Alec has gone for so long without remembering Rachel, Manticore made him forget all about it. And suddenly he sees where she stays and all the memories come back, and he realises that he loved her, and he lost her. I really wanted to use these lyrics since he had never shown any feelings, being an X5 he didn't really understand them, and he tried to forget, but it all fell apart, and now what they had is just going to be a memory. So I really wanting to show Alec falling apart, and the thing that's tearing him apart to be his love for Rachel. But at the same time, I wanted this idea of time moving on and separating the two of them to be in there. Well hope that explains it! I didn't want to go into too much detail on the back-story, :)

And because BWF is back, I snagged my original explanation from it, lol. Here it is, I think I may have said it better the first time you see:
Basically, Jensen's character in DA was Alec (so named for being a smart alec) he was quite ****y and nothing ever seemed to phaze him. Until he stumbled upon the home where he met Rachel, she was part of an old assignment, and he had fallen in love with her back when he was a soldier for Mantecore. He had been brought up as a Mantecore soldier and he never really knew what love was, and when he lost her he never really processed it. Now that he's free and out in the world and he's found her home, he suddenly falls apart. He spends his time rememberring her, the time before she was ripped away from him, and basically it's his moment of vulnerability. I used these lyrics to show how he had kept all his feelings inside, because he had now, and now that he's processing it, it's too late and she's just going to be a memory.




I have a couple of new entries, I'm not sure if you wanted them editted into one post or not, but since I can't seem to do that, I'm just sticking them here. One I did right after the other entry but the forum went down when I came back to add it in and it's been weird ever since, I was waiting to see if it would sort itself out, but apparantly that isn't going to happen by the looks of things. *sighs* Anyway, new entries... more Dark Angel. And again, explanations are under the tags.

Basically, Joshua is a 'transgenic' and he has a lot of canine DNA in him. Annie is blind and they kind of like each other. But there's a lot of public hate against transgenics and Joshua is forced to break up with Annie. At this point, she asks to see what he looks like by running her hand over him. And Joshua desperately wanted to be with her, to touch her, and for her to see him, but he has to get his friend Alec to step in. I really wanted to show Joshua in the dark and the shadows trying to step into the light, desperate to be near Annie, and I wanted to have Annie reaching out in the center with the light sort of radiating from her. Hope it came out the way I wanted, but hey.

Alec took away Max's chance to be cured and be with Logan. Alec has this moment where the guilt sort of flashes in his eyes, and he realises what she's giving up for him, and he tries to apologise but she won't accept it. So I really wanted to do a piece where Alec is walking toward this light, looking for forgiveness, and just looking up toward it, and Max is sort of in the background watching as he tries his hardest to say sorry. I felt this was a really vulnerable moment for Alec because he's never really had to feel guilty for his actions until now, and seeking her forgiveness is new to him. Well hope it kind of worked out like that anyway, lol.

I found the end scene of "Forever" to be a terribly vulnerable moment for Buffy. She had been kind of holding herself together for everyone and she just broke in this scene when she realized that she would never see her mom again. This scene makes me cry every time.

I'm sure she said any fandoms were allowed just so long as you left an explanation, that was why I did all my DA entries and did big explanations for them all, but she did give a list of shows she watched as well.

I don't quite remember the deadline, but I know when the forum came back up and we couldn't view the main page she had asked for a week's extension so that she could view all of the entries and be able to judge them, and I recollect the 2nd of June being mentioned as original date, but I could be wrong!

Again, I don't want to be spam-ing this board either, but hope that helps anyone who was wondering the same thing!

For those of you that don't know - David Boreanaz plays an FBI agent called Booth. Before he was FBI, he was an Army Rangers sniper. In the penultimate episode Booth and Brennan investigate the murder of a soldier, and this opens lots of old wounds for Booth. The scene I have chosen is when he opens up to Brennan about how he felt about taking a particular General's life in Kosovo. It's a rare moment for the tough guy cop to show his emotions - show his vulnerable side. It is also a moment that Brennan connects with him - something that is difficult for her to do.

That moment gives Brennan the opportunity to show him her vulnerable side...

Dr Brennan is a scientist, first and foremost and comes off very cold to those that don't know her. The only thing she really gets upset about is her family. Her parents disappeard when she was 15, and in the Season finale the remnants of her mother are discovered. This leads to revelations that her parents were, in fact, bank robbers living under assumed identities, and all her ideas about who she is are based on lies, including her real name.

On confronting her mother's killer, Brennan is referred to by her previous name by him, and on top of the lies he's told her about her parents, it causes her to go into melt down about who she is. (Of course, because she was there for him, Booth is there for her too)

Sometimes you hear a track for the first time and it immediately reminds you of a scene - and that is how it happened with this peice. Faith was at her most vulnerable when she was begging Angel to kill her in "Five by Five" - especially considering she was torturing Wesley 5 minutes previously and I wanted to show her breakdown with the aid of these lyrics. *Beware contains a bad word*

Alright, the last two episodes of the second season were really two huge vulnerable, epic moments for poor Dean, but I chose this moment, where he's admitting to the deceased Sam how he feels, what he knows, about his family dying. It's heartbreaking because he continually blames himself and doesn't allow himself to lean anyone for support (ie: Bobby).

So, this is basically the same idea as my first entry. I'm trying to remember if I entered this in the challenge as well, but it fits. This is when Dean finally finds Sam, only to see him literally stabbed in the back. This is a vulnerable moment for Dean because all he ever wanted to do was protect Sam, and he has to watch helplessly as his brother is stabbed and he can't do anything about it.

I chose this moment from "Pollo Loco" from Dark Angel when Max and Ben are fighting at the end, and Max breaks his leg and he begs her not to let the baddies at Manticore get him, a genetic mistake, because he knows that they will put him with the Nomlies (the other genetic mistakes hidden in the basement). He knows that there's something wrong with him, but he can't help it, and he begs Max to kill (which she does) to stop his pain and suffering and confusion.

You've seen this kickass scene where Ali Larter portrays three different roles in one scene. It's crazy. But it's also really emotional for Niki, as you know. And I decided to show her moment of weakness in the Heroes season finale when Candice, under the illusion of Jessica, shows Niki that Micah's "dead" and then continues to blame Niki for his "death" and DL's "death" before kicking Niki's ass. Killer scene, but sad moment of vulnerability for Niki who doesn't know how to use her powers and doesn't know how she can stop "Jessica."

Entry 1 - Father' Daughter

I decided to go with one of the first times we really see Veronica crumble, she usually puts on a tough front so this is unusual. When she goes to see Abel Koontz and he tells her that Keith may not be her father we see a really vulnerable side to Veronica.

Spoilers for Supernatural 2x22
Basically this wallpaper reflects on Dean being the most vulnerable when Sam is dead. He's lost all his family and finally his brother who he has bonded with since looking for John and Dean feels helpless and very lost because he doesn't want to hunt alone and has lost all faith in it. When he gets a crossroads demon to bring Sam back, he's finally ready to hunt again.
