she left his appartment. She knew when he needed that perverable itch scratched again hed call her...he always did. And to be honest that arrangement suited her just fine.

She stepped out into the cool air and breathed it in. She loved LA. She loved everything in it, and everything about it. She smiled as she made her way down the road, rummingin in her bag for the keys to her appartment.

Cordelia jet landed her back in LA. She hadnt missed it. Infact while she was away in New York fliming she handt given the hollywood hills a second thought. She did like the fame and the fortune though. I guess She had become a shallow version of herself. Cordelia Chase, was now rich, famous and liked to think she ruled the world.
Cordelia was trying to ignore the fact La was calling to her. It had been a long time since she had been in the city. It was a city that was full of memories, alot of painful too. The city of Angels...She let out a laugh. And for a second her mind breifly thought about Angel, and the times she had with him and the others. But those days were long gone. Everyone had died..or moved on. Cordy had been granted her dreams, she had wealth, fame, celeb status, all the clothes and shoes she could ever wish for.

As she walked down the builivard of broken dreams she flicked her waste lenght very dark hair over she shoulder, and the sound of her expensive jimmy chooes cliked in the sidewalk as she made her way to no where in particular. Her atire was glamours. She knew people were looking at her. Her little Gucci dress showed off her long tanned legs, tiny waste, and perfect breasts to a tea. cordelia Chase looked good and god she knew it.

Willow sat in the back of the car and distractedly watched the dismal scenery from her darkened window. Tonight her faction’s numbers were going to double, making hers the second biggest in L.A. It was going to be a challenge, she would probably lose some of her new dead.

“What‘s taking so long? I‘m starting to lose that shiny, excited feeling,” she said, pouting.
“There‘s a road block up ahead,” said her driver. “They‘re clearing it.”

As her car eased forward, Willow watched her men fling corpses, some fresh, some not so, on to the sidewalks. As she watched, a smile spread across her face and she let out a nostalgic and satisfied sigh.

“I love this town.”

ANGEL

With a cold face cased in steel my nostrils flare a the smell of burnt cocaine and dolor as I strive along the wet concrete with eyes narrowing with disdain at the passing strangers realizing that the ones who are worth saving are diseased or broken with holes in their arms and I can't help but notice their need for self-mutilation as if knowing that- if they want to go to heaven, they otta die first.

I see them walking, I dare call it walking because truth be told they stumble, stager, fall and drag themselves along the filthy streets. In response, A part of me wants to smile with ease and pride while the other simply craves the burning taste of expensive whiskey, needing the false warm blanket to shield the acidic guilt that eats at my dead insides.

Guilt for knowing that I let LA fall to waste. Ashamed of the fact that I wasn't hero enough to save it and how now, I can't quite manage to force myself to regret my mistake.

My frown deepens as I catch sight of him in time, causing me to swiftly sink deep into the shadows and withhold a stirring growl. He was standing there nursing away a cheep cigarette as predatory blue eyes scan the streets and lips curled into a ever-present smirk. And It struck me strange, On how he was simply standing there with his infamous long leather Jacket hanging loose from his shoulders as always expected, along with the somewhat sprayed on Jeans and tight black T-Shirt. Nothing ever changes about his appearance, not a single thing; let alone the licked back bleach blond hair.

I know I’m expected to be at Caritas but Spike standing alone in the street is all together something else and A Something I need to worry about since I know with too much experience, that the rebellious little shit never stood still for a second, so when he does- I know to expect something bad.

DARLA

Barely three feet away within a blanket shadows, insatiable blue eyes began admiring the length of the other woman’s legs, the modest curve of full breast peaking out from a charming cashmere black dress and the glistering tone of the skin stretching down her neck, ever so inviting and soft. Darla would have recognised the ex-lawyer as easily as she would her sweet boy-Lindsey.

With a pleased smile Darla removed her eyes from the woman who was still looking for her keys, in order to search for Drusilla- who like always wondered off. All the more pleased she returned her undivided attention to the oblivious brunet and graciously stepped out from her little cocoon, baring a venomous smile to her red lips and a deadly glint to her blue eyes.

Seductively valuing the length of the woman opposite her, the vampiress let her hips curve to the right as her fingers slowly traced the curve of her own exposed cleavage. “I’m so glad we let you live” her tone involuntarily seductive.

Jessica now watched the blond chick that passed her before who now looked at some brunette that was searching her bag. She smirked slightly intruiged and curious as to what was gonna happen. A small curled her lips again, no... she was definatly not gonna get bored in this f*cked up town. She leant back for the show, a glass of boose joining her from the appartment and then she waited for it all to unfold...

Conner sighed as he walked passed Caritas. There was some noise inside. He was about to walk past but somehow he felt he should enter. He walked around back to find the door open. He frowned but entered scanning the area.... Lorne laying on the ground with demons scattered around... Two other man he had never seen staring at it all. He frowned shaking his head slightly...

Cordelia knew these streets well. She had lived in them for long enough. At a time, not so long ago, LA and everything in it had been her life. She had a purpous being in LA. The visions, the Heloing the helpless....but that was all in the past. days long gone and memroes which fafed further with every passing second. The chill of the cool night air whipped around her and blew her long hair around her, in a shwirle of raven glory. She stopped as she notced the entrance to Caratas. She looked at it for a long while before deciding to head in. After all what harm could it do? Cordelia figured her friends were long gone from places like this, but she felt a urge to head into the bar she once use to love visiting. As she moved towards it and pushed opend the doors, and the smell of drink and the musky bar sent hit her. She wrinkled her face, obviously not plased with what greeted her and she steped into the empty bar, which was frankly a mess. She raised a eyebrow wonding what Lorne would think if he were here. As she walked further into the bar, she came to a sudden hault as she was a figure she knew she knew all too well. An involountry breath caught in her throught as she looked him up and down. Then in a tone which was echoed with suprise she spoke his name. "Connor?"

Lilah was starting to feel anger as for some reason her keys didnt seem to want to be found. Eventually she located them and wrapped her slender fingers around them. As she did this she looked up intime to see an all to familar blonde step out of the shadows. As she did so, she looked at the other woman appraching her and rasied a eyebrow. Now this could get interesting. She stood her ground, cool and composed as Darla appraoched. The female didnt frighten her. Lilah took a few secodns to look her up and down as she spoke. A small smirk crossing her lips. "And now why is that?" She asked meeting her gaze.

Connor's head snapped up at the sound of his name as he then looked into a familiar face "Codelia..." he softly replied and frowned. What was she doing here? How long had it been since he had seen her? The teen swiftly moved over to the brunette not sure if he was glad to see her... or not. He sighed cursing himself... would this damn place, himself... ever make any sense? He looked at her questionably "what...?" he asked ignoring what was going on around him for a second...

It was him...Cordelia would know that body anywhere...the way he moved, the way he healed himself. He was after all the one she choise to live with, be with one the higher plane had returned her back to earth. She looked at him as he moved towards her. The way he spoke her name sent a weired sensation through her. He handt changed much. She smiled at him. "Yeah its me" She said her tone softening only slightly. She wasnt sure what to make of all this. Her first time back in LA in what seemed like for ever and the first person she saw was him...Cordleia let out a soft chuckle as he aske dher what, and she looked him up and down once more "All grown up i see"

Cordelia noted he was checking her out. But she chose to say nothing about it. She took took the moment to takr him in. All of this was quite sereal. She had no idea why she was here, and with Connor of all people. She still remembered their night together all too well, and everything that happend after wards too.
"Im good" She told him, as she flicked her long hair over her shoulder. "I have my own TV show now, its cool, i love it, im like an actress..." She told him her eyes sparkling with excitment. "So what about you?" She questioned, she so wanted to know about Angel. The last she heard Connor had a new family a new life....but yet here he was...

The sparkel fell from her eyes as he told her about his family. "Im sorry to heard about your family Connor" She told him, and she meant it. Death was never a nice thing, yet it happend to them all....Hell it had happend to her....until they brought her back and gave her everything she had ever wished for. As Connor Spoke Angels name Cordelia felt as if all her sencese were hightend. God she had missed Angel. For a long while he took up most of her waking thought, but then as she became more successful, she was able to let him slip her mind. But now here she was, back in his city....She knew shed seem him again soon....

As Connor asked her why she was here, she shook her head. Truth be told she herself had no idea why she was here. Something had drawn her here. "you know ive been asking myself the very same thing" She said, then looked aside and saw Lorne knocked out on the floor. She gasped and moved over to him. "Lorne?" She asked as she pocked at him with her expensive jimmy Choo shoe.

Wesley eventually turned around to look at his bedroom. He had been staring out of the window for a long time. He usually did that. He didn't do it naked usually, but it didn't bother him in the least. He saw Lilah had left and he mentally thanked her for her discretion, but she only stayed on his mind for one-two seconds at most. His mind turned to other matters, like where he was going to go tonight.
He walked over to the bed and retrieved his pants from the foot of the bed. He silently put them on and all at once felt restricted. He didn't mind though. He stepped into the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. He saw a man who clearly hadn't shaved for a week, a man who had bags under his eyes and a man who had cuts all over his face. One along his left cheek, another across his right eyebrow, yet another on the top and bottom of his mouth and a long gash on the right of his forehead. He also had many on his body.
He stared at himself for a while then turned on the tap and splashed ice cold water on his face. He closed his eyes and all his troubles went away, then he opened them and his reflection laughed at him. Laughing at the fool he had become, at the pitiful bastard he now was. Wesley hated everything in his life, everyone in his life, and himself. Oh, how he just loathed himself, he hated what he had become. But he then reminded himself that he had become this because he had to survive here in this poor excuse for a city. He needed to be this thing to get along here.
He turned and walked over to his wardrobe which, besides two shirts and one other pair of pants, was empty. He grabbed one of the shirts, this one was black. Funny, that shade had seeped into his life in so many ways. He slipped it on and then put on his black shoes. He ran his fingers through his hair once and then felt ready enough to face the rotten, stinking streets of Los Angelus.

Buffy headed towards the Night Club, as she always did. Her scar on her upper lip twinged and Buffy put her hand against her mouth, and realized it was bleeding. *Damn, must have knocked it...*. She wiped her lip and continued to walk towards the club. Dressed in black leather trousers and a small white top which left hardlys anything to the imagination, her crimped blonde hair resting on her shoulders, she walked past the long line, and looked at the bouncer. He looked a little scared and let her in. The long line of clubbers were not happy either, but they sensed Buffy was not the kind of girl you should mess with.
As she walked down the stairs, she felt the dagger that she kept tied around her ankle dig into her. She just shrugged it off and walked to the bar. She ordered a shot of Straight Vodka and she tipped her head back and swallowed it. The back of her thoat was burning, but it didn't bother her. She was used to it.

Vi scrutinised the girl closely for a moment. She was pretty, there was no denying that. But there was something about her...a sense of innocence lost. And the fact that she stank to high heaven of the acrid, greasy smelling smoke that burning cannabis produced to his heightened senses didn't exactly do much to oppose his initial opinion of her.

He paused for a moment, and was on the verge of leaping down to the pavement when something irked him. Looking over to his right, he felt the hairs on the back of his neck begin to rise.

"We are being watched..." he intoned, sparing the girl a quick sideways glance.

Deciding that discretion was the better part of valour, he leapt down, catching the girl by surprise, landing lightly, and springing back to his feet sharply, levelling the gun at her head, all in one swift movement.

"My name is Vitor Luis Fuerte Calderon" he said, his Spanish accent becoming momentarily more apparent as he spoke his full name. Seeing the girl reel with incomprehension a little, he added "But you may call me Vi."

He lowered the gun, and placed the one held in his right hand back inside his jacket.

"It is not safe to be this deep in the south of the city, even in the day. And there are many eyes upon us. I am leaving now, querida. I would advise you to do the same."

Buffy made her way towards the dance floor and looked around. An echo of her previous life. People were dancing. They looked *happy*. Just then somebody bumped into Buffy. Male. Buffy glared at the tall male and growled,
'Watch where you are going'.
The man eyed Buffy, and stumbled backwards. He was obviously drunk.
'Listen, why don't we go out back and...'
Buffy interrupted him
'You don't want to finish that sentence.'
The man's friends grabbed his shirt and took him in the opposite direction of Buffy. Buffy rolled her eyes and walked back to the bar. She sat on a stool and ordered another shot of Vodka.

Wesley stepped out into the cold dark street in front of his apartment block. He breathed in the polluted air and started walking. Still not knowing where it was that he wanted to go that night, he made a split-second decision and turned left on his way to Stripes, a night club. He didn't really know why he was going to a night club since night clubs weren't really his thing, but tonight, he thought it was time for a change since he definitely didn't see any change in LA.
All he saw around him was ugly concrete blocks which had too much graffiti on them and barbed wired fences surrounding "parks" and 'off limits' areas. He breathed softly as he passed a certain alley where there were four or five people getting high and wasted with pot and shit. One of them moaned slightly, but Wesley went on passed them.
He started to walk slower. He knew where he was, hooker central. There was a girl not 15 years by the looks of it, who was leaning against the hard wall showing off her assets. Wesley walked passed her without a second glance. "Hey, baby." One of the bitches had actually walked up to him and did a little dance. Wesley didn't want to touch her but she wouldn't get out of his way, so he pushed her aside. She gasped and as he walked on he heard her yelling at him.
He turned the corner out of that goddamn street and turned into a larger street where there were now more people walking around and more hookers, and low-lives hanging around. He saw more lights and slightly taller buildings about him. He turned right down an alley where a homeless man was asleep. Wesley walked on until he came out of the other end of the alley and into a much, much larger road filled with night clubs. He walked on until he saw the entrance to Stripes, but the line was too damn long. Wesley would not and could not wait that long. He knew a shortcut.
Wesley kept on walking and turned into the alley where the clubs staff door was located. He walked casually over to the door and opened it. he walked into the bustling kitchen. A man came over to him and said, "Uh, sir? Sir?" Wesley ignored the man but he kept on saying, "Sir, you're not allowed back here." "I'm not staying in here, I'm merely going into the club." Wesley replied neutrally. The man looked like he was going to say something else, then Wesley looked at the man with hard eyes. "That's not a problem now, is it?" the man shook his head and shifted away.
Wesley opened the door out of the staff area and into Stripes the club itself. There were people dancing, smoking, making out, laughing and what he was here for, drinking. He walked over to the bar and ordered a shot of Tequila. The bartender served him and Wesley put a note down on the counter. Wesley downed the shot and asked for another. He looked around the club and at the rest of the people at the bar area. He frowned. He saw the back of a woman's head. Blond. Petite. He squinted. Buffy?

Buffy lent over the bar and asked the bartender for a light. She took a ciggrette she had behind her ear and the bartender lit it for her. She then spun around on her seat to see the dance floor. She looked up and down the bar and layed eyes on a man...who looked like... *Oh God*

Wes? What are *you* doing here?

The petite blond turned around and exclaimed to Wesley. Wesley smiled slightly. "Buffy." He said with brief joy in his voice. He looked her up and down. She hadn't changed much, but she did look much more mature, plus, she was smoking and drinking, something Wesley was almost positive he would never see her do. Yes, in all truth, she had changed. But so had he. He held up his shot glass and said, "They do Tequila splendidly here." He motioned for her to come sit next to him.

Buffy had asked a perfectly simple and legitimate question, but for Wesley there were so many ways of answering. He thought about everything in his life at the time. He sighed. "Swimmingly." He said unenthusiastically. He tried to not let her see the cuts and scars, but it seemed impossible. "Although, there have been some... slight downfalls. I'm no longer working for Angel." Wesley looked up at Buffy. "And you?"

Buffy rolled her eyes. She forgot why she disliked Wesley so much. How have I been? Yeah, I saved the world, I looked after my kleptomaniac 'key' sister, I've died, I've been Faith...

Wesley heard the Buffy's tone of voice. The tone which was mixed with lying and not caring. He knew this tone well. After all, he had used it on a number of occasions like just then. He asked for another shot of Tequila. He downed it. "I've been... I heard Sunnydale is a hole in the ground now. Been so for a few years now. Why LA?" The question just sort of came out. He wanted to know why Buffy had lowered herself to this kind of loathing of self.

Buffy sighed and drank some of her Vodka and Coke.

'It was just an...'In The Moment' thing.

Buffy looked directly into her drink. She then looked at Wesley, and she was about to say something, then thought better of it and turned her stool, watching the people in the club dance.

They look so happy...

scarybunny
08-07-07, 07:29 PM
Wesley turned in his seat and watched the happy people. They weren't happy though. Anybody who stepped into LA wasn't happy. This was just an act. He looked at Buffy. She looked so lost. He almost felt sorry for her. But no, he didn't, he couldn't. He didn't know what she had been through these past few years and she knew nothing about him. And wasn't the reason of him coming here to get drunk and not care? Last he checked. Yes. So, he wouldn't care. "Yes, they do look happy." He lied.

Wesley didn't answer her. He had almost forgotten she was there, he had been in his own world where everything was fine. He looked over his shoulder and asked the bartender for something stronger. The guy gave him a shot glass filled with something kind of golden. "Cheers." He said quietly to himself. He tipped his head back and drained the contents of the glass. The liquid hit him hard on the tongue and throat. It was like fire and it was absolutely disgusting. After the initial shock he asked for another. While he was waiting he took out his phone. He stared at it for a while then decided against it. Not now. He put it back in his pocket. He took the shot glass filled with the stuff again and drank it up.

She nodded and smiled a little as Vi introduced himself, but she decided against giving out her own name. She really didn't know anything about this guy- except that he couldn't be 100% human.

Spike stood in the shadow under the bridge, sucking on his cigarette and savouring the taste of the smoke as he inhaled deeply. He had been there a good hour now, just...watching. Watching the people. Watching the city.

They say New York is the city that never sleeps. If that was true, then that made LA the city that came alive at night. The nocturnal city.

It was around one in the morning, and the streets were full. The revelry was in full flow, and would go on until the first hints of sunshine began to appear over the horizon. Then it would be time to retire.

A gust of wind picked up suddnely, and extinguished the flame at the end of Spike's cig. Reaching inside his jacket, he pulled out a lighter, and cupped his hands around the cigarette, bending over slightly against the wind. Straightening up again, he looked very deliberately over to his left, away from the presence on his right believed itself to be hidden.

Oz and Giles looked at each other in astonishment having seen Cordelia and Connor stroll into Caritas and back out without aiding Lorne though they were comforted by the fact that they hadn't been spotted.
'Was that Cordelia?' Giles whispered.
'I think so. Alert as ever.' Oz replied, sarcasm curling his mouth into a smile.
Silence fell on them again and you could clearly see their thought process on from their expression. They needed to help the demon. They needed to get rid of these vamps. But first, they could do with a bit more than a stake between them. Oz tilted his head towards the way they had came onto the stage and Giles nodded. They were moving along quite silently until one of them accidently stood on a switch turning on several large amps. A loud hum filled the area. The pair cringed at the sound. Giles signalled to keep going and Oz quickly stood up right to dart out the back but before they had reached the next door, a vampire had appeared from the doorway and another three vamps had lept onto the stage and followed them. They were trapped.
'Now now now, what do we have here then?' snarled one of the vamps from behind them, cracking his knuckles.
'Blood is back on the menu, guys!' cried another.
'Can't I interest you in some steak?' replied Oz, sounding half nervous, half ****y. The vamps launched themselves at the white hats, one of them being instantly dusted by the stake Giles had given Oz less than ten minutes ago. Giles on the other hand wasn't so lucky; instantly recieving a punch to the cheekbone. Unarmed but resourceful, Giles spotted a thick wire running along the bottom of the corridor and pulled it up just in time to wrap it round the neck of his attacker. Quickly noting that this wasn't doing the world of good, he kneed the vampire in his stomach and flung him towards Oz who staked him perfectly as Giles took a swing at the vampire that Oz had been dealing with. Two left. The way to the van was clear but if Giles had learnt anything from his years spent as a watcher, running down a corridor with two vampires in pursuit could leave you extremely vunerable to being sucked dry and so they prepared to fight. They faced the two vampires side by side, the two vampires looking at them in a state of shock.
'I would prefer the blood,' snarled the braver of the two vamps.
The other merely remarked, 'I'll get a takeaway' before running off.
The remaining vamp then did something quite unexpected.
He pulled a gun from the inside of his jacket and lined it up with Giles' head.

Buffy couldn't think what to say. *At least* she thought *any conversation is better than sitting saying nothing...even if it is with some 30-something-year-old-ex-watcher-of-Buffy's-that-had-about-as-much-excitement-as-an-wet-blanket. *I bet even wet blankets have more fun than him. He might have changed though...who knows?*

How...uh...long have you...uh...lived in LA for?

Wesley turned his head and looked at Buffy. This was obviously forced conversation, but he would play. "Too long." He said simply.
He looked over his shoulder at the counter. There were four shot glasses there, one had tipped over. They didn't do anything. He needed to let off some steam. "And you? When did all this happen?"
He looked back at the nightclubbers pretending to have a wonderful time.

Buffy knew that this was an open question, one to which she had many replies.

Uh...when Sunnydale became a very large crator.

Buffy gulped down her drink, and asked for another one.

Wesley side glanced Buffy. He raised an eyebrow then let it drop. "That was a few years ago was it not?" He sipped the whiskey he had ordered. "What took up the rest of that time? Took you long enough to get here." This was a fairly straightforward question, but he knew that if she had posed the same question at him he would of course have to lie to her. He would feel no guilt though. She would probably lie to him now anyway.

Buffy just shrugged. She didn't feel like letting Wesly in on the whole 'Truth thing'. She took her drink and knocked it back. Buffy had been watching two men on playing on a pool table, and they had finished the game. The pool table was available.

Fancy a game?

Buffy nodded towards the pool table. She was bored, and couldn't think of anything better to do.

Wesley sighed. He couldn't believe how not drunk he was. He looked over at the pool table and shrugged. "Might as well." He said unenthusiastically. He got up slowly from the stool and walked over to the now free table. He arranged the table and picked up a stick.

Buffy followed Wesley. She could tell he was drunk. She smirked. *This is going to be an easy game* she thought. She picked up a stick and leaned against the pool table.

Wesley leaned forward over the table and got in position. He steadied himself and Click! The ball he had been aiming for went straight in. He didn't get any satisfaction from his shot and didn't change his expression. This was a very unfortunate night. His eyes drooped slightly, but mostly because he hadn't slept for days but also because of how bored he felt. He wished someone or something would come up and hassle him and then throw a punch. Would he be in luck tonight?

10-07-07, 07:26 PM
Buffy leaned over the pool table. She focused on the ball she wanted. She hit the ball...it missed. She had hit too hard. Buffy scowled at the ball and sighed. She watched it hit of the side of the pool table and came closer to one of the pockets. *A little further...a little further...NO!* Buffy cursed the ball under her breath. It had come so close to going into the pocket.

"you're gonna have to do it" She said handing it back to him, and waited for him to help clean up her wounds.

Willow’s car pulled into the parking lot of an abandoned diner/motel on the outskirts of L.A. She stepped out of the car and observed her surroundings. The diner had long since closed, the windows either brown with dirt or boarded up. There were holes in the roof of the motel building and some of the rooms were missing doors.

The rest of her people now surrounded her in a semi-circle 5 vampires deep. The small parking lot over flowed with dark cars and large trucks, some parked on the hard shoulder of the road behind them.

“We make this quick and quiet. Make sure they’re injected before they Change. And don’t waste time with feeding.” A smile curled her lips. “We can do that back in the factory.”

“Alright,” said a tall, muscular vampire on Willow’s right, “everybody spread out, we take them all sides. Let‘s move out.”

With that, Willow and the rest of her people swiftly sunk into the darkness of the trees.

"No one's gonna miss me if I die," Dawn replied darkly, thinking more about Faith's recent disappearance than her sister, Buffy. She tried to tell herself that she hated them both now.

She watched him roll the cigarette curiously. She almost asked for one but decided against it. She rubbed her hands together, feeling a little uneasy.

"Yeah I'm new, so what?" she said rudely. The sky was quickly darkening and Dawn's uneasy feeling deepened. She still had no idea who or what this Vi guy really was. He could be a part of some lame vamp gang and who knows, they could pounce as soon as it was dark enough.

She put her arms on her waist and tried to look commanding. "Ok look man, tell me what you are and what you want or get out of my face."

"New York is great, it has real human people, and you know HOTELS!" She said still not pleased with the fact she had no choice but to stay with Connor. As he fixed her head, she figgeted as she searched in her purse for her cell. Once she located it, she flipped it open, and went to dial her agents number..."I cant believe this!" Buffy was bored. Again. She put down her cue and leaned against a pole that was next to the pool table. A man walked by, and Buffy saw that he had some ciggarettes hanging out of his back pocket. She pick-pocketed two ciggarettes and put one behind her ear. She took out a lighter that was in her very small front pocket, lit up the cigarrette and smiled. She put the lighter back into her pocket, and began to smoke.

FAITH

I remember well the smell of tequila and pizza. The One bed, One bath and two months with Dawn drinking ourselves senseless until sunrise. We had Dawn a ten day Birthday till thanksgiving, She burnt the bird and I hit the road- leaving her limp on the bathroom flour with a overdose of cheap vodka and thanksgiving pizza.

I left for LA, the closes thing to home for me, Where the Brat had no place on being. So I did a one over on her since I also couldn't allow the brat to get attached like she did with B. I'm the bitch from hell but I know how it feels to be left behind by someone that you sort of like and maybe even love. She never let me in on what went on between her and the golden slayer but I guess it was something big. I mean, Why else would someone like Dawn want to hang with likes of me?

So, after a Blur in stereo, sonic bookmarks and bad scenes and I finally skidded my boot wagon into sin city. It Only took me a week to start the warfare with my eccentric neighbors since we're all craped in a single crumbling concrete box and at the moment the turntable spins to the beat of the pounding walls as I drink another drink with Billy Idol, this of course is after I had my sloppy sex with a faceless scum on the living room floor- who by the way is currently a small pile of dust that I keep trampling on with my pretty bare feet while I pull on my extremely low and tight leather pants, the skimpiest black top which barely hides my nipples and the usual ruby leather jacket I like, later fallowed by stiletto boots and my pretty hide out of the door- all out for a kill.

Now thats usually a raps for my nightly whirlwind of simple pleasures and principal. Yeah. Sure. Principles here are long gone but hell, here in LA you also make up your own Principles and due to that there's never a dull moment, which is why I barely miss living in selfish bliss with Dawn as I stride the streets as though I own the place and if I have anything to say about it, I do.

ANGEL

Angel watched his gullible childe while thinking himself undetected but apparently his boy had become quite the observer and to his disbelieve is actually putting his senses to some use. Angel could remember a era that William would have been eaten alive by him a thousand times over, due to his tendency to get distracted very easily. Although sometimes, when Angel thinks about it a little more- there might have been a large chance that the boy might have been pretending to be stupid.

The reasons for it had always escaped him since more often than not William would have been suitably punished. However Darla had always claimed that the boy had him rapped around his little finger- given the fact that whenever the blue eyed boyo required Angelus undivided attention he would have gotten it without barely a though. But mostly it was his big, inventive little dirty mouth that was his protégé and to Angels dismay it still is. So, maybe Darla might have been on to something.

Despite himself Angel let loose a oddly unfriendly yet bemused smile whist stepping out from his unhelpful hiding place as unreadable dark eyes instantly locks onto the younger vampire's blue ones. “Well...now William. You got me all worried”his tone heavy in sarcasm while the corner of his lips twit upwards and he prompts up a brow in question“....YOU DO. know its long past your bed time. Right?”

Darla's beautiful face glistened with deadly intent. “Well...” Her eyes savored Lilah's body once more, baring not even the slightest speck of shame on what she was actually doing. “Its extremely hard to find a woman hath as beautiful and equally savory as yourself. Plus...”

She began towards Lilah, getting uncomfortably close as her fingers reach out to caress Lilah's cheek. “...you have wonderful skin and No, vampire in their right mind would sire or kill you before letting you ripen first...and I'm so very glad I did.” She then takes one last step forward, completely invading Lilah's personal space in order to inhale the other woman's natural aroma “Since your smell wonderfully ripe and it seems that someone has been enjoying your juices already” Her red lips inches away Lilah's abused one “Now. That doesn't surprise me at all. Had always thought you to be a bit of a whore and... a good one at that too”

After a fraction of a moment Darla let out a short, rich chuckle “Oh. How. I have a weak spot for girls like you” She finally takes a step back and ****s her head while searching eyes burn onto Lilahs. “So very capable of bad and brilliantly evil things...” An deadly grin blooms onto her lips. “When given the power of course”

"What am I, hmm? Now what could you possibly mean by that, I wonder?"

He eyeballed the girl again, letting her know he was reading her. The poor child was beginning to smell of fear, and he allowed himself to smile his sideways smile.

"Let us say I am just a...guerilliero. A rogue spirit, if you like."

He lit his cigarette and puffed on it momentarily.

"You are lucky that I found you first, querida. There are some in this city who would not think twice about taking you as a plaything..."

He eyed her up and down visibly.

"Or perhaps I am the lucky one, hmm?" he said, winking.

Willow made no noise as she strolled toward a guard defending the entrance to the large clearing. She spread her fingers on top of his head and with a stiff jerk of her wrist, she snapped his neck. At a confused look from one of her men she said,

“He wasn‘t pretty enough.”

Willow walked across what looked like the courtyard of the village. It even had a fountain. Cute, she thought. With two other vampires behind her, she strode into a hut and stood by the door as her people injected a man and a little boy.
She positioned herself at the head of the bed that a boy of not much older than 16 slept in. As she took out one of the many syringes hidden in her long, black leather coat, the boy’s eyes opened and then widened at the site of her. With a crooked smile, she plunged the needle into the boy’s neck.

As she watched his beautiful honey coloured lashes close once again, she heard growling followed by a loud crash outside. She walked to the door of the hut and peered out to see two of her vampires struggling to subdue a dark, hairy figure at the foot of one of the larger huts.

“Ooh, this is going to be fun.”

Willow’s angelic face twisted into something more similar to the demon she carried inside her, and as her lips curled with a sinister smile, she ran out of the hut and threw herself on a man coming out of the hut next door.

Oz woke up. Alone.
He quickly got to his feet, trying to take in his surroundings as his head swirled like clothes in a washing machine. He was outside. By his van. Armed with a thumping headache. Oh boy, did he ache. He put his hands to his head in agony, feeling the crusty dried blood that had found a home on his forehead. Thoughts rushed through his worried mind,
Giles! Where is he? What happened? Caritas. Vampires. A gun.

Fighting the pain that seemed to be engulfing his entire body, he headed back into Caritas depsite the fact he was in no fit state to be walking into another fight. But he wasn't. The place was empty. Desserted. No sign of Giles, in fact, no sign that anyone had been there. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him. Maybe it was a dream? But no, it was real, the amps were still switched on. Humming softly. He leaned on one of the large black amps, running his hand through his blood-dried hair, trying to piece together what he knew.

It had looked like the vamps where a part of a gang, something had brought them all there. At least one of them was more than adequately armed. They must have got Giles. And the demon, the demon was gone. He tried to remember what had happened.

Why he had awoken outside? What had happened?

The more he tried to remember, the less he was certain of and the more afraid he became. He was just Oz, he couldn't do this alone, he needed help.

He returned outside to his van and opened the backdoors, soon locating his backpack, he pulled out a small notepad. He opened it. A list of names and phone numbers.
Buffy. Angel. Willow. Xander. Dawn. Faith. Wesley. Giles...
He strolled across the car park to a phone box in the distance. The sun had set, he felt nervous just standing there. He searched his pockets until he found some quarters and then started calling through the numbers, hoping someone would answer, hoping someone could help.....

Faith was about to turn the corner that led her to her favorite local night club when she felt a unexpected vibrating sensation coming from inside her back pocket. Frozen on her tracks She stood there for the first few seconds, unsure of what it was until her brain registered and swiftly surpassed the drug and alcohol abuse its been enduring lately.

Willow was lying in bed with a vampire - she couldn’t remember his name, he was one of the new ones and oh-so-delectable - when the phone beside her bed rang.

“What is it?” she whined.
“They‘re ready,” said a man’s voice on the other end of the line.

Willow got up, not bothering to wrap the covers around her. She stalked across the room picking up the clothes she had shed earlier and slipped them on. The dark red, lace-covered corset showed off the curve of her breasts and the black leather pants she was so fond of fit snugly on her butt. She ruffled her hair with her long pale fingers and left the room.

In the next wing of the factory two guard vamps opened the double doors leading to a large room. Inside, in about two dozen cages were werewolves of various sizes and shades. As she observed the room, a smile played at her lips. She strolled down an isle of the room and traced her fingers along the edges of the cages. The wolves watched her with steady dark eyes but not one made a sound, making her smile turn into a grin.

The little man was standing at the other end of the large room. As she approached, he took small, quick steps towards her. With his hands held close to his thin frame he said,

“Heh…hi…Willow.”

Willow stared at him expectantly for a while and when he didn’t respond she added,

“Well?”

“Oh!” said the man, startled. Willow inhaled deeply and rolled her eyes.

“Err…the inhibitor collars are working as planned but the…the err…well, they still have to be injected every 6 hours to keep them from…Changing. ” he said almost tripping over his words.

“But they take orders just fine?”

At the frantic nodding of the man Willow smiled sweetly. Things were finally taking shape.

“That‘s good enough. We take them out tonight.”

Faith had once told Buffy she didn’t swing that way but truth be told She had a big thing for the females. She liked them blond, petite and breasted just like Sunshine whose currently dancing for her. She knew Sunshine from a few other clubs they worked at together in the past. So it’s a bit of a over statement to say that she’s her friend, only more of a work mate. They did favours for each other, most of which include free dances and fucking when the mood hit. That probably means she might as well be Bi. But she never wanted to come out with it in certain situations. Since the people she was with at the time would have gotten the wrong end of the stick, although she’s mostly quite comfortable with the whole thing.

Sunshine is amazing. Not better than herself of course but still she held her own. Faith liked her breast- yeah sure they are as fake as the next, but the hell with that when they looked all soft and ripe as they bounced to the beat, then came her flat tummy and curved waist as they swayed seductively but what Faith loved about the blond was her legs, how they went on for miles.

Sunshine could have any man, dead or alive coming back for more. Day after day or night after night. Its A skill not many woman have. Hell. Not every girl can have a man droll like a mad dog in mating season, Make him hand over his well earned pennies just so they can watch a routine he had seen a thousand times over. Not all woman can actually use their body to get herself what she wants and needs without actually handing him over her heart.

Faith figured. Selling your body, flaunting your body as a way of getting by is much better than Sleeping with a fuck who offers you nothing but lies after lies and the occasional pocket money-Well that’s after you have sex with him of course. As one otta pray all the way that he doesn’t kick her to the curb with nothing but a broken heart and a abused vagina. Girls like her and Sunshine Can walk away with his money in the end of the day or night while leaving him with nothing but a huge Bonner. Now whose taking advantage of who in this little game?

Faith turned away from Sunshine’s breast so to study the room. Her eyes caught sight of OZ who seemed to be amazingly uncomfortable. She smirked and waved a hand up. “Hey!…Ozy boy. Over here”

'Are you busy? Could we talk?' he said uneasyily.
Faith looked at him in a way that said it all, if you want something talk now.

'Giles might be dead. Or possibly just kidnapped. I'm not sure.'

Faith chuckled at the look in the Wolf’s face. Sunshine also seemed to have picked up on it and was smiling like the mischievous pussy cat she was. “Want me to go Faith.babes?“ She asked, tone soft and deliberately sexy. Faith looked up at her work mate and bit her lips. “I’ll give you a call when I get some dosh. Yea.” In return Sunshine leaned over and shamelessly kissed Faith.

Getting the hint Faith darted her tongue into the other girls mouth, puling her closer with both hands as their tongues dance with mutual desire and intent. Soon Both girls began moaning, exhibiting the clearly visible pink tongues that went well with their comfortably soft, wet and messy kiss. When they bouth felt that they had enough men staring and dribbling, including Oz’s undivided attention- They stopped and Sunshine managed to greet Oz with a “nice to meet you” Before walking away towards a loud of desperate men eagerly waiting to hand over their money.

Faith glanced over at Oz, pulling out a cigarette. “Sit down then!” She lit it and took a long drag before continuing. “Dead. Kidnapped. Whatever… just wanna know who I need to kill?”

She breathed out the smoke and raised a brow in question “OK. She ran her hands through her rustled dark hair and turned back to Darla., her red lips pursed together as if she was in thought. “Angelus?” She asked with a raised eyebrow when she had a few moments to take in what the blonde vampire was saying. “Since when did Angel go all dark side?” She sniggered, knowing the vampire with a soul was all about the good fight…or so he use to be. “Now don’t tell me Angels gone and lost that pesky little sul of his” She added with a chuckle, as she moved back towards Darla. “So ok, maybe you for now and offer me something, and since im free for the next few hours I might as well see what it really is you want to do” She said, not giving into Darla as such, but she was full of cryptic clues and if something was going down, Lilah wanted in. This time she was going to make sure it was her team that won.

Cordelia raised her looked to glance over at Connor. He really had changed…or maybe he was just how he should be. Cordelia wasn’t sure. She knew growing up where he did messed him up…but then she had also seen his other side. The tender side, the side that loved her and the baby she once carried. But all that was in the past, and that’s where Cordelia was happy to keep it. Even thought she had no control over what she did when she was brought back to Earth after her time as a higher being, but she still felt guild over what she did to Connor. She used him in away, she knew that. “No I think you’ve done everything you can” She said and stood up, and brushed down her expensive Gucci dress and then ran an hand down her very long dark hair, smoothing it. “I think im gonna go try some place….better to stay” She told him. “No offence…this stuff may have worked for me…for us….when I was all amnesia gal…but now…” She shook her head. “Im not that girl anymore”

Darla stopped and smiled as she heard the other woman say her beloveds name-Her boy really does know his way around woman and she loves him for it. She replaced the cunning expression with a mutual one before turning to face the other woman. She simply smirked as a response to the soul question, to be honest she wasn't too sure if the soul existed or not, all she knew was that her boy was killing and thoughtfully getting in touch with his inner demon, so that’s better than nothing.

Tonight she had sent William to stand by a street corner that his grand sire happen to travelled on often. She was sure William standing there like a pretty little whore would still intrigue Angelus into beating or fucking him senseless. Cause she knows for a fact her boy can’t resist having William’s tight little English ass sticking up and If that didn’t work, William’s mouth never let anyone down, so yet again his lovely ass will be sticking up, either due to beats or fuck. It doesn’t really matter, Angelus would still be coming home tonight.

Darla smiled whist watching Lilah approach her once more “Well. I always knew I liked you for more than your body” She then turned expecting Lilah to fallow suite and began walking. After a moment of silence she smirked and said “Curiosity is a woman first sin. And then I believe its closely fallowed by Lust” She glanced over at Lilah “Angelus will be yours for the taking” She told Lilah. “When he comes home tonight. You’ll be able to satisfy both of those lil itchy sin’s you seem to harbour.” Darla smirked, mostly to herself. “I’ll let you have him for three days. While that time you can do whatever you please with him” She ran a hand through her hair and licked her lips as the ideas rushed through her mind. “that is of Corse...with the exception of staking. Otherwise you can hurt him as much as you please” She kept walking, certain he was going to enjoy this. "I'll teach you a thing or two about real power. Sweetness.” She added as a after though.

Spike raised his head, turning his attention away from his cigarette for a moment.

"You never were very good at that whole "pithy comeback" lark, were you?" he said cheekily.

He went to puff on his cig, only to find it had been blown out by the wind. He reached inside his jacket and produced his zippo lighter, which completely failed to light when he clicked it one with his thumb. He tried it a number of times, shook it, tried it again, blew some imaginary dust out of the flint and tried it again, before eventually giving up and replacing it inside his jacket.

"Damn. Don't suppose you've got a light have you?"

Vi extruded a box of matches from his jacket pocket, struck one, and lit the girl's cigarette.

He smiled at her again, simply oozing charisma, as if to say "I know precisely where your face is".

He glanced at his wrist watch. It was around 2pm. It had taken him about four hourse to cross the city on foot, and he had stalked around Vampville for a good hour and a half before he had bumped into the girl. She was rummaging in her purse for something.

"Now is not the time to do your makeup" he said, handing her a stake. "You know how to use one of these, yes?"

Angel watched the bleach blond fiddle with his zippo before-after some effort- giving in. He watched with a blank expression flat on his face but inside he was flashing a goofy smile while really needing to smack the boy at the back of the head, but-thanks to some sort of miracle-he managed to restrain himself.

In response to Spike's question, the tall brunet dug his hands in his pocket and produced a beautiful silver Zippo of his own while automatically reaching over with his other hand and snatching Spike's cigarette. He popped it between his lips, thoughtfully lit it and took a long savory drag- even going as far as closing his eyes.

He haven't smoked for two days, since he simply had other things in mind but whenever he got to smoke-It really, really made him feel good. So after a moment of bliss he breathed out a cloud smoke as he finally acknowledged Spike who probably wasn't feeling the same and judging by the younger vampire's face- he really wasn't.

“What?” Angel faked his innocence miserably just as intended.

Oz thought for a moment. Trying to concentrate despite the strong smell of dancing girls that overwhelmed his sensitive nostrils. And then it hit him, though thankfully not literally. Vi. A half-demon that Oz had had the misfortune to meet sometime ago. Vi has somewhat of a reputation around LA nowadays but that didn't matter, he still owed Oz a favour and now seemed the perfect time to call it in. Though Oz had little idea of how to locate him, he hoped Faith would.
'You know a guy by the name of Vitor something-or-other Calderuz, no Calderon?' he asked, sounding uncertain of the creature's identity himself.
'I'm sure he could help, if only I knew how to find him...'

By Faith's smile anyone would have mistaken it for acknowledgment but then words slipped out from her parted lips as her doe eyes widened a slight. “That sounds fucking hot!” She bit her lips and sank deeper into her chair with legs wide open. “Is it French?” husky voice asked in a hath smile.

After a moment of feeding on the poor shy boy's horror- Wolf or not she knew she scared him, not in the Bad slayer-killing sort of way, bit more like choke in your own saliva with shock sort of fear. Inhaling deeply with ripe, overspilling breast rising and falling slowly she gets back to the conversation in hand “Nope. Cause if I did He'll probably be dead or naked in my closet” and she blinked at Oz's last words, Licking her lips. "Sounds like he can certainly help"

After another pornographic flash she added. "We can always ask the girls out in the street. Mean. Us bitches know everything that wroth knowing, man..” She proudly took another brag and asked “So does this French dude like hookers?"

'Spanish. And it really wouldn't suprise me,' replied Oz somewhat distracted by Faith.

She intriguied him in a way that he would never admit. In the back of his mind he could head Willow's voice warning him off, as she put it, the psychopathic superbitch. He could still remember all too well the fact that he had once watched Faith holding Willow hostage with a knife to her throat. But that was long ago. She had changed..right? Oz bit his lip.

'So, lets hit the street?'

Spike looked at the older vampire darkly for a moment, severely unimpressed by Angel's fag-stealing tactics. He knew he was just trying to wind him up, but it was working nonetheless.

He rolled his eyes and looked off into the middle distance, a little away to his left, before engaging Angel again, this time minus the cigarette.

"Actually, I'm rather glad you turned up. See..I got me a little problem..."

Lorne woke on the floor of a dingy basement, with the late evening light filtering through one tiny, grimy window away to his left. His head was pounding, and he felt fuzzy. Lying on his front, he attempted to prop himself up on his elbows, failed, and flopped miserably back onto the floor.

"Ohh boy...I need to lay off the tequila..."

Looking around again, he noticed a body on the other side of the room.

"Oh god...oh god, please no..."

He got up onto his knees and sidled the short distance over to the the silent figure.

Up close, Lorne could see he was an older guy. Maybe in his late forties, early fifties. He looked very peaceful in his involuntary repose, but Lorne felt inclined to attempt to wake him all the same.

Shaking the man by his shoulders elicited no response, so Lorne began gently slapping his face.

"Yo...hey, sleeping beauty. This is no time for a nap!"

Spying a bucket in the corner of the room, he walked over to it. It had been collecting rainwater. Along with a few leaves, and the odd creepy-crawly.

"Ew..." he said, picking it up, before walking over to the uncoscious man and hurling the water over his face.

Giles gasped as the cold water brought him back into waking world. Almost immediately he locked eyes with the green demon and got to his feet, backing away.
'Great, I've been sent into the Lions' den,' he said in reference to the biblical story of Daniel, 'You can't hurt me. I was a watcher. I trained with the slayer.' he continued, trying to gain control of the situation that he percieved as being a fairly dangerous one.

Something inherently British told him that being locked in a room with a demon could never be good. He picked up the bucket that Lorne had dropped and used it to take several swings in the general direction of the demon.
'Stay away!' he called out. He shifted around the room, all the time facing Lorne standing in the middle. His free hand feeling the wall as he sidestepped, trying to locate an exit.

Faith crunched her cigarette on the sofa's arm and jumped up. “Right. Then.” She began towards the door. “Spanish I like...too” She glared over her shoulder and wiggled her ass. “They like it hard and Dirty” She walked as though she owned the place and in this parts she probably did.

She span around and started walking backwards as soon as they exited the club “There was this Spanish dude I fucked once.” She smirked at the memory “He was all- Puta...pira--something...and some other Spanish crap as he shoved his fat dick in my face and yanked my hair like” She turned around again and began towards a girl with bright red hair and asked Oz loudly. “Isn't that romantic.” She chucked “All foren dudes are romantic....be it French or Spanish. It's All the same!” She then smiled sweetly at the girl “All MOTHER FUCKING ASS.HOLES WITH AN ACCENT!” She ran a hand through he hair, dropped her hips to the side and raised a perfect brow at the fellow hooker who was smiling at her earlier statement “Seen one lately. Red?”

The girl creased her brows together, obviously thinking. “A Mother fucking ass.hole with an accent?” Faith nodded as the girl echoed her words and after another small silence the red Head's face lit up. “Um. Jessica just told me...that a Spanish Mother fucking ass.hole is trying to do in a lil wide eyed slut from out of town” She smiled “and Tanica just seen them in a Alleyway thats about two hours from here. You know. The one that Diana died in” Faith smiled knowing what the girl was on about but in response her informer immediately pouted “Careful Faith. This one is a bit sturdy and a BIG ass.hole...The real romantic type...IF you get my drift.” She sneered recalling the stories the other girls told “He really likes his pretty Spanish words.” She rolled her eyes “Like we don't know what those fucking mean!”

“Yeah” Faith smiled and looked over to OZ “Sounds like your boy?” Then she returned her attention to the girl “Is his name Victor?” The girl nodded, happy to help. So Faith bit her lips and winked at the girl. “Thanks”

She span around and began toward Oz's van. “Guess he does like Hookers!”

Lorne stepped back a little to escape the flailing bucket, and rolled his eyes.

"Honey, put the bucket down. You don't suit the macho-commanding look. Besides, if I was going to hurt you, don't you think I would've done it while you were out cold?"

He let this information sink in for a moment.

"There ya go. The name's Lorne, sweetcheeks. And you are?"

The two ex-scooby gang members clambered into Oz's worn out van. Oz felt as though he couldn't be anymore different from the slayer. She was wearing more gothic clothes than the werewolf who was going for the 'college' look, her hair was naturally darker and she was always displaying a naughtiness in her personality that would Oz would never embrace except for behind closed doors. The van started up with a noise that echoed the beginings of the thunder storm that was darkening the sky, 'It's getting old,' he explained.

The pair drove across the city, Oz almost silent the whole trip apart from the odd reply and forced laught to Faith's constant barrage of off-topic conversation. He was glad that the journey was going so smoothly. On his way into the city with Giles he had been forced to run over several vampires who seemed under the impression that they were anything other than speedbumps to him. They came to a stop. Killed the enginge. Rain pounded down on the van.
'There,' Oz said in a matter-of-fact manner and flicked his headlights onto full beam, illuminating two figures ahead of the van. Vi and...no, is that? Yes it is. Dawn!
