The Battle of the Vampires
It was only a matter of time. Me and Anna go way back when it comes to art - both digital and handdrawn. We feedback eachother on pretty much every single piece of art we make - which is a lot! Now we get to challenge eachother to make art with the other person in mind - not unlike when we pick up clothes for eachother that we then force the other person to try, no matter how much screaming will be involved  The theme for the battle was simple - vampires. Male vampires it ended up as, seeing as the only female vamp we really wanted to art was Alice, and 1/9 seemed a bit strange... Anyhow, the line-up is as follows:

Round 1
Signe: Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel: the Series)
Round 2
Anna: Spike (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel: the Series)
Round 3
Signe: Lestat de Lioncourt(from Anne Rice's novels and the movies based on these)
Round 4
Anna: Henry Fitzroy (from Blood Ties)
Round 5
Signe: Jasper Hale (from Stephanie Mayer's books and the movie based on these)
Round 6
Anna: Emmett Cullen (from Stephanie Mayer's books and the movie based on these)
Round 7
Signe: Josef Konstantin (from Moonlight)
Round 8
Anna: Mich St.John (from Moonlight)
Round 9
Signe: Edward Cullen (from Stephanie Mayer's books and the movie based on these)
Round 10
Anna: Edward Cullen (from Stephanie Mayer's books and the movie based on these)

The last rounds are both of Edward because we both love that character and we wanted to have the same subject for the last two.

Round 1: Angel
My requirement from Anna was: brown. Although she only sniggered and didn't tell my why exactly, I can only guess it's because latley I've complained that her art is more or less always brown and that there are many other pretty colours in this world...

The Horizon
Edit:Thoughts on the piece...
I wanted to show both the demon and the despair in him. Angel is a very complex character and there are many angles to his story. Inthe original picture I used he stood at the front - not in the back. However, I wanted to to look as if he were looking out -towards the horizon. To look as if he were contemplating how to move forward, not as if he's turned his back on something. The light in the top left corner is the "ghost on the horizon". I wanted it to be bright - not dark - because I wanted it to be a sign of a possible happy feature. At the same time, I didn't want it to be like a sun, light and welcoming. Which is why I used a more cloudy and indestinct shape of the light. the future is, after all, not set in stone. As for the blood on his cheek... That's there to represent what he is and where he's been. He is a vampire, a demon, and he's been in dark and evil places. Now it's up to him how to proceed.

Resources:
Image: SlayerVerse
Textures: Aldeib, Obsession of the Moment, Ugly Buisness, of the sky, Salt'n Burn, Shattered
Brushes: Obsession of the Moment
Gradients: Black Lagoon, Misplaced, mine

Now, the requirement for Anna's next round is:
You may only use textures from Misplaced Moments, Obsession of the Moment or Shattered - and you must use textures. (The reason for this is because those are the textures I obsessively use and Anna almost never uses).

 You two are so awesome together, this will be a fabulous battle, I can't wait to see where it goes (and ye gads, I have to wait until the last round for Edward? :p

Signe: I adore the simplicity with this piece. I love the brown and the large border that you gave it, it makes it feel almost classical, if that makes sense. I love the blood on his face and the background that you used to create the 'horizon' and I would have loved to read your thoughts on this piece. Alas, you also did a great job with the texturing and not letting it overpower the image of Angel or the background, and keeping the contrast up. All in all, a fabby beginning, can't wait for yours, Anna! :D

 You too are so awesome together, this will be a fabulous battle, I can't wait to see where it goes (and ye gads, I have to wait until the last round for Edward? :p

True true... However, who would be better as the grand finale if not Edward?

Just for you darling, I've edited in my thoughts :p

YEY summer :2party:, and yey time to make art ^^!! I luurve summer holidays :p

Hehe and yeah I sniggered, just a bit ^^. I mean oh no you haven't picked on the brown shades of my art, maybe just a bit (or actually a lot :xd). You have a tendency to use all the different colours of the spectrum and that might just be a tad colourful ^^. And oh I have to say it's so weird we chose this subject, not. Even in my new class everyone knows I appareantly have a thing for vampire series, and Signe IS my second half (and the one who intruduced me to them, starting with Buffy :p).

Which leads me in on your piece. I love it, as usual (even though the blood in the face, what? why? huh? what's up with that ?) The browness isn't as I thought but I love it. The simpleness is stunning and gorgeous, I love the effect you managed to get too . But since you usually like to get constructive critisism, I have to say ... no really I don't know what to say (I hate you, HATE HATE HATE, you could at least be a bit less good so I had something to complain about, you know that's my favourite hobby ^^). But now maybe the blue in the sky doesn't really fit with the rest of the colours... :p

Round 2: Spike
Thoughts and so on...
My requirement was surpisingly difficult. I kind of never use only theese textures, I guess I think they are a bit too simple or something. However, I wanted to try them, since Signe creates such awesomeness with them all the time . Although I took my refuge in stocks (I feel a bit guilty :p). And OMG it was a long long time since I made any BTVS art, and hehe the thought behind this, and the lyrics... I think I got the idea last summer ^^. This piece revolves around Spike and how he evolves during the seasons. He starts out as very evil, but soon discoveres he isn't really, and tries to rise above it (the ladder ^^). Trying to rise above the fact that he is a vampire and evil ^^... Yeah I think that's it :D.

Hahaha, Signe's requirement:
You have to use more than 25 words (hahahaha ^^)! One of the reasons is that you often pick on my amount of words (even though I usually have too much text, but that's another story ^^). Luurve and good luck:hug:

You're pure evil... Not unlike Lestat actually...

I know I was there when you made the Spike piece, but I still want to comment, hehe... Well, the text is perfect (duh!) love the "why should it be so bad to be bad" And the ladder! As you so bluntley remarked yesterday, that corner rocks! On the other hand, I still think you should've gone more with blue... I like blue (you don't say!) and blue and red fit so perfectly (just ask the french... or the britts... or the americans... there just are so many of them). Overall though, I really  it. AND! It's not brown!! I'm full of pridenosity!

Round 3: Lestat de Lioncourt
Now, for my baby... I had massive, massive problems with this. The only good IWTV caps I could find were zips with about 6000 pics I had to search through. I also didn't really know what angle to take. There are just so many with Lestat (did I mention he's my favourite ever book character and that if I could choose to be anyone at all I'd choose to be him, never mind that he's an evil blood-sucker?). In the end I tried to show the evil. Yes, he has feelings, he loves just like the next vampire. However, Lestat enjoys being what he is. Unlike Louis, Lestat isn't tormented by any consience - he embraces the devil within. Which is one of many reasons as to why I love him so much - he's honest with what and who he is. More to the point, I wanted to convey the predator, who plans and is all sneaky before finally attacking. On the other hand, this way of life has often left him very alone - something Lestat does not like. Which is where the lyrics (Rolling Stones of course) comes in (and 47 words! HA!). It's like he loves meeting new people and becoming friends with them (and hopefully turning them like with Louis ;)) - but are they always so happy about meeting him? Often not, because often they just become a snack... Or, in Louis case, condemned to eternal evil. It feels like I'm going on about absolutley nothing... In short, the piece is supposed to show the sneaky evil Lestat is.

Now, your requirement
I was racking my brain for something that I do often that you never do... That would also fit with Henry... Then it hit me! Comics! I've never seen you do a comic-book (sorry, graphic novel) piece, when we both know you love them - if not equally as much then more than - I do! So there's that, you have to make a piece comic-style! Mohahahaha!

aldieb
08-06-08, 03:33 PM
Eh heh, you know I hate you, don't you? Comics? Me? Eh yeah sure :s, I know I love them, but that's not the same as I want to do them myself, but gah I hate you. Comics... :err: Evil personified! Probably only because I was looking forward, and got to make the Henry wall :xd. This is war!

Anyway, I actually realised 25 words weren't that much, I feel very kind :p. And I have to say I love the picture! The depht the thingy in the middle creates is awesome! However can't say I think the word are that well placed, and your'e not that much better at working with colours you either... what's up with pink suddenly? But HAHAHAHAHA it's Sympathy for the Devil. You know I love you (and yes I have realised how it sound as if I have "mulptiple personalty disorder" ^^).

Round 4: Henry Fitzroy
But gah comics? Last night I watched X-men again, and yeah thereforeI feel kind of in a Marvel-mood, even though the result looks nothing like marvel :(. And you have to excuse me, I don't think I've ever made comic-style, have I? Anyway, since I've recemtly found kind of good images, and caps from Blood Ties are crap, I choose this scene, since I already had two hq pics. It's just about how he is a vampire, not very evil, but kind of. He lives forever, and drinks blood, and has this cool power to control people, in this case make them forget what happened. I wanted to show the sad point of view of the scene, not only the action filled, and "evil".

Requirements for Signe:
Since you are so extremely cruel, I'm going to take what I threathened with, even though I'm kinder than you and won't be as evil as I could ^^. You only get to use two pictures, and no stocks or brushes! And I know I haven't done that too many times ^^ (like ones or twice I'd guess:xd), but I am still angry at you for the comic-book thingy!

Signe

EVIL!!!!

Now that we've gotten that out of the way... Anna, what were you thinking? I know there aren't a buckload of good Henry pictures or screencaps for that matter but why, oh why, did you choose that horrible icky picture as your main focus?! He looks like Hugh Grant as he was caught with his pants down, only uglier and wierder. WHY?! Also, you realize that was not what I had in mind when I said comic-book (graphic novel!) style. I was thinking more like a strip! Despite this (uhm... minor) imperfections (and yes, I'm mean but I know you too well not to be, sorry) I really like the pictures you chose, and the way you cropped them, on the left side. Espicially the one in the upper left corner :D The text is spot on as usual, made me laugh :xd

Round 5; Jasper Hale
You had to choose two pictures, no stocks and no brushes on Japser didn't you! First I thought "easy, I don't always use stocks or brushes even, and two pictures are a lot easier than one! Haha, Anna's even being nice!". Boy was I ever wrong! First of all, finding pictures of Jasper/Jackson Rathbone is really hard, especially good ones in character. Instead, I had to take on picture of Rathbone and one of Jasper and mix them together (thankfully, I'd done this before so - sneaky as I am - I jusr re-used it). Still, It makes for a pretty boring piece with just the one petite picture! Not having any brushes to that! Argh!

The thoughs contains some spoilers from Eclipse...
OK, Jasper. My favourite vampire of the Cullen household (gasp! Not Edward?!). I love his divided personality where he's extremely compassionate and empathetic (hard for him not to be) as well as he has a distanced military perspective that lets him look at things from every point of view - including the ones most people won't even begin to consider. In this piece I wanted to concentrate on his background (with the new-borns etc.) and how he broke free from the violence. When choosing the lyrics I wanted something that I actually thought he could listen to, and being a Southern man I started looking through my coutry and blues selection. Which is why I originally had Robert Plant/Alison Krauss lyrics. However, they didn't seem to fit that well. A few days later (I was, in a fashion, done with the piece last Sunday) - today - I heard Blowin' in the Wind by Bob Dylan and knew it was the right song for Jasper. Don't know if anybody out there would agree, but I think Jasper is a Dylan man (maybe it's just wishful thinking). Either way, I put a lot of effort into finding the right text because to me it's important. For once, I actually didn't put too much thought into the colours like I usually do. However, I did want a lot of colours in there because Japser is constantly feeling everybody else's feelings. Therefore, he is himself in constant inner turmoil - the many colours.

Anna's requirement
You have Emmett. I love Emmett. Furthermore, just like I think Jasper listens to country and Bob Dylan I think Emmett listens to Prodigy. Which is why you have to use Prodigy lyrics for your Emmett piece. Good luck!

Evil? Oh yeah sure... I'M the evil one!? No way!

And you weren't exagerating with "not a buckload".... try at the top 5! And the caps... uuueh :err:. Had I made it now, when Sayjay has been such a sweetie and capped the first episode it would have been a totally different matter!! And hey he is supposed to look weird! He is a vampire! And he is supposed to look exposed and caught... (and vulnerable ^^)! But yes it is really one of my worst pictures, so yeah, you're evil!

Anyways, yours... Hehe I liked how you really thought I was being extremely nice ^^. It took you some time to realise you had Jasper, and that I weren't as nice as you thought :D. Hehehe! I like how he looks as usual, and Iike the right corner.... He and the background there melt together nicely. On the other hand... the rest... with the textures... :p. Heh ... it's just scary ^^! And what is up with you and using all the colours you can!? And the text... I like the text as in I like the lyrics, but there is just a lot of text and weird text and you can't really read it. Have you gone Anna-style or what :p (even though I like my way a bit better ^^) ? Nah but it was hard, and a hard requriment wasn't it?

Round 6: Emmet Cullen
And mine... Prodigy is a quite good band, but gah they haven't got a lot of lyrics with a lot of text! However I finally found something I could use. This piece only playes on the fact that he is a vampire and hunts grizzlies ^^. And yeahmaybe a bit considering his whole personality, I see him as quite fun (even though Edwar is my favourite of the Cullens ^^).

I think I can say that, without a doubt, this is my favourite of your rounds so far :D It's very cool ^^ I love how you tilted Emmett so that he's a part of the overall "swirl" that connects the different parts of the piece. It adds a very nice effect. Furthermore, the bear in the background is perfect because it doesn't take over the picture (that's left for Emmett to do:xd) but you still notice it without having to strain your eyes (as can sometimes happen when you put in details like that - and you as in "man", not you, hehe). However, (and I'm fairly certain it's me - not you, haha) I can hardly read the text and the piece is a bit to dark for my fashion. It's possible it's my screen that's more "contrasty" than yours (it's happened before), still... Emmett may be a vampire but he's hardly the dark and mysterious type:lol: That said, I luuurve this - one could even say I have the specific horn:hug:

Round 7: Josef Konstantin
I just loved Anna's requirement for me for this round. OK, I did have some problems with the five stocks I had to use, but it all worked out fairly well in the end. I love Josef when he's all vamped up - one of the scariest looking vampires I've ever seen on screen! However, I had some trouble finding perfect caps (there really were none...), since he was mostly in motion when he was at his peak of scariness and that often results in blurry caps :( I did manage to score some vicuous looking caps. Woo ho! :D TheUnlike most of my pieces I didn't so much wanted to create a thought with this piece so much as a feeling. I was going for dark creepiness and viciousness. Josef may joke around with Mick and most of the time we see him he looks relaxed and nothing like a the kind of vamipre we usually think of when we hear the word (unless the first thing that comes to mind is vapires like Carlisle, but then you're just wierd...). On the other hand, you don't live for as long as Josef has by being a fluffy puppy! It's that sort of lurking evil that I wanted to show...

Anna's requirement
I know you love brown, and you know I love the whole spectrum. Therefore, for this next round not only do you have to have at least three different colours and you have to be able to describe and explain why you chose these different colours (remember the talk we had last week?). Good luck! :D Oh, and no brown!

22-06-08, 03:23 PM
Well I'm sorry to say this is not my favourite round so far, but I guess I still like it. I love the middle, how the text contrast awesome to the blending. The blending from the dark to the pictures are awesome too, but I have to say, I hate the dark blending to the texture! I don't know, I think it looks random and not really good at all. I have to say LOVE the right upper corner and the middle part. However the light around the middle pic looks a bit weird, but not very wrong still, and I know hoe hard it can be. The small picture in the right down corner... it's a bit weird. The usage of stock images wasn't really as I wanted it either, I mean they don't really provide anything to the picture. You sneaked your way out of it and only used light-stocks. On the other hand, yeah, I love light stocks and in half of the places they look amazing. And hello Signe... Call Her Green was not very creative or well placed!!

Btw my picture wasn't supposed to look as dark as it does on your screen, you can't see a thing on that!

Round 8: Mick St.John
I did NOT really like this requirement. Firstly not use brow, it was horrible and super difficult! Use three different colours isn't really that hard either, but to explain why!? Anyway here then comes my explanation: With this piece I really wanted to show his difficulties with and the fact that he is a vampire. The yellow represent the sun, and the human life, which he craves but appereantly can't have. The red on the other hand stands for his life as a vampire. The blue... eh it just appeared but the only thing I could think about when I saw it was the hardness with vampirism and his struggle as a vampire (.... and actually Twilight vampires but that's another story :xd). No but the blue is both the downsides ad the good things about being a vampire, it's the contrast and the small things underneath the other greater cantrast (ie. human/vampire). As a conclusion it's basically that even though you may think he is normal, and human from his appereance, he isn't :D!

For the last round you only get to use three colours! And not a lot of different shades, but still not only one. I mean you have to use gradually blended colours, (ie. like I usually do, ex if you use the warm red, you can't use the cold red too). Both black and white count as colours. I think it can be awesome! Good luck with the last round!

First, this is an amazing battle! Very original and two of my favorite artists to boot! And it's proven to be a very challenging battle, really pulling each of you from certain comfort zones, so major bonus points! I'm just sorry it's taken me so long to finally have the time to feedback the amazing pieces!

Round 1
I really love the perspective of this piece. How Angel isn't the center focus, the complete lanscape of the piece. I love the whispy texturing and light over the horizon symbolism, esp how it's still just out of his view...the grass being the hurdles he still has to overcome. I also adore the blood running down his chin, really showing that in the end, he's still a monster although a good one :) Really beatiful piece! Stunning coloring.

Round 2
Wow! I love the center lighting, how it almost appears like a flame, really showing his passion and ferocity. I love the texture work, it may be different from your normal art, but it doesn't make it any less amazing! I love text choice, so perefectly suited to Spike and his quest to be a better man.

Round 3
LESTAT! Okay, one of my favorite vamps ever. I love how both images seem to stare at you, prefect choice, and I love the smaller image bringing some scale into the piece. Great choice of text, it really suits Lestat and most of all how he sees himself, however, I think it could have been spaced a little better around the piece, adding it as an element. Also, I am not sure of the coloring, I seems a little harsh in some areas, especially when added on top of how pale Lestat's skin is normally. Perhaps a little more beige? It could add a nice aged appeal, or maybe a little more red, I don't know why but when I think of him I think red :s

Round 4
I love your take on the comic style, the faded boxes, how he comes out of them, almost as if he were alive in the wall. Great cap choice...I've never gotten to see this show...but I really get a sense of him. Great coloring and the text is brilliant, I love how it seems to flow into and around the piece instead of just overlapping it, really adds to the fluidity of it. My only thought would be on the top images, the filtering looks a little heavy, but still...I love it! It give new meaning to Comic Book!

Round 5
I adore the coloring on this! Plus, I think you did wonderfully on Jasper. I love the light effects around him, almost binding him to the piece and it really sort of adds a dazzle :) Love the pattern and texture work, it sort of gives it a homespun look...like a quilt? It gives it sort of an innocence, which I really feel describes Jasper perectly...though we know he isn't...maybe it's just his calm nature! I really think the text works perfectly for him as well. The only thing I am not crazy about is the font at the bottom...it's a little odd in comparision to the rest of the piece, but overall just soothing and pretty!

Round 6
:thud: Now this...is...STUNNING! I love the darknessof it, and the image of the bear you found is so wonderful!! Just wow!

Round 7
I love how you blended from light to dark! The stock use is so beautiful in this piece, I can't even begin to describe how much I love it. The left image of Josef, I think though is a little weird...it's almost too masked or too dark...too something, I just can't put my finger on it. Maybe it has to do with the lighting on the other image and how bright it is in comparison? I also really am not sure about placement of the cap to the right, of him vamped out. It's a little odd..then again it could be his facial expression getting to me. I think overall it might be more of a composition issue...maybe add in some more shadows to the bottom right and more light in the top left? I really love the concept you were going for here! Perhaps instead of the second image of him on the left, you could have used a vamp image behind his 'human' self? Sort of like the demon behind his eyes sort of thing?

Okay, the last piece I will hold off on until Signe posts her next piece! :) I really can't wait to see the final round unveiled (EDWARD!!!), I've enjoyed watching thus far, it's just too bad yall are already starting to come to a close :( Brilliant work, both of you so far and I can't wait to see what you do next!!!

Thank you so much for the feedback Wendy! And about the Josef piece, I agree the composition doesn't rock, but parts of it is due to the caps I had to work with. The "angry-vamp" picture to the right was cut off by Mick's shoulder where it looks cut off in the piece :( Also, don't tell anyone, but I have a feeling me and Anna are gonna have another battle soon... We both liked it a bit too much ;)

Anna, you did it! No brown! I'm very proud :D I actually thinks this piece looks better on my screen than yours (I was just a tad bored sometime at your place last time ^^), but that's all to the better hehe. I love how you have him looking off into the distance then have him turn around as if walking away... I really like it. The colours!!! I know you didn't *actually* think of the red and yellow etc. as if they represented stuff (I know you... also you told me), but it actally does bring a lot to the piece. Instead of brown... And I don't care that you said it looked better at some point where you had it brown, I don't believe it! I love it the way it is ;) One thing though... You do realise that the text is not always that readable, especially when I have to twist and turn half of my body to read parts of it:xd

Round 9: Edward Cullen
I feel a bit sad, because it's my last round and so far I haven't made a piece that I like that much! It's depressing... Anyhow, so Anna gave me the hardest challenge of them all - to not use all the colours of the rainbow! Talk about feeling as if one of your arms were cut off! So I chose to go for a classic, black/white plus red. Very gothic. Very evil... Which is the part of Edward that I wanted to concentrate on, his evil vampire slef (mohahahaha). I think that there are just so many lovey-dovey Edward pieces and way to few bad-ass pieces... I could be wrong, though. Either way, Edward time and time again tells Bella that he's evil, bad and all kinds of things. Sometimes, we see his "true nature", well, his "vapire nature" anyway. However, it is there all the time, something Edward is very aware of but Bella doesn't seem to be all the time. I just sort of wanted to bring forth that "all the time" thing, not just "oh, he's just vampy when he's hunting or really mad at bad people" - because this isn't really true....

Anna's requirement
It was so hard thinking up something new! I seriously didn't know what to do... But then, I remembered something I use constantly! Filters from the rubrik "artistic". So what you have to do in your next piece is use at least two filters from "Artistic" :D Good luck!

Well yes thank you Wendy for the feedback . You're very sweet ^^. I've loved this challenge and I too believe this is really not the end of our battles. In addition I feel I have developed and tried a lot of different styles during this time and it has really been a blast :D.

Anyway, I like your piece, and I think it is one of your best. However you know it wasn't this I meant with the requriement, and this way it is a lot harder. Still, I like how it turned out, and that you really show him as a bad-ass vampire :xd. I like the colours, however I think the light here isn't more understandable, like the other light you had, before, you know I loved it. I love the blood and I know how hard you worked on it, and it is gorgeous. But Signe... it looks a bit like he is choking on blood :P. Heh maybe that means something too ^^. Anyway gorgeous piece love !

Round 10: Edward Cullen
Actually I kind of like this piece. It took forever to come up with an idea, but the requirement really wasn't that bad. But you know how it is, there isn't a lot of good pitures of him, especially that I haven't used more than a couple of timer earlier. With this piece I wanted to show his life. His addictions, ie blood (...hunting/the lion), his car (ok I'm the one obsessed with his car but whatever :xd) and of course Bella. And for your information (because you can't see it that clear, especially unless you've seen the other ones) I did as you told me too, ie I used Artistic filters. I used 'paint dubs', which I like and often use, but also I decided to try out 'dry brush'. However you should have seen the oicture when during the time I was doing it :p. Like I said to you 'There is so much patterns that you get lost as soon you catch a glimpse of this piece :xd', but in the end it worked out, and most of the patterns disappeared during the process (thankfully ^^).

Anna's 10th round
It's weird that I'm writing this now because I'm talking to you as well, but but... This piece, and I realise I'm biased here, is the best in this whole battle! Seriously! If this doesn't win the poll I'm eating salad! (It was your choice not mine...) May I just say that the light is perfect! It looks as if he's actually shining! I love the longing look he has as well, as if he's pining for his favourite things. He looks like a mix between Clark (SM) and Ludvig (our classmate who of course no-one else know so you just have to take my word for it ) The positioning of the car/mountain lion/Bella is perfect, I love love love! Though the big black blob in the middle... What's up with that?:p The text is to die for, very Anna but in the good (aka readable) way :D Though the "Look up to me" looks a bit too white to really fit in IMO... I hate you:D

Now, I PMed Nikki about wanting a poll about uhm... 10 minutes ago? So hopefully it will be up soon ;)

Anna - You already know this because I repped you, but your last round completely BLEW ME AWAY!!! Everything just fit together so well and seamlessly. The entire piece just flows. I have to admit, I LOL'd at the requirement Signe gave you earlier in the battle: NO BROWN! Just because you do use it a lot, which is almost like a culture shock to me because I LOVE COLORS!!! Of course, you usually use it well and I like the brown, so no problem!

Signe - I had to pick the Moonlight piece of Josef. I loved it when I first saw it, and I still love it now. I really like the way the light starts at the edges and fades out towards the middle. It seemed appropriate for a vampire somehow :xd I love the texturing, and the simple text works really nicely but effectively here (especially since I love that you left all that negative space). I don't know if you needed that cap of him in the top of the piece, but overall, it doesn't affect how much I like it.

Alright, quick feedback!! My internet keeps dropping on my, and because I feedbacked one of Signe's pieces, I'll do one of Anna's...

Prince Charming: Oh. My. Gawd! This is freaking amazing! My favorite piece from you from this entire battle. This, right here, is exactly why I chose you for my Artist of the Month! I've seen a different sort of lighting from your work as of late, and this piece, the composition, the image choices, the textures, it all absolutely beautiful, and this is the one I voted for from you. The image of Bella, the lion and the car all blended in opposite of Edward is fantastic and yet again, you've made me love brown! Great, great work! :xd

Loved this battle, even though i'm not familiar with all the vamps it was really cool to watch :D

So my fav piece from each of you.....

Anna - Bad: I adore this one so much!! Love the old world feel it has to it. Im not a huge Spike fan but really love what you have created, especially the lyrics!! They fit so well... Great job! :D

Signe - Edward: I love me some B/W so this is just perfection for me! (also my fav colour is red woohoo) Also loving how you focused on Edwards bad ass side...totally agree with you there are like no bad ass walls of him and hes a freaking vamp for fecks sake! Im not a huge lover of Edward *runs under the covers to hide* so i like seeing him for what he really is :D Great job!
