I read this article today concerning the possible impending SAG strike:

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/cut-actors-strike-threatens-to-bring-hollywood-to-a-standstill-852825.html

Most of the article discusses things that a lot of us have heard rumors of, but one item royally pisses me off:

On television, the autumn season for dozens of network shows, which was already knocked out of schedule by the 100-day writers' crisis, now faces renewed chaos. The hit show Gossip Girl is in the middle of filming its second series. Army Wives, Saving Grace, The Closer and Monk are also mid-production, while 24 has decided not to chance its arm and cancelled an entire year of shows.

Are you kidding me? We have to wait ANOTHER year!? This is ridiculous! :cussing:

I think that refers to the year-plus break 24's already on, actually.

I don't think this will happen. SAG, six days from the deadline, still hasn't called for a vote to authorize a strike because they don't think they have the votes to A) pass it or B) show a unified front. So there will be no picket line to cross, just a bunch of hold-outs.

well, either way we fans may have to endure a longer hiatus for our shows if the 'hold-outs' affect the filming of the fall shows....:(

Are you even *kidding* me? Another strike? I'll have to go into treatment for 24 withdrawl!

I think they need to resolve this before the strike happens or they'll lose even more Viewers than they did before. I dont see one valid reason for them to go on strike anyways
