Hi there Brian good to see you here.

I think you'll find some of the debates here...interesting to say the least.

Welcome to the board Brian! (But make sure you have enough time to keep writing!!)

In a perfectly fair exchange for inviting him to a free, public message board, Brian has of course given me complete creative control over "Angel: After the Fall".

Well that would mean Spike and Angel would be ash within the first ten pages then.....

Oh and while you're at it you better warn Brian about some of the weirder rules that they have here when it comes to posting etc.

Seriously, though, glad to have you in our corner of the fandom, Brian, and hope our discussions about the book don't... terrify you?

Oh wow!!! Welcome to the forums!

Hope you have a great time and that some of us don't talk your ear off! :D I've only manage to lay hands on the first release so far, but I was utterly thrilled and dying to read the next.

I'm on my way out but I just couldn't resist the chance to pop in here and babble incoherently. :xd Have fun and I hope to see you around!

I'm not reading everything, there's a lot of talking about it (especially issue 3) all over the internet, but I'm just happy that this many people care. It makes it all worth it.

Hey Brian

Don't think we've ever had a big gun become a member on these forums before, very exciting! Hope you have a great time here and thanks for your amazing work!

Brian, anxiously awaiting your next podcast. The last one was very entertaining. You're very good about giving us answers to the specific kinds of questions we ask that don't have spoiler overtones -- a lot of writers wouldn't bother.

Hi Brian!!

WOW! A "Celeb" on Buffy Forums! How kewl is that!

Welcome to the forum - so glad to have you here to join in all the fun!

Must say I am a HUGE fan of yours (unless you write something negative about Spike and then... :D ) from Spike: Shadow Puppets and Asylum. When I heard you were up for After the Fall (and Franco) I knew Joss had asked the right duo to bring this chapter of Angel to life!!

Again - Welcome to the forum! And thanks for the great writing!

In a perfectly fair exchange for inviting him to a free, public message board, Brian has of course given me complete creative control over "Angel: After the Fall".

OOOOHhhh... Tell me it isn't so... :cutecry: j/k :p :D

Really enjoying your work.. I'm still waiting for issue 3 to arrive though

Now if we just got Joss and Scott Allie, I guess we'll have a full set. They're like pokemon. Gotta catch 'em all.

Hi Brian-Welcome to our favorite Buffy-infused spot of the web. I'm sure we will entertain you with our speculation. :D

I'm definitely enjoying After the Fall- only the second comic book series for me ever. (Leave it to Joss to make a 29 year old woman rush out to buy her first comic. Evil.) I'm still adjusting to the comic bookiness, but the on-point character voices have really helped. Spike and Illyria were particularly great in # three. "Right. Game on then." Perfect.
Thanks.

Spike and Illyria were particularly great in # three. "Right. Game on then." Perfect.

Heh, the look she gave him, the total "boy, you better shut your hole before I do" look, was perfect.

I haven't read "Asylum" or "Shadow Puppets", but I want to now, since clearly Joss knew what he was doing trusting the scripting to Brian, who has these characters' voices and attitudes down perfectly. Especially loving Nina, Gwen, and Connor being back around.

They're both great. The amazing thing about Asylum is the way Brian brings that whole world to life. He makes you care about new characters very quickly. And for those of us who love Spike, it's so nice to see him with a group of people who don't just wish he'd go away. Shadow Puppets is lighter, and has some really funny moments which I won't go into so as not to spoil. I expect you'd enjoy both, even though you aren't so vested in Spike. Cause even though it's his story, the world evoked is so cool. Easy to see why Joss tapped Brian for the AtF job.

Hi Brian! I can't wait to read your stuff! Just as soon as I get a hold on the comics! :(

:) Glad you came to stop by! Continue writing your apparent awesome extenuation of Angel!

I've gotta ask... what do you take away from reading debates over what we think is really happening when you know the answers? Do you ever see points argued well enough that, as a writer, you think you're getting too much credit? Too little? That you wish you'd thought of something you read in a discussion?

God I do hope he hasn't looked too closely at some of those threads considering the attitude expressed towards the comic by some folks in the early days.

At least that side of it seems to have dispersed now, thank the lord.

I just realized that "Angel: After the Fall" has a subforum. How long has that been there? I've just been clicking through automatically like going to the Season 8 forum that I hadn't noticed. Makes the main forum look kinda inactive.

Oh my gosh! Is Mr. Brian Lynch our first famous person ever? Oh wow! I'm actually late with the whole welcoming-thing. Sorry about that. But anyway, I'm so glad KingofCretins has coerced you into popping over to our corner of the 'net. Quite a colorful place we have here, too, with a lot of diverse members with very varied views.

Oy to the vey! Now I sound like I'm writing a sales pitch! :p

To cut to the chase, glad you decided to join the forum here. I, like many others, am enjoying "Angel: After the Fall" quite a bit. So thank YOU for writing it! :D

EDIT: Oh! And I forgot a hug, so...ahhh!

...I'm not a stalker, trust me. I'm just excited to see a famous person on BuffyForums...No, really: I'm not a stalker...

Hello there, and welcome you are!

I imagine the net is buzzing with the latest revelation. Must be kind of spooky going into this and writing the series sixth season canon, knowing the following the show had. I admire your bravery, even if you have a solid wingman...
