Friends, Lovers and Significant Others

Ok this is thread about whom you'd be friends with in the Verse. It could also be who you'd date or whom you would dislike.

For me

On Buffy: I'd be friends with Willow I think, the rest I'd get along with but perhaps wouldn't be that close. Buffy would be like a big sister though I guess.

I wouldn't date anyone on Buffy either.

On Angel: I'd be friends with Fred. She seems warm and can make an outsider feel welcome.

I would have dated Virginia Bryce because she seems funny and smart. Also she does like getting involved with guys who dedicate their lives to fighting evil which is fine by me because I wouldn't be that guy.

On Buffy, no question that Xander and I would be best friends. Poor Xander needed a guy around. I would have hit on pretty much any female scoobie, up to and including Dawn. There wouldn't have been a wrong answer on the dating side.

On Angel, eh, I'd definitely have a crush on Fred, but I don't think I'd even get along with most of the others, except for Gunn and maybe Wes.

I'd definitely try to be good friends with all the core Scoobies (Buffy, Xander, Willow, Dawn), but might not get along well with Giles - especially early-seasons Giles who really was the "stuck-up tight-ass with no sense of fun." He always seemed a bit stuffy and his only redeeming quality for me was the dry humor and sarcasm he brought. I'd definitely not try to date any of them, it would kind of disrupt the tight friendship and as a newcomer it would probably be frowned upon anyway. And there would be some sort of silent competition with Willow over who could be the most nerdy.

On Buffy, I might well be friends with Dawn, since, like her, I tend to feel, think, act, and be treated like a kid. Also, I was once best friends with my roommate Chris, who had same "tough yet sensitive" layers to his personality that Spike has. I could possibly be friends with Spike. And I'd fit right into the Trio. I'm geeky like them, and I would have no more objection than Andrew did to becoming a part their super-villainy. ;)

I'd totally have crushes on Cordelia and Harmony (human version and vamp version :cool: ). Girls like that would hardly tend to see me as boyfriend material, but at the same time, they have usually found it just as easy to be affectionate toward me as they would toward a dog or cat. And hey, I'll still be around, and think they're hot, when the high-school popularity structure crumbles and ceases to have any impact on my chances of scoring with them. :eviltail: If Xander was able to hook up with Cordelia, Faith, and Anya, I'd think that I'd have the same kind of occasional success as he did. :1poke:

Well, I would probably be good friends with Tara/Xander (Of course since Tara is a lesbian and Xander is straight then neither of them would be relationship with me, and since I am straight too Xander defiently out of the question), I can imagine being friends with Buffy/Willow and possible Giles/Dawn, but I have no idea about Spike/Anya.

Um in Angel, I can imagine being good friends with Fred, possible Gunn/Wesley, maybe Angel (Not sure) and sort of Cordelia (Not Season 1 Buffy Cordelia thought)

On Buffy, I'd for sure be friends with Willow....we are very much alike...all the way to Dark Willow! I'd probably want to murder Dawn & Anya - I hate whiners.......

I could chill with Faith before she turned homicidal - she was fresh and funny.

I'd probably fall asleep a soon as Giles mentioned the word "book."

No romance, but I'd love hanging out with Spike.

On Angel - The evolved Cordy and I would absolutely be friends. And I'd love to try to live through a friendship with Illyria!

I'd probably run screaming from the room everytime Fred opened her mouth.

Sadly... I think of all the Buffyverse characters Giles and I would probably get on the best. *sigh* I suppose I should just resign myself to the stuffy old farts club. Giles and I could definitely be friends though.

Nah... I might get on with Tara... There are several points of common history between us. My family pretty much sucked too. Almost in the same way. They are a vague memory to me now... Hey and lesbian...but I'm willing to admit that I'd be shopping well outside my price range with any of the characters on the show. I'm 15 years to old for all of them except Buffy...in her case I'm 200 years too young and a bit too human/ female. :err:

Post chip Spike and I would get on but I'd probably spend too much of my time giving him a ration of hades for it to last. Besides...I hate Knightrider.

In Angel's world I wouldn't have a single chance. I just despise him too much to put up with the whiny, loser, pretty boy game. I'd tell him to urinate up a tree and he'd show me the door.

On Firefly... Kaylee... I happen to love machines myself. I like them better than 95% of the people I meet and they do talk to me. So... Natural fit.

Willow would so be my best friend. I actually had a friend that reminded me so much of Willow in high school. Xander would be my buddy as well. Who wouldn't want someone that cute and funny as a friend. But I'd probably end up like him and Willow, and making with the accidental smooches.
When it comes to a lover...well I think we would see the whole Buffy/Angel thing again. I have a thing for bad boys...though I didn't marry one. Angel...tall, dark, and handsome...mmm. Dangerous, completely wrong for me, and way too old. Yup. just my type.
I would so try to avoid Cordelia pre-LA. She was so mean and she would have been the kind of person who would pick on a person like me...smart and not so popular.

Lol, what others are left when you eliminate Fred, Wes, and Gunn? You might as well just say you wouldn't get along with Cordy and Angel! (Or Lorne too, depending on the season). :lol:

Like others, I'd be friends with Willow I think (both insane about grades--"A-? Noooooo!" and such), maybe Tara as well. On Angel Fred, maybe Wes, and perhaps reformed Cordy. I can't imagine dating any of them, though...they all belong to other characters! :lol: Maybe less dorky!Wes, I like a smart man....;)

Wes and Gunn are both maybes. I really didn't like Gunn at all in Season 5.

BtVS: I'm sure I'll be attracted to Xander. I have a feeling he won't return my feelings. So I don't mind having him as a buddy. Though I KNOW we'd fight a lot. My fragile ego may not stand a chance against Xander's sarcasm. Willow is easy to be friends with, especially in the early seasons. I think I'll get along nice with Buffy, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable around her. Oz will totally be my buddy. I know for a fact that I won't like Spike and Faith, I don't usually like hanging out with people who try to act tough and cool, they annoy me. I think I'll get along with Dawn just fine, I'd probably prefer her company better than Buffy's. I'll stay far away from Anya, I'm quite insecure and frank people scare me. I'd warm up to Tara easily.

AtS: I'm not sure I'd be attracted to anyone... probably Gunn, after I get to know him. I think I'd be friends with Fred, and mature Cordelia. Clumsy Wesley will win my heart easily, but I'll pass on Dark Wesley. I'm attracted to fun people, not broody ones. Once I get over my fear of demons, I might spend all my time at Lorne's club.

I really didn't like Gunn at all in Season 5.
Honestly, who does! :rolleyes: The characters all took a dive in season 5....

I don't know if I'd want to date Dark!Wes either, as sexy as he is, but maybe season 3 Wes before the kidnapping....

I forgot about Dawn--we might be friends as well, or not if Janice is an indication of the kinds of peopel she hangs out with....

And Lorne seems like the kind of guy who wiould be friendly to anyone who was an okay person....maybe him too!

Well, in high school I was the "chameleon" so I suppose it might work in on BtVS as well. Whoever was missing a member of their clique that day - I would just fill in till they came back. I would probably be friends with the C4, but secretly hang with Faith until she started getting "really" bad. I would have had an incredible crush on Spike - but we would have never dated. *sigh* Lots of crazy flirting - maybe a make-out session or two...or... But Oz would have been the guy I REALLY wanted to go out with.

Angel... It would not have taken me as long as it did Cordy to find Doyle attractive!! Fred and I would have been friends first. The guys... Hmm... I probably would have befriended Wesley and Gunn. But of course when Spike showed up ...

On Buffy - I'd be buddies with Willow or Tara. Not because of the lesbian thing, but because I think I would just get along with them best. Buffy is too strong a personality for me. I'm a more sensitive one and I think it would clash. I think I would also be friends with Giles.

On Angel - Fred. I love her. She's exactly how I am, except she's WAY smarter in the whole physics and math area.

Honestly, I don't know why. Buffy is my favorite female character in the Jossverse. But meeting her in real life would be different. I guess... she's be avoidy around me and secretive... she's not as social as Xander and Willow who have plenty of friends outside the Scoobies circle. That will probably stand in the way of us having fun. Also, I have more in common with Willow and Dawn, which is why I'm going to get along better with them. I love reading, and like Willow, I write fanfic. Buffy is more of a person who does cool things like dancing and dating, that's not me.


My answer is what I'm gonna feel when meeting these people for the first time in real life. Because I love Spike much better than Tara, actually I'm not a big fan of Tara, but I know when I come face to face with both of them, I'd rather hang with Tara than Spike.

I agree--Buffy is nice to watch, but I don't know if we'd have much in common--I mean, she's never even read Harry Potter! :p ;) At least I could talk abotu HP with Dawn, and probably Willow....

I think I could get a long with Willow, Xander, Buffy, Angel and Cordelia the best.

I love Buffy so anything she does would please me and I sympathise with what she has to go through so I think I'd stick up for her no matter what.

Willow because I think she is adorable and I get a long with girls like that really easily, and she is pretty open to new people so I could get along with her quite well.

Xander because as KoC said, he needs more male friends :roll: I think I could get along with him, except he is quite touchy around new male members of the group and I'm not the most open person to new people either; perhaps we'll have something in common?

Cordelia- I actually am friends with girls who others consider bitchy :confused: I always seem to be friends with them that "less popular" (not my opinion) girls do not like. I always see a caring and nice side to them that others don't see and find their bitchy comments kind of funny if they don't intentionally hurt anyone's feelings. I think I could get along with Cordy great.

Angel: I respect him, what he has been through and think his dry humour is great. I also tend to fall into broodiness as well so I think we'd have something in common there and I just think he'd be a really great guy to hang out with and talk too if you get the chance to know him.

I forgot about Lorne, I would probably be good friends with him, and I am especially used to nicknames, Bananna, Chick Magnet (Seriously), Chandog (Or something like that), There was another one but I can't remeber. I rather not say the other one (I highly doubt Lorne would say it thought)

And now I think about it, I used to love reading books so I probably would be at home with Giles;)

Me and Lorne would hit it off real well! :drinking: He's so nice and personable. Definitely Lorne. I see a lot of myself in him. Now it makes sense why he's one of my fave characters.

I don't know how much I have in common with the other characters. Cordelia The Later Years and I would be pretty tight, I think. But not early Cordy. She's way too vapid and vain then. And I could probably be friends with post-Troika Andrew. He's such a geek but man, he would get on well with people I know! I have a couple friends that own a comic book shop; Andrew would be in heaven!

Considering my age, I'm sure I'd get along fine with Giles and Joyce. With Giles, because I love the smell of books too! And yes I read them too.:) And With Joyce because I'm a mother too. I may not agree with her on some issues but she did her best with what she had.

Regarding the younger ones: Well I really have a soft spot for all of them meaning Buffy, Angel, Willow, Xander, Oz, Cordy, Tara (yes, warts and all!) okay even Spike!! I'll gladly cook good meals for them because all I see them eat seem to be cereals, pancake and PJ samdwiches. Except of course for Spike nd Angel, I don't have recipe for blood:D

On Ats: I love them all and I think I'll get along well with Cordy and Fred. Believe it or not I have close friends their age .
