Logging in problems on BW

I can't log in to my account on BW ad it is even saying it does not recognise my email address, is this just me or is it happening to other people?

Mark, the BW owner, is doing something on the forum right now, which might be why. Other people seem to have the same problem.

How about somebody getting in touch with Nikki and letting her know Mark's on the main forum right now?

No time like the present to get some answers, yes? Any Mods around with Nikki's e-mail contact?

Nikki knows that Mark is online at BW - she's posted in the mod zone about it. But she can't force Mark to talk about what he's doing. We just have to be patient, be glad that there is clear sign of work being done, and wait to see if whatever Mark is doing resolves whatever the problem is.

Well I PMed Mark and have had no reply yet. I'm not even expecting one really.

It seems most accounts on BW have been deleted. I think Mark might be restoring the forum from a backup or some more of the database has become corrupted and information has been lost.

All I can do is wait and see what happens and if I get any information from Mark I promise I will tell everyone.

For now I suggest nobody re-registers on BW incase there is a way he can restore the deleted accounts.

The question that pops up for me is, what if he can't restore the deleted accounts? I personally have no desire to re-register at BW and start all over again, now that we finally got this board starting to become lively. And knowing that it is unlikely that Mark will change his 'I don't care about the board' attitude in the years to come, I see no reason to go back there.

If he can't restore the accounts that has deleted, I won't go back either. I was a member there for over two years, and I do miss all my posts, and my all my PM's...which were nearly full...my rep points, my Pink Charmed Scheme...:( But personally, I can not be bothered to go back on Buffyworld, start from scratch and build up for yet another two years to get back where I was...if BW can stay up that long...so if my account is deleted, I'll be staying here permanently.

Well there is a database back up everyday and it's easy to restore from the last one. I guess this happened as Mark attempted to fix the problems. I guess we'll find out soon what is going to happen going forward.
