Welcome to BuffyForums.net! We are a fairly new site created after BuffyWorld.com, which was our home for many years, went offline. We hope to keep the BuffyVerse alive here, also discussing new shows that have started since and keep us addicted to our TVs and computers! FANART

Fanart Challenges and Battles is all the challenges and battles go on! We have four challenges running at once and anyone can enter. You can sign up and see what’s coming up next in this thread. We also have Photoshop Battles going on and you can read all about that here

THE RULES

Before you start posting your art we ask that you read these rules through carefully and post in this thread to let us know you have read them and will follow them.

FEEDBACK
This is a community and it requires more than just pretty art to keep it going. Please take the time to feedback at least the four pieces above yours when you post your art. It’s always nice to receive comments, please join in and give some out too. If you are not posting feedback often when you post art you will receive a warning.

Please remember that feedback/questions to only one fanartist has to be made via PM. Post feedback to at least four fanartists, otherwise your message is spam.


OTHER PEOPLE'S ART
Don't post it. Art falls neatly under copyright laws and we don't want to have people mad at us for posting their stuff. If you want to post something that isn't yours, you sure as hell better get permission from the artist first. And always, give credit where credit is due. If you are discovered to be posting art that you did not make yourself, you will receive a stern warning.


AVATARS AND BANNERS
Yes they are art, but in the threads we like larger sizes (wallpapers/scrolls) we have a thread in the VIP section for banners as only VIPs can use them and we have a thread in the Fanart section especially for icons so please don't post them in the art threads themselves.


PICTURE SIZE LIMITS
Keep pictures 500 pixels wide or less. Why? Here on the fanart board we get the privilege of posting pictures directly into the threads. It's nice to be able to see everyone's art, but they make the pages take longer to load. So be considerate. Size your art down and link to the larger image.


DON'T "QUOTE" ART
Posting pictures uses bandwidth. The more the picture is posted, the more bandwidth it uses. Bandwidth is limited and costs money. Please be considerate of this and edit the actual picture out of your quotes. Text link to it instead.


NO DIRECT LINKING TO SITES THAT ARE NOT YOUR OWN
Again, a bandwidth issue. People aren't friendly to people who steal their bandwidth.


"MY ART" THREADS
Please don’t start threads just for your art. Put your art in the applicable existing thread, we have the Miscellaneous art thread for pieces you feel don’t fit anywhere else.


SPAM/DOUBLE POSTING
The fanart board is a spam-free zone. Please stay on topic in here. Two posts in a row is also considered spam. The only time this is expectable is when two or more days have gone by and no new posts were made after your own. If you are double posting/spamming you will receive a warning. Let’s keep these threads clean!


ICON ART THREAD
In the interest of loading time, we ask that you post a preview of no more than 10 icons from your set and then post the rest inside spoiler tags. This makes the thread not only load faster, but also makes it cleaner and helps people browsing the thread to quickly images in the new posts. Please post a minimum of 10 icons in each post so we don’t have 1 or 2 icons per post.
