So cycle 11 started a few weeks back. And though the first episode was a joke... And stupid... and over the top... You know what I mean...

But week two was pretty good and gives me great hope for this cycle. The girls are pretty interesting and it looks like ALOT of drama will be hitting the fan. With Isis and Hannah and all that other chitter chatter.

So far my favorite is Elina. She is just stunning. I also like Sheena and wish she'd be less slutty!

I can't wait for the make-overs!!! Those are the most fun to watch! And see the girls just freaking flip out.

My favorite this cycle is Marjorie :heart: I like Analeigh, Elina and Isis as well.

I am so sick of Hannah already. How many times is she going to say she's just from a small town with no electricity or whatever? WE GET IT, YOU'RE FROM A SMALL TOWN! It's no excuse for being obnoxious :down:

I actually really like the look of most of the girls this cycle, which I haven't since cycle 2! They all have interesting looks which could completely work!

The two girls I am having trouble with this cycle, look-wise, are Samantha and Clark. They just don't do it for me at all :(

And it bothers me that they focus so much on Elina being gay. Or bi, whatever. They did it with Kim (c5) as well and it's so annoying that these girls will admit to having partly entered the competition to pick up girls :down:

Funny thing is though, Kim was kept for quite a while in her cycle, whereas in cycle 7 the girl who were gay, but didn't flaunt it, was sent home after 3 rounds or something. And she was not the worst girl of the bunch. Sad, sad... just cos she didn't cause drama and kissed all the girls in the house :rolleyes:

Anyway, I am also looking forward to the makeovers! Did they say something about chopping Clarks hair off? Or was that Samanthas? Either way I think there shall be DRAMAAAZ :err: :roll:

Oh most definitely not. I just remember they mentioned her in the background of the photo last cycle, and they pointed out how they had invited her to audition for the show.
So I am sure that her spot in the top 14, especially once they found out she was transgender, was pretty much a certain.

Having said that, I doubt she will win.

Another thing that bothers me a bit is how there isn't a plus-size model this cycle. There's been one (even 2 at times) in every cycle since the first one and Tyra always makes a point of telling us how she loves plus size models.

Last cycle a plus size model won. And now it's like they don't need to include them any more because one has won? On the other hand, it's been bothering me that they just HAD to have a plus size model, like it was almost a requirement, even if they weren't the best models at all.

There is kinda odd trends. Like they have a quota they gotta meet or something. Like one odd ethnic (outside white or black), but I think since they have a transvestit, they kinda filled that quota or something like that.

I guess it is all about the characters and it HAS to be. I mean if you watch Canada's Next Top Model they tried to make it all about the modeling and that is why it is no longer on air :roll:

I guess I just think its a bit unfair. In the first episode there are a few VERY pretty girls who could have gone so far, but instead people with more "personality" and not as much potential got through...

I watched the cycle 11 second episode for the first time and I loved it. I really like this season!!! I skipped cycle 9 and 10. I cant believe I even bothered watching it , but i loved every minute of this one. I just think that all the girls are different from each other and its really cool and different to see a transgender person on this show.

As I was watching the show I fell in love with three girls. Analeigh, Isis, and Elina. I think they're awesome and I love how Analeigh is so opened minded and calm and always wants to get to know the other girls better. Also she isn’t bias towards the other girls if their arguing with each other. She doesn’t pick sides and hears everybody sides. I love her and she’s BEAUTIFUL!!!! And if I was Isis I would have drowned that bitch Hannah in the hot tub. JK!!! I wouldn’t do that but I don’t like Hannah, she small minded and annoying. So are the other girls besides the three I named.

Okay so another good episode. I think we are getting a strong season...

Except for Tyra's over the top weirdness... What the hell was up with the apple? And that mirror thing v.v. god... Its kinda wrecking any seriousness to the series and I am rather sick of it. Episode 1's future thing was weird but this...

I hope Tyra gets over it...

Back to the episode. The make-overs were not as bad as they have been. Alot of the girls really didn't change and just got slightly longer hair haha. I LOVE Elina's new hair, she looks so good as a redhead. Same goes with Samantha (she looks so mature now). Clark still looks kinda bad... the dark hair so does not work and usually it does.

Also... god do we have to keep getting reminded about Isis? WE GET IT! If we are going to be retold every episode I am going to be sick. It is such a marketing plow.

Sad to see Brittnay go, she was actually a rather good model. I would have liked seen Analeigh go. (Oh does anyone else think she looks like Michelle Trachtenberg/Dawn?)

I really loved Elina's red hair. Much better than Britney's two cycles ago, her was dreadful :blink:

My favorite makeover was actually Lauren Brie's it made her look so much more like a model. I liked Samantha's too, it made me like her more. Marjorie's was also cute but not that much different besides the color. I think she could rock any color to be honest :heart:

I don't like Clark at all blond or brunette but I do think the darker hair suits her *shrugs* I don't really care, she's my least favorite of the bunch at this point. Yeah, I even rate her below Hannah :lol:

I actually agree with you on the Michelle T thing, but only really in that one photo. Not in person or any of her other photos...

OK so now I've spent half of the day (haha how sad) watching all episodes aired so far (because someone reminded me) and the first things that strike me are:

1. What is UP with Tyra? I mean we get that the show is made to be a weekly praise of Tyra Banks but she's getting freakier with every single cycle.:roll: I bet people can't even do anything about it since she's the producer :D

2. The show has finally gotten back some of the UMPH! it had some cycle back. To me the balloon-challenge was one of the best ones yet, absolutely loved it. I like how they seem to be raising the bar a bit this cycle, the preview for the next episode challenge looks exciting!:2party:

3. So far my favourites are Elina (the new hair! :heart:) Lauren Brie and Marjorie and I really hope they or at least one of them stay for a long while :D

I've long ago resigned myself to tyra's craziness...woman is insane! Mostly I watch the show for the pretty pictures. I love the makeovers, and I really love seeing the girls model and seeing how their pictures turn out. I know it's not really like modeling but...I've gotten this real facination with the modeling world after I started watching a few years ago and now antm is my trashy show of choice.

I was worried about elina's makeover but I think it worked really well...I was very ambivalent towards her at the start cuz I do not generally care for people who are all about making a statement about animal rights/vegan/gender/whatever. But she's really grown on me. Plus it's nice to see a lesbian, word! Who was the lesbian in cycle 7??

I'm looking forward to being able to see the episode tomorrow...

WOW. Double eviction!! That was an intense episode! I was so afraid both times that Sam would be out... Luckly she was all safe and hopefully will understand what she did wrong and will learn and keep strong.

Challenge 1:
The catwalk was okay. Not as interesting as some of the other ones have been (like the disco one, I beleive they were on skates or something weird like that and one fell!) It was still interesting with the blindfolds I really thought Hannah was gunna fall off :lol: but she did have a horrid walk and I was kinda glad to see her leave. She did bring up a good point early on in the episode about how the girls were taking the critics WAY to seriously. They gotta let it go. Hannah was never that pretty to me and she really never had good photos so I am glad she was chosen to leave cause the others have so much potential.

Challenge 2:
Ah now this was interesting. I think when Nigel Barker does the photos the girls do alot better cause like Mr.J said they all just flirt with him :lol: I was shocked and Line don`t hurt me when I say... Clark was actually really good this photoshoot. I think Lauren Bre shoulda got first call, but Clark was worth the first call to (for the first time) I still don`t want her to win and I cant stand her, but she did do one good photo!

Now I felt bad for Elina, from top to bottom... I think she just has to let go and even though I love her, she is way to controlling of her body and mind... It may cost her the prize in the end. Sam was pretty good as well and I think she was only in the bottom two to learn a lesson. I don`t wanna say I am glad Isis is gone, but I think if she is having so much trouble trying to keep her secret hidden, that it is just too much. She wanted it so bad that she let everything just cave ontop of her...


Next week looks so amazing. With that monster in the photoshoot! I am hoping for superheroes, they`ve done it before but it was flying superheroes, so just like ground superheroes will be kinda fun too see.

I have to say, I was a bit glad that Isis went home...I was bored with her story, which they kept bringing up again and again, and of the people with bad photos/walks, she was my least favorite. The whole smile with your eyes thing is so over done, and I like big giant photoshoots with cool costumes as well as cool makeup...and I can't believe that Clark got the best photo (actually, I think analeigh's, Sam's, and lauren brie's were better, but whatever). I really don't like Clark. She annoys me greatly and I think she's a shit model...I wish she'd've got a crap photo and gone home! *shrug*

I think Lauren Brie should have been called first and then Clark... I am really starting to like Lauren Brie a lot even though we don't really see much of her outside of panel/photoshoots.

For that alone she should be sent home.) I still think Isis has had no real spark the past two episodes... it was the right decision although I wish it hadn't been...

I read somewhere that the J's really like McKey... and that they have been dropping hints on who will be the winner all through the cycle so far, but most have been edited out. Which leads me to believe that when they DO mention McKey, it's one of those hints... they mention how much they like her, quite a lot. Much more than I would like.

I do like her face but something about it bothers me, I don't know what exactly yet....

I am also worried abotu Lauren Brie not having too much screen time. I am sure they will turn on her and say "you started out so FIERCE and now you're just standing still... not evolving" blah blah blah, just as an excuse to send her home, because she's not causing enough drama :rolleyes:

True. She was so much more interesting than her twin. Plus, I like to think that she sacrificed herself for her twin when she went home...she made out like she didn't know why she was there or whether or not she wanted to be a model, because she knew she took a better picture than her sister and she knew her sister wanted it more.


I read somewhere that the J's really like McKey... and that they have been dropping hints on who will be the winner all through the cycle so far, but most have been edited out. Which leads me to believe that when they DO mention McKey, it's one of those hints... they mention how much they like her, quite a lot. Much more than I would like.

I do like her face but something about it bothers me, I don't know what exactly yet....
McKey bothers the heck out of me in person, but she does seem to take really great photos. She's just weird and awkward in person, and has yet to show any real personality despite getting more screen time than Lauren Brie.

I also love how this comment shows that the judges know who's going to win before they even start the contest! pah! it's such a ridiculous thing. And still I watch...
I am also worried abotu Lauren Brie not having too much screen time. I am sure they will turn on her and say "you started out so FIERCE and now you're just standing still... not evolving" blah blah blah, just as an excuse to send her home, because she's not causing enough drama :rolleyes:

This is true...I always try to find out whether some contestants are still modeling...I heard shannon from one ofthe early cycles is...but I really wanted Jenna from cycle 9 to be successful. They were so awful when they voted her off, and the other girls were so mean to her...

I did not like her before but I really do hate her now. With a fiery passion. She was SO incredibly mean to Marjorie. I'm sorry that not everyone are loud, over-the-top, clueless, blond bimbos like you. And the fact that she actually said "this is america" or whatever, just really rubs me the wrong way. YES I know it's America's Next Top Model but I still think that was such an ignorant and DUMB thing to say. (Maybe I've already had my pride violated today, but I actually totally get the way Marjorie reacts. It's not uncommon to be timid and to respond badly to compliments/criticism.)

I am so angry that she was lucky and her stupid water movements actually turned out the best picture this week. She was lucky at that because she is one of those girls who are a bit too "wild" on set and who has no real clue what they're doing, that it may aswell have turned into a disaster.. she could have fallen down or something :lol:

I don't think Marjorie is the best girl of the bunch but she does take great pictures, even when she does bad. She had every right to feel insecure and upset after her shoot, the way J talked to her, it would make me feel I did badly as well. Marjorie is a realist, she does not want to think she did well because then she will be disappointed when she's told she did bad. (I'm like that too lol). Samantha is quite delusional actually, her "positive" attitude very often sounds delusional, like she'll say she thought she rocked it, but ended up sucking.

I loved Analeigh's photo this week. And Lauren Brie's too. Most of these photos were actually really great, I loved the shoot a lot!

I do think the right girls for this week were in the bottom two and I suppose out of the two that were, the right one was sent home. About time too :p

I really think Majorie is just WAY to timid and won't last in the Modeling world if she does win. She just doesn't have the confidence to carry herself in a harsh world, she would be eaten alive! And I don't understand how she was called so high up... I mean Jay posed her alot in the photo...

Also not a fan of McKey. Jay was just gushing over her and I thought her photo was very "meh"... It didn't pop or anything. It was just... there.

Yeah Samantha can be a bit brass, but I think she is talented. She had alot of fun and is having alot of fun. She isn't taking it all TOO seriously, which I think will help her. Yes she seems to be messing up in the quick-fire challenges, but I think with some time and learning she will be alot better of a model.

Her photo was really good, and it was cause she was using all the elements, where as Sheena and Lauren Bre were not. Both could have had amazing photos with some AWSOME poses/interaction but they both kinda fell short. I guess Joslyn could be in the same catagory (and I am surprised she made it over Clark!)

I once hated Clark, and I don't mind her now - but I don't think she would have won. She just was to inconsistant with her photos, and that is usually a bad thing and Tyra catches onto that fast.

I dunno what else to say, the drama level is alot more down now that both Hannah and Isis are outta the house :lol:

I think her reaction is justified but there's just something about her that makes everything she says sound so... meek and whiny. I don't respond well to those things either but I definitely thinks she blows it out of proportion. She should stop trying to excuse her personality all the time.

Oh I totally loved Sheena's picture more than Sam's to be honest. I think once they took the ho' out of Sheena she became much more interesting than Sam, granted she does take beautiful pictures but I see more oopmh! in Sheena's.

As for Clark, I never really cared about her and I suppose the judges saw more potential in Joslyn? Who knows what they're thinking sometimes... I mean, miss J's countdown thing? :err:

Wow... These girls were just BITCHES this episode. I am taking a wildshot and saying that they edited it to look ALOT meaner then it was, but everyone just kept bashing everyone else :roll: I guess it is coming down to the wire so the claws are OUT! Which makes for good TV.

Tyra's little photoshoot... *eyeroll* I am so sick of her... Her photos looked really bad - I mean yes her old photos were really good and her eyes was so cool, but now... She is just... old :err: I don't get the love for Marjorie... I really don't I'm sorry, I thought her photo this week was bad and she is just... UGH! I don't get it... I really hope she doesn't win, cause I don't think she will be able to keep the lifestyle of a model! She will just leave it and not even try... Same with McKey... Damn these fights are getting good! Though they always seem to be fighting about the same thing, I am rather sick of Marjorie feeling sorry for herself and I get it I do, and I think it will be her downfall in the end, but why must they show her talk about it EVERY episode... It just takes up time and is useless...

The fashion show was weird... and out there... This was just a weird slew of guest stars this episode. The fashion show was a neat idea, but just weird none the less, I found it funny that Marjorie`s dress slid off her chest XD!

The commericals as always are good. It is always great to see them slip and bumble. I really think Analeigh has just blasted into the front of the girls the last couple of weeks and I am really rooting for her to win! I think it will be either her, Sheena or Samantha. All three seem to be able to break between being a model, have personality and just be a spokesperson, something the other three just kinda can`t do.

Poor Joslyn... :( she did try hard, but I don`t think she would have won in the long run but I do think she will be able to do SOMETHING as a model cause she had some pretty good pictures.

And now the girls are off to Amsterdam... which is kind of a random place to go.

Woot the girls are in Amsterdam! Which looks really cool and that challenge was pretty interesting and I don't think Elina should have been such a bitch too the other girls about the redlight district. Yes it is weird and it is going to be very hard for the American girls to understand how that is acceptable, just like how Margorie and Elina talked about how it hard it is to be outgoing... I don't agree with being so open about prositution... It is just so different (I am not saying wrong) just hard to for me to understand.

So I really still love Samantha, but I am starting to dislike Elina. She just isn't doing it for me anymore... She is just so blah and is bringing NOTHING to the game. On the other hand I am starting to like McKey. I think she is totally rocking out! (and I knew she would be called first... cause she said like 50 times in the episode that she has never been called first...).

I the photoshoot was pretty cool, I am glad they've gone back to like normal photoshoots and not random weird storyline photoshoots... It was simple and fun and I was afraid that Analeigh would fall in to the water!!! Glad she didn't ^_^

I was actually shocked to see Sheena leave I thought for sure Elina would be out. If she is in the bottom 2 again next week I think she will be out for sure. She needs to WOW them, she is pretty and has something, but she is too stiff.

Marjorie is the only one I think won't win. She has the pictures, but in the end all the girls have a better personality and are just more outgoing (minus Elina). So I think she could make it far (even the final 2) but she won't win.

My money is on Sam or Analeigh.

ANALEIGH
I think she has the best shot to win right now. She is very talented, has alot of personality and really enjoys being here. She started out a bit weak but has consistantly been hitting them OUT of the park. Plus she was the first called for the commerical proving she has the personality to back up her look. Yes she looks young, but I think with the right make-up and clothing she is totally able to be high fashion.

McKEY
I really disliked her in the first half of the season, I thought she was giving out bad photos and she was just annoying... Now I kind of really like her. She has a great look to her and I love how she has those swooshing pictures where she looks like she is in mid-fight. Now if she would just have a better hair cut... Tyra gave her a horrable look and I think she would look better with longer brownish-red hair. I think she had hair like that too start with... Now if only she was on time :lol:

SAMANTHA
I really like her, and her photo this week was so clean and I won't be surprised if she becomes a model for Calvin Klien or something like that. She is very high end-commerical, so I think she will do fine for herself. Very CoverGirl but I don't think she will win ANTM, but I bet CoverGirl will sign her just cause she has such a relatable look and she could sell ALOT! She also have the CoverGirl personality for commericals and such, so I think she will be able to have a solid career... Even in highfashion, I mean some of her photos have been pretty amazing.

MARJORIE
Ugh! Yes she has good photos, but she has no personality! People won't book her cause in person she looks like she is some girl who is afraid to speak or even look you in the eye! I just don't see her winning or being able to have a modeling career unless she is able to just GROW as a person...

ELINA
Poor, poor Elina... She had the look but nothing to back it up. Her tattoos arn't attractive and would take away too much from the clothing she is wearing. She had a good run, and I'm sure she'll do fine... but not very main stream. I think she'd do better in Europe then America. AND OMG! She is only 18? She looks at LEAST 26!!


So this episode was okay, I never really like the go-sees, and I hate when Tyra is the photographer (so it was a bad mix). She is just way to out of it and acts like she is such a real photographer... GAWD! But next week will be fun. The male models finally come and they are getting drunk :lol:

So last night was the big finale and... well... WTF?!

Covergirl: The commerical was painful to watch and I was so shocked to see both Sam and Analeigh screw it up since they did so well in the last commerical... :( I knew one of them was out. Both their photos were so forced, which again shocked me cause Analeigh is good at the smiley pictures and Sam looks like she should be as well. When they were in the bottom 2 my heart broke cause I wanted both of them in final 2. Analeigh was sent home which was so sucky cause I think she should have won it all...

Runway: I thought Sam did better... I think Sam has done better through out the entire compition so when they were all "Yeah McKey! We love you McKey you can't do no wrong!" Even though she doesn't have the Covergirl look and has a weird accent now... Guh...

I really wanted Sam to win. Cause I think she HAS IT ALL! California girl who can be edgy and different. Though they just seemed to favor McKey in the last few episodes and the favortisim has just been so obvious that I knew McKey would win when I started this episode.

Throughout this whole episode I've been frowning and shaking my head in disbelief. I guess I am finally realising just HOW manufactured and planned this whole show is. It shouldn't be a surprise, especially after the last 3 cycles - which in my opinion were all crap :lol: - but it's still kind of a shock to me. I love this show and have loved it since cycle 2, which I actually still think is the BEST cycle to date.

Anyway. My frown was due to the McKey praising. I can't believe how she was the judges favorite all the way through, without having an inch of talent on her bony body :down:

I completely agree. I really wanted Analeigh and Sam in the final 2, with Analeigh as the winner. Originally I wanted Lauren Brie and Analeigh in the final 2 but that wasn't happening, obviously :lol:

I have to admit, Sam has grown on me. I never thought she would - but she did. Could be the Caroline Trentini-esque picture from two weeks ago, or could be that she toned herself down (or they just edited it out lol) but the past few weeks I've liked her more and more. Especially comparing her to Elina, McKey and Marjorie, who all started to get more and more on my nerves. I never really liked McKey, sometimes I thought she might have potential, but then she gave that look of hers, the "I'm slightly bored" (or slightly dumb?) look and it all went away.
Anyway, yes. Sam really grew on me and I would have loved to see her and Analeigh in the finale and not McKey.

I was so sad to see them both completely fail the commercial. Poor Analeigh, she just knew she'd done poorly, you could see it on her face at panel.

Having said that, I don't think any of the 3 did well. McKey was slightly scary looking and she sounded.. almost like Marjorie - really nervous. It's good they can edit it to look like she did best. :rolleyes:

I really don't believe that the two takes of Analeigh and Sam were their best ones. I really am convinced that the past few weeks they had already chosen the winner and therefore edited the whole thing to look like she did the best, no matter what.

As for the pictures, I thought Analeigh's was great. I didn't think her smile was fake or anything. I thought Sam's was amazing too I don't know wtf they're talking about.

Exactly! Seriously, when has McKey EVER stepped into panel looking like a model? NEVER!! And not once have they commented on her weird getup. NOT ONCE!! And she always look ridiculous.

I think Analeigh would have kicked both their butts on the runway. She has a really good walk. Neither McKey or Sam has a very good walk.
I have this theory that they only chose Sam because that would make McKey look better. Not that Sam's walk was any worse than McKey's, but if it had been Analeigh, it would have been more obvious that it was rigged :p

And WTF was UP with the runway in the first place? They had to RUN up a slope and walk down stairs? It's getting weirder and weirder. This one beats the weird japanese style slow walk they did in cycle 3 :blink: (my fave is still cycle 4's water runway. That was AWESOME and Kahlen was so robbed..) Anyway... the runway was weird and neither of the girls blew me away. I am always surprised at this stage, because usually one of the girls - or both - blows you away at the final runway. Usually, but not this time. I was really disappointed.
I kept hoping for Sam to win, but I just knew it was going to be McKey.

Actually, this cycle was probably the only one I wouldn't have minded being spoiled for. I knew it already.

I was SO impressed with the girls this cycle, I really was. SO many amazing girls, as opposed to the last 3 cycles who only had 1 or 2 girls each who stood out, and usually they were all robbed blind before the end :lol:

I know I said I was done with this show. But let's see. It IS my guilty pleasure and I doubt I can leave it alone once the next cycle starts :roll:

I'll check out Canada's Next Top Model, if you watch Scandinavia's Next Top Model :roll: (The norwegians always win. Booh.) Yeah, it's combined between Denmark, Sweden and Norway - cos we're such little countries. I think how it works is each country has their own competition until they reach the final 2, then the countries are combined and it's back to 6 girls again. Idk, I've only watched it twice. I don't know if it's still going :rolleyes:
