Yes you read correctly! Now's our chance guys. Buffy was snubbed at the Emmy's during it's entire run but now us fans have the opportunity to vote the ending of The Gift as TV's Most Memorable Moment. If it wins, it'll be played at the 60th Primetime Emmys. Now I know it doesn't make up for the lack of Emmys but at least this way we can have our say of what happens this time. Vote here: http://abc.go.com/primetime/emmys/index?pn=dramavoting_2008_mostmemorablemoments_dv2 k8mmm Come on guys, we have a massive amount of fans. We can make this happen! :happydance:

I just voted!! And that's a lot - considering there's a LOST scene up for vote as well! :D But I hope Buffy wins! It would be great to see it at the Emmy's! We will all know we were partially responsible! :)

It wouldn't be my "Most Memorable Moment" of Buffy, but I did vote (It helped that I never saw any of the other series :p). I hope that they will win an Emmy.

talking about the Emmy's and Buffy; Danny Strong is nominated for his writing.
(And Vincent Kartheiser is snubbed -and no I won't get over that any time soon-.)

I voted. I agree that it personally isn't my most memorable moment but it's a fantastic moment nevertheless and Buffy deserves this!

I want Buffy to win this. I already voted and I think she deserves it.

btw, maybe I´m being a little ignorant here but when are the Emmys? What date?

Okay I voted for it...but it was a tough decision because I really liked the ER moment they had on there. And ER should win something seeing as how this is their last season. But I voted for Buffy.

I'm sorry, but I had to abstain from voting this time. I love The Gift, but with the Sopranos and the Twilight Zone there, two shows that stood out for their innovations in writing, directing and cinematography, not to mention influence and historical significance, I don't feel altogether comfortable giving my vote to Buffy. While I do believe that although it's not, as some would perceive it, the finest piece of television ever made, it deserves some recognition for its innovations on a genre and its allegorical/metaphorical qualities, not only in episode plot but in smaller details, such as lines, particular scenes and the like. But BtVS never struck me as a great force in terms of directing, and (I may get severely beaten up for this) the acting on the part of a great deal of the cast was mediocre at best. Particularly (but by no means exclusively) Sarah Michelle Gellar, whom I've always considered a subpar actress. The show's first and last seasons were critically inconsistent in terms of writing, directing, producing and acting, and it had some critically bad moments throughout its seven-year run. The show does have some qualities which I believe should get a tiny bit more recognition, but with legendary television series next to it, it wasn't strong enough to get my vote. My display of affection for it will be not voting for any of the other contestants.

The Academy should be ashamed of itself. Yes, Buffy won, and I'm so happy about that but the truth lies in the fact that the show won an internet poll and the Academy had nothing do with it. In fact, it is an even bigger slap in the face to us fans because we had to sit through three hours of a show with such crappy hosts and it wasn't even mentioned that 'Buffy' had won. :(

And Clément Buffy didn't win an Emmy, just the fact that we won acknowledgement for best dramatic moment (AND IT WASN'T EVEN SHOWN! :cussing: ). :sadwalk:
