Clearly, I only see bad movies. It's kind of weird that all the films on this list are from America and England. There are some great French, German and Italian movies.

There are some great French, German and Italian movies I Believe the Reason for that is that it only screens movies from those two Countries. I think there are Seperate Lists for Foreign Films.

I've barely watched in the past 8 years! I haven't even been to the cinema in 2 years! But, like I mentioned in the other thread, I was a film major for a few years before I switched to fiction writing. And before that I used to watch everything; I was a huge film enthusiast as a kid. But, like I mentioned in the other thread, I was a film major for a few years before I switched to fiction writing. And before that I used to watch everything; I was a huge film enthusiast as a kid. Don't even get me started. Wow Jenni, U wouldve like me and My friends then. They Are all majoring in something different related to Film. We have made like 2 different Feature Length Movies,I Actually get Brutally Murdered in one) and Hundreds of Short films (90% Horror films). It always lot of fun to do it.

So that makes 44. A lot of these I saw at home on rainy bank holiday afternoons as a kid after a lot of badgering from my parents, but at some point in the murky past I decided to make it my mission to watch every one of these films, but I got a bit tired of it after a while. They may be great but they're not all to my taste, and I generally feel there are better top 100's (the Channel 4 one comes to mind) which are a bit more popularist. This one's for the critics IMO.

i'm quite pissed off at AFI right now. a few years ago, amadeus was #51 (yes, i'm that obsessed)... now, it's been dropped off the list. i'm VERY ticked. i like the older list much better (the one from 1997, i think).
and the graduate is among the movies i've had the most violent urge to vomit over (and it wasn't the mrs. robinson thing). what a pretentious piece of crap. it and woody allen movies. they go together well in their pretensions.

I love Woody Allen movies! Well...most of them. They have a strange humor to them that is quite palpable to me. I've noticed that when it comes to Woody Allen people either love him or hate him.
I can agree on The Graduate. While studying film, of course I had to sit through it about 14 times. And I just actually rewatched the bulk of it on tv a couple weeks ago. It's okay. Not the masterpiece that it is made out to be. IN fact, when speaking of Mike Nichols films, I much prefer Working Girl to The Graduate.
