They could have amusing moments and they were both fantastic characters and actors but I never wanted them together. He didn't belong with her long term. She represented his evil to me and he wasn't evil. Spike was beyond Drusilla. Despite that, to say something positive in your thread to be respective, like before, they could have amusing moments. :)

Sprusilla forever!:) I'm glad that that you've opened this one, I was hoping since Beste has opened the "Drusilla" one, like I've mentioned there, they were great together, a unique couple:) Bloody love!

Like Selen said It was a 'bloody' love!! They seemed so pretty together! I love the words when they talk:D
In ways I think Dru and Spike fit better together than Buffy and Spike (and I know, it's practically two different Spikes but whatever). I just love thier total understanding of eachother and how because they've been together for so long - they know just about evrything about eachother. Furthermore, I adore the crazieness :D they're both crazy and together it just blossoms ^^

Spike/Dru was a very iconic couple. Just love the promo pics of them from season two, there so goth and dark and it is a wonderful relationship visually. I also love the poetry in their relationship, how Spike leads her with his hand, how Dru sways when she dances, there is something very soothing in the way they move together. And just the dialouge between them is so elegant in many ways, the wonderful lines coming from both of them is amazing and IMO they really brought out a lot of eachother when they were together.

One of the sexiest, coolest scenes in Buffy is a Spike/Dru scene. It's the scene in Crush when they walk into the Bronze together, set to amazing music. It's like Reservoir Dogs meets Interview with a Vampire. Hot. Violent. Excellent! :D
Not sure I like them as a couple in any "it's a good relationship" sense, but I enjoy watching them together. Funniest moment they ever had was probably in Lies my parents...etc when Dru says "you want to take your mum wiv us?" Hee! I like that they're both sexy and funny together. Oh, rather like the Addams Family actually.

That whole Bronze scene is pretty horrific. To see how easily Dru can take two lives makes you remember just how damn lethal a vampire can actually be. And yeah, was a very sexy scene :D

Dru was possibly the only character who had been focused on in any great way that I didn't dislike in that entire ep. Go Dru!

Ok, I threw my self over the Drusilla thread so fast I didnt see there was a Spike/Dru thread so I said most of it there.
I do agree with all of the above posts though. They are indeed a iconic couple which attracts my romantic side, as well as they are great villains. There is good interplay between many of the couples in the show but nothing beats Spike and Drusilla.

That is so true. They have that quality and manages to combine it with a Addams kind of feeling to. And as I also love the Addams family this is a match made in... heaven? :headscratch: But a match made in Sunnydale is maybe more correct.
Love them. :)

Yes I do and O YES she has indeed!
Unfortunately I found the page while at work, so an hour or so later my co-workers found me paralyzed staring at the screen with a silly smile on my face ;)

An agreement with you there! I think Drusilla and Spike are meant to be together. They are one of the most meaningful and eternal couple through the serie. and yes, Spike only love that makes sense.

I've read it. It's a wonderful book and my favourite non canon Buffy book out there actually. It's amazingly written with a fantastic and compelling story and Spike and Dru are both great in it.
Unfortunately it does directly contradict canon, I believe it was written just before the episode 'Fool For Love' and as a result, in the book Spike goes after a slayer we know he didn't in the show. As a result of that it's hard to even picture it fitting in with the series' timeline because we know the two slayers Spike went after. Nevertheless it's still an incredibly great read.
The basic premise of the novel is that it's set in World War II and revolves around Spike/Dru obviously, and a Danish slayer named Sophie and her psychic watcher Yanna. Both Sophie and Yanna are wonderful characters who are fleshed out to amazing effect in the book, you definitely get a sense of who they are as people and you feel for both of them. The story revolves around it being Dru's birthday so Spike wants to get her a mystical pendant (if I remember correctly.) Only problem is an ice demon has the pendant and will only hand it over in exchange for one thing; Spike kills all the potential slayers and wipes out the slayer line, including Sophie. So yup that's right, it's basically season seven's idea just much before the actual writers on the show thought of it. And I must say, it's actually written far better than Btvs season seven. The potentials are fleshed out and very sympathetic and likeable characters, are are many of the Watchers at the Academy, most of them in training. We also see the ancestors of Giles and Quentin Travers as well and the relationship between Spike/Yanna is very interesting, as if the relationship between Sophie and Spike.
The book deals with many themes, including Sophie's hatred of the Nazi's and what she believes her duties as a slayer are in the war, as well as the oppression of the council, also a theme in the television series.
It's wonderfully written, a mature book and definitely geared towards an older audience. It's brilliant at setting up a scene, going into great detail about all the amazing places the characters go (Copenhagen, New York, London ect) and the action scenes are written wonderfully, if not terribly violent and graphic at times.
It's a fantastic book with a poignant and heartbreaking end and it's a wonderful tribute to Spike and Drusilla. If you're a fan of either character or them as a couple you'll love this book. I really advise people read this book, it’s a fascinating read and really the only Btvs novel (except for maybe ‘The Lost Slayer Series’) that I truly enjoy.

I remember at a British Buffy con several years ago Chris Golden giving a talk in which he covered that. He said he had been really annoyed with the production office as he has sent in his book for Joss's approval well before FFL aired and it was sent back to him, approved and with no notes the day before FFL aired.
You can imagine how unimpressed he was to see that Williams origins had been covered and that the production office hadn't felt it necessary to warn him in any way.
But I loved the book even though I know Golden wasn't keen on Spikes character after he found redemption in the series.
'The Lost Slayer' is my all time favorite Buffyverse novel too. Real nail biting stuff. Wonderfully done. :D

I'd be very pissed as well. The books fantastic nevertheless but it is a bit of a pity that it so clearly contradicts what's been established in canon because it's a nagging feeling as you begin reading it. Thankfully I became engrossed in the book that it stopped bugging me but it would have been nice if they'd informed him. He simply could have changed the end somewhat (though I love its tragedy) and problem solved really.
Of course then you'd have the issues with season 7 I suppose, I doubt Spike would have kept his mouth shut, or for that matter someone like Giles if he'd tried to do what the First was attempting. I guess it's a no win situation.
Dru was also written fantastically in the book as well. The way Golden describes every detail as to how the characters look and move, it was just so easy to envision Juliet in the role. And I loved that he did a nice well rounded view of the Watcher's as well and didn't make them all stereotypically "bad."
'The Lost Slayer' is my all time favorite Buffyverse novel too. Real nail biting stuff. Wonderfully done. :D
The Lost Slayer was wonderful, I adore the idea of Giles as a vampire. And I loved the episode 'The Wish' so this alternate reality was right up my alley.

How can anyone not love Drusilla and Spike together. I adored them. Upto that point Vampires (except Angel) was made out not to care about each other and not have much emotion. Then these two come in and blow it all out the water. The passion they felt for another was so ... I just found them loveable even though they were the bad guys. I even sometimes routed for them. Oh my gosh, Spikes jealousity of her and Angelus, and Drus reaction to him and Buffy. Anyone who says they don't love each other are wrong man. Their love will never die!!!:heart::roll:
